Which is the best calendar app? - LG Optimus 2x

Hey everyone, i've been trying a lots of calendar apps since having this phone. With Android 2.2/2.3 i used the stock calendar, mostly because of its very good 4x3 widget. Now on ICS this widget has gone, and i am still searching for a proper replacement. Currently i am using digical, a long time acalendar was my choice. But only Digical+ has exactly the widget i am searching for, a 4x3 month view with events displayed. But about 5€ are waaay to expensive for a calendar app.
This widget size is of much importance to me because i am also using a birthday app with a 4x1 widget.
Are there any suggestions? Is there any app i didnt stumble over yet? What are you using?
Help would really be appreciated.

I use Business Calendar Free (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=netgenius.bizcal&hl=de) and I'm very happy with it. There are dozens of widgets of which you can choose, even in free mode. Don't exactly know about the 4x3, I'm using the 4x4 weekly view.

I don't see why 5 EUR is too much? Good software is as important as decent hardware.
Anyway, I tried tens of calendar apps and ended up with the paid version of Business calendar (try free first).

I'm using apw (paid) which offers also a nice Twitter and Facebook widget, together with anydo.

5 € is to much because its just an calendar app, and i only would buy it because of its widget. But will try business calender next, thanks for the replys

Now i am using business calendar. It has the needed 4x3 widget. And it has some great and usefull settings, even in free version. Thank you for that tip!

If you want a good calender application just search "simple calendar widget". It is for free avaliable in the play store.

It's already ported; it's the apw, android pro widgets, which I posted here before. It's paid, but I really like it. I don't have to much paid apps, just apw and swiftkey, and I can suggest you to buy apw because it's really lightweight and beautiful

Hey all - I am using Virus Rom and Launcher Pro comes installed. I like the launch keys; are they stock or is it a special theme? I tried installing Launcher Pro on another Rom an noticed the launch keys were icons instead.

The icons in yourscreenie are custom to the ROM. LP comes with the icons you saw when installing elsewhere. Those icons (the words) are probably available here somewhere. Try a search for "text icons" and I'm sure you'll find some.
Thanks!

I downloaded launcher pro icons which has a lot of different icon packs in it. Only problem is it force closes and gets buggy if you change the settings.
Has anyone else experienced the search bar bug (you have search bar on your homescreen, you search and the bar docks to the bottom of your notification bar) or the dialer bug (doesn't show recent calls in the dialer unless u dial and delete) in launcher pro?

Probably shouldn't belong here, BUT is there a way to get that "theme" for Launcher Pro?

Try Launcher pro plus widget for Facebook
Sent from my SCH-I500 using XDA App
I got the lasted clockwork and the latest Superclean and my stock Facebook app works like a charm. I get real time notifications (although the settings only offer every 30 min or more).
-1 for launcher pro plus widget. Its very limited. I use the official Facebook for android app for my notifications (which only work for me with the new ec01 rom) and I use seesmic if I want to copy a status or delete a post I made. I still use the lpp widget for news feed, but it takes a while to load. Just my 2 cents.
Edit- so seesmic also offers a widget that seems to update lather quickly and displays all feeds.

There's an ad supported version and a paid version. I personally bought the paid version simply because this is, by far, the best Facebook app I've ever used. The developer is constantly updating and it gets better everyday. I love the gmail notification option instead of the periodic polling one. The UI is sharp and the performance is very smooth. Barely any lag at all, although sometimes that depends on your data connection. All in all, I highly recommend this app.

yeah like maybe weather updates. In some videos I seen a weather RSS feed, you can even see it in the pictures on the market. Hope someone will take on the task. Once I learn java I will start.
