[Q] I9070P flashed with I9070 ROM, how to downgrade it to GB? - Galaxy S Advance I9070 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I've flashed my I9070P with I9070 JB russian ROM (I9070XXLPZ_I9070SERLPZ_SER from SamMobile site) and bricked it ofc. Warranty service wanted me to pay over 150$ for new motherboard, what is pointless with so cheap phone, so i've decided to not fix it. The funny thing is, that when i got back the phone, it actually work, but the phone "think" that it is I9070. Not everything works well and it's terribly slow. There's about 0.5 - 1s lag after pressing each button on a screen. My question is - is there any way to get it back to GingerBread? I can't find any downgrade solution for I9070P and I really dont want to brick it again. I would be very grateful for any advices
After *#1234# I get:
PDA: I9070XXLPZ
PHONE: Unknown
CSC: I9070SERLPZ
I can give you any additional info if it's necessary. cheers

So youre the first one running jb on 9070P
Search the forum for proper firmware and apply downgrade tutorial for non-P version
tapatalked

enjoy the jellybean goodness.. try factory reset..
i think I9070 and I9070p have different pitfiles or partition on internal storage..
not quite sure if it can adapt pitfiles of the former..

if you could hold on for a second before downgrading - you could test some things for other 9070P owners
could you try to root your device using the i9070(non-P) way, as specified here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2087424 ? and then try to replace /system/lib/tee folder with files coming from s3 mini NFC version? I posted it on my dropbox: https://www.dropbox.com/s/33xwln0d13uhfvq/tee-s3mini.zip - ofc don't forget to set proper permission - in gingerbread they are rw-r--r--
why this? actually replacing /system/lib/tee folder is the way to make custom roms from i9070 and i8160 to work for i9070P and i8160(NFC) respectively. currently we don't have any sources of /system/lib/tee folder from i9070P as no JB rom appeared yet, so "borrowing" it from s3 mini _could_ be some sort of solution
I don't if cwm/twrp backups do include the bootloader, but in case you'd need a "clean" TWRP copy of working gingerbread i9070P rom (no data) - I can provide you with that. maybe that would help better than odin flash

Maybe, if it's the only one I9070P with JB on the world, I shouldn't touch it at all, just sell it to some museum or smth for a lot of money
@adamuadamu
Ok I'll try to do what u said but... well, it looks like some serious action, i'm not sure if I can handle it. It would be much easier if you write me the same thing in polish on priv, then we post here what we get

PM sent in our native language.
waiting eagerly for the results
---
btw. can anybody tell me if there's rw access over adb to /system partition in stock recovery? I remember first frapeti's deodex scripts and they were able to make changes on /system partition within stock recovery. as pstysz wrote he wasn't too proficient on rooting and /system editing stuff, maybe it'd be the easiest way to provide him with a plug-and-play (plug-and-pray ) script.

I have copied most of the partitions (small ones, all except cache, system and data) from the phone. GB versions. If you need bootloader or something (except efs) then I can try to create a tar.md5 for you.
I can also give an experimental JB kernel built for i9070p. Never tested of course.

I'm in touch with the OP through PM.
replacing /system/lib/tee files didn't change anything. still modem says "unknown"
And he's willing to test some more things - any ideas?

I hope the OP follows his thread and will try that one and let us know
the other thing is the system drains the battery in 5-6 hours, as the user reports. can you post your compiled kernel, too? I suspect this may be similar to gingerbread, where i9070 kernels caused excessive battery drain when flashed to 9070P

dw, I keep an eye on that thread
@LaizyJumper
There are files with "test" postfix and normal ones, should I copy them all together?

Here it comes.
Just remember that it is never tested. And I have never built kernels for such devices before.
If that does not work then I can try to create a downgrade pack for i9070P - GB. Similar to i9070 version.
Edit: removed the attached kernel - it did not boot

I think it does not hurt if you just copy all of them as they are... I don't really know how those files are being handled / loaded.
Edit:
Here is a pack of files similar to I9070 JB > GB downgrade. Those files are taken from I9070P packages and device.
Nothing is tested. Use it at your own risk.https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/64321967/I9070P-recovery-files.zip

Hi, those "tee" files from sola did't change anything, modem is still "Unknown". After changing kernel for i9070P-not_tested-4.1.2-kernel.bin.md5 i cant't even boot my phone It goes in a loop, show Samsung logo for a sec and then reboot. The good news is that I still can run odin mode, but recovery doesn't work for now.
edit: oh, and thx for the downgrade pack!

Ok. Thanks for trying. At least I know now that kernel does not work. I will remove it from here.
You should be able to recover 9070 Jb kernel using Odin if you want that. But it won't make the phone usable of course.

No problem, too bad that did not work out...
I think that phone is cursed or something... I can't even downgrade it. It hangs on Samsung logo, even though I proceed exactly as in "How to Downgrade JB 4.1.2 to GB 2.3.6" topic. Ofc I used files for I9070P. The worst thing is, that I can't charge battery now, so I don't have much time for experiments. Could you help me for the last time?

Have you tried loading an official firmware for your device with Odin?
Firmwares from sammobile.com
Maybe it works after all those steps now. Don't activate repartition option when you load it now!
Btw. does it display I9070 or I9070P when you turn it on? Was it different before the downgrade procedure? I assume that this screen comes from bootloader. And it is important to know which loader is actually present now.

Unfortunately it doesn't help. It shows I9070P but it was like that all the time, even with JB. I think the service fixed bootloader, then saw the flash counter is >1 and send me back the phone because I didn't want to pay for new motherboard (which was the right decision imao). So they left the previous ROM and changed only loader. That's why it worked.

[Q] Rooting Samsung Galaxy Note LA6

Hi All, I've had this Samsung Galaxy Note for a few weeks now and have read over the rooting posts several times. Firstly I am 2.3.6, I realised I cannot directly root this phone and will need to downgrade, I've found the links with info and stock roms... however what I am not sure about is the specific version.
I really don't want to brick the phone!!!
Baseband Version: N7000XXLA4
Kernel Version: 2.6.35-7-N7000XXLA6-CL907341
[email protected]#2
I did find an LA6 rom but could not find one with the same modem version. Also going back to the old directly rootable roms, there is a huge choice, none of which match what I have so far... so really just wanting to know to work out which one to pick while keeping root and getting to version I have now??
Any help would be gratefully appreciated.
Is there a specific reason for keeping the reason you have?
The reason am asking is because you can use the pre rooted ROMs in this thread
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1535025
And you will end up with a newer ROM and root..
Modem is not an issue, you can flash the type you want and suits you best after accomplishing root..
No I guess not... just all is working well as it is but was just concerned about general compatibility but will give the europe one a go. Thanks
Aztec_Uk,
Did you manage to root your Note ?
I'm on the same build as you and would like to get rid of all my bloat ?

Hi, have to say I haven't worked up the courage to do it yet... I wish I could root and do a backup before playing... but the only way is to either downgrade as in other post or use these pre-rooted roms... this debating what to do... I really don't want to brick it or goto something I cannot roll back, as it works great at the moment but obviously bloatey and no root.....
Take courage!
@Aztec_UK and DblCng, just over a week ago I was where you are. Take heart, if you encounter problems and post them here clearly, there are some really expert and generous XDA members here who will help you. I will even try myself if I see you encountering something I ran into.
I opted for the Chainfire method and in this thread. starting at post #1170 you can read an almost blow-by-blow account of what I encountered and the help I got. Thanks list in post #1220. I didn't expect it to be all plain sailing and it wasn't. I do advise you to make sure you have enough time before you start - in the end it took me most of 3 days (and nights). Another tip I haven't found anywhere (though it's almost certainly here somewhere) is to forward your calls to somewhere else before you start. You don't want people ringing you on the phone when you're in the middle of rooting it.
My Note is now rooted and running just fine, and I'm having a great time zapping bloatware and foiling phone-homers.

Hi syncopath, thanks for replying... seems like a very friendly and helpful place.
I have a work colleague who was also like you and like I am now... then to get proxy support he rooted.... Then he took a while to eventually take the plunge and go for ICS 4.04... It was this week he came into my office and said... I've done it... sat there for 10 mins crossing fingers.
He had a slightly older stock rom on his note, it meant he could do a direct root without flashing and he also was able to do a good backup via root method...
I think the thing holding me back is that fact I can't make that solid back... I have to flash first... believe me I have hacked about with lots of phones and firmwares in my time, HTCs, Blackberrys, Nokia and done a jailbreak on an iPhone 4S... somehow this time around it's taking me longer to work the courage up, I've read a few posts on here.. of people ending up with a brick and no warranty... I just dread this situation... or if something should go wrong later I'd want to un-root so I had warranty... Any advice what any of you guys would do in my situation.. believe me I want root and to try ICS... I am twitchy! - just a bloated stock rom with no root is better than a brick/paper weight!!

I have the same model with LA4 modem and LA6 kernel. Use the XEU file from the pre rooted thread here as posted above, works perfect. The modem in that file is indeed an LA4, but like matius44 says you can flash any modem. For no wipe only flash the PDA file with PC Odin.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1535025
After that you can download mobile odin pro from the market and flash the ICS repack leak. Make sure to select the 3 root options in mobile odin before going to the repack or you will lose your root. The LA4 modem seems fine in ICS, but i did try the newest modem as well.
I followed the instructions for a clean install in the ICStunner thread. Make sure to read down to post #4.Stick with 1.4.19 if you choose stunner. Awsome smooth stable rom.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1552554
It's safe to flash back to that GB pre rooted rom from ICStunner as well.
Go for it, my phone has never been better and ICStunner is amazing.

Hi Kushracer
Your post was well put out and friend, will tick thanks button in a minute... ok, I followed step one.. put into download mode, already downlodeaded the rom you suggested before a few days ago... and PC Odin too... So, I did as you suggested and flashed just the PDA part... crossed fingers, it rebooted and I can confirm thanks to you I am rooted!!!
Before I go for next step I am going to ensure I do backup everything as much as possible and will be trying ICS tomorrow!!!
Your right I feel so much better... that was not that bad... and just the PDA section is replaced the same with Rooted!... Your advice did help me get the confidence to hit the button... Well pleased
Will keep you posted tomorrow on my next step... for me this is enough for the minute, got more time tomorrow so will have a long backup/ICS session then
Thanks
Aztec_UK... now with rooted Note!
Well this time yesterday I had a rooted Samsung Galaxy Note.... Now... not only do I have full Root, I now have CWM, ICS 4.04 and LP6 kernel... phew!! thanks to all for your help
Cool
Sweeeet! Hope you enjoy it as much as me. Just waiting on the official release so I can run a modded version of that now
On another note--- Backup your EFS partition! The stunner thread had the info so I hope you did that just in case.

Ok first of all I did follow the part of bodivas reply to me (thanks again!) I used one of the Stock Odex Pre Rooted ROMs..
found here:- http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1535025
I chose:- 3*Files No-Wipe N7000XXLA6_N7000OXEULA1_XEU Europe (03/02/2012)
downloaded and flashed via PC Odin... Crossed fingers and it worked, I had FULL root!
Then I Followed part of the second link as:- http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1552554 I followed the part about backing up my EFS (highly recommended!!) - that was as far as I went that night..
The following day I spoke to a work collegue... and went a different root to flash ICS.. I downloaded ICS Stunner 1.4.19 then used this method:- http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1614443 You must follow it step by step and I had to do a CF-Root to get CWM and then after that flashed Abyss to get RedPill... from there I flashed ICS and LP6 rooted kernel..
However I have noticed I do have root but I cannot write or mouse system for write access... so I have not got full root... I have re-read what to do about this and may need to reflash a different rom, however I already tested re-flashing first link with PC Odin which gives me GB Full root after ICS, so I am gonna play for a bit and retry this later... but you do have a quite safe roll back..
I was scared as hell to do any of this and a few days ago had a stock Samsung and did not want to root or reflash... I think as long as you follow instructions, check other users posts on how they get on, make sure your battery is charged, use a UPS or laptop with good battery (incase of power cut) then you should be ok, but you do take a risk of ending up with a brick, my biggest fear... so far trying to get full root I've re-done this 3 times!
Happy I did and think it's worth it as this rom is nice, thinking of trying 1.4.26 soon...
Hope this helps and good luck...
Same procedure... with ICS 1.26.1 .... now full root! - But nice safe way of trying ICS...... Looks like I gottta get the hang of Mobile Odin....
2 days ago I was scared but now I have the confidence to flash the rom on SGN
thanks for your info, i was very flash happy when on desire z i have flashed almost all the roms. but galaxy note seems slight different, but glad to see at least you get root work, i might just root and remove bloatware first and see how smooth it is, will think about flashing rom later might even just wait for ota ics
Aztec that was good of you but as long as u know how i feel that i have galaxy note and i cant do anything no root no ics can u help me about it by controlin my pc or tellin me what to do i need to root it so bad and i have kernal that doesn't let me root so i have to downgrade thats all the info that i have so if u have anytime free to help me i would be really thankfull because am sure u know how i feel or anyhelp on msn or skype chat that would be great

It works for JB too, after finishing it, if you had problems with IMEI do this:
1) Download Root Explorer from Play Store and use it to
2) Search you internal SD card for sdcard/backup/efs
3) Copy nv_data.bin, nv_data.bin.md5 and nv.log paste them into /efs in your Phone memory
4) Reboot to get back your original IMEI
or
you can start from the beginning.. go back to GB 2.36 (use a JVU ROM + Root, upgrade to ICS CM 9 and than to CM10
Solution for i9000 on JB:-Try not to jump from Gingerbread to Jellybean, as all upgrades should be done progressively. meaning you need to be on a GB 2.3.6> than into ICS and finally into JB.
For others, like missing IMEI, NO service, NO network problems, scroll down to EFS problems and Solutions

When i finished the install, i rebooted. Now my phone is booting into CWM only and cannot pass that...
hello!! my sgs i9000 is currently rooted with GB rom (2.3.4. surface rom) and semaphore 1.5.
can i flash from internal SDcard straight to some JB rom ? (like hellybean or c-rom mix)
i dont want to use odin at all : it has never flashed my sgs successfully on the first try, it always need 3 or 4 attempts and i'd like to avoid that step as much as possible, cause im on old GB already.
so hellybean installation guide, for the example, says:
- make sure to have gingerbread bootloaders (<- this step should be done since im on a GB rom, correct me if im wrong)
- flash allinone.zip
- reboot recovery
- flash allinone.zip again
- flash gapps
i have a backup of EFS folder and i'll wipe everything, also should i revert filesystems to rfs before flashing, or will ext4 work too? maybe that point is not important because of partitions being changed (i dont know...).i know there are tons of installation guides but i cant browse everything. so if i just do it like that way will it be ok?? sounds too good to be true. what do you think?

God you've made installing new ROM looks like walking on water.. , here are your answers:
1-You don't need Odin.
2-Yes if you have ClockWorkMod you can install new JB ROM.
3-You don't have to convert file system.
4-If you had problems with IMEI check quoted post in my first comment.

@dimsoron
In my case I didn't back up anything, yet I found efs folder in sdcard/backup/efs, so check it first and see what you have, and about the ROM version, it doesn't matter, you can flash any stock ROM even if it's region doesn't match yours, but I'm not sure if that can resolve IMEI problem.

Well I didn't go through this before, but I'm sure a lot of members here did and they'll tell you what to do as soon as they see your post, but don't worry since your problem is software related the solution would be relatively easy to apply, you can still flash stock ROM anytime with Odin, but make sure to stop KIES before you do it.
Have a look here also:

To avoid the loss of your IMEI please flash teamhacksungs CM9 build 16 twice before start to flash JB ROMs.
Sent from my Gameboy Color
flashed helly bean it worked flawlessly.
straight from 2.3.4 to 4.1.2.

[Q] Re-flashing GT-N7000 with Odin3...

Hello,
I have to tell you that I'm completely new at this, and therefore even more uncertain to start doing the job I think that needs to be done, without having you guys consulted first.
Two weeks earlier, after reading and studying the internet for lots and lots of hours, I decided to flash my Samsung Galaxy Note GT-N7000 (Netherlands), using the Odin3 (v.1.83) software, with the downloaded German firmware version: N7000XXLSZ_N7000OXALSZ_DBT. And fortunately, to my own big surprise, everything just worked out fine and I’m having Android Jelly Bean 4.1.2 installed and running in Dutch.
A few days ago, I read the message on the internet that for the Note GT-N7000, the Dutch firmware version: N7000XXLSZ_N7000XENLS4_XEN, finally became available and was now to be downloaded here http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/ . And so I did…
As I stated before, I am completely new at this and here are some questions I would like you to help me out with:
1. A little voice in my head keeps saying, that I should “re-flash” my Note again to have the right firmware for my smartphone. Although I would very much like that, would you also advise me to do so?
2. If so, would it be just as simple, using Odin3 again, as I did before (so: “just flash”) or am I thinking too simple now? So, whatever the answer, could you please explain me the procedure I should follow to have the Dutch firmware installed – if so advised by you?
3. I am also thinking about rooting my Note. I have seen several instruction videos on the internet, but most of them were explaining about rooting the Note that still had the Android Ice Cream firmware installed. I am not sure if I could “simply follow” that procedure, let alone, if the rooting software the videos are talking about would also work on an Android Jelly Bean smartphone?
4. If Odin3 also is capable of rooting my smartphone, would it be easier for me (being a novice) to use Odin3 as well for this purpose?
5. Would you please be so kind to advise me in this matter as well with the procedure for me to be followed and the software to be downloaded and/or used?
I really hope to hear real soon from you.
Thank you!
Robert.
1. there is not much of a difference between the 2 firmwares apart from a few widgets and lock screen shortcuts ( i think). its up to you if you want.
2. yes same procedure will just do fine for the new firmware too. detailed tutorial http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1424997
3. easiest way is using one of these kernels. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1901191. it will auto root and safe.. procedure requires an SD card. same explained here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1329360 procedure 1A
4. odin can be used to root but it will cause the counter to raise and yellow triangle at boot... so use the 1A method
5. As explained above

Thank you for your swift reply.
Advising me to use the "1A method", it says:
Installation
1.a Pre installation : (For clean installation, optional)
- Make backup with Titanium Backup or other similiar app.
- First flash GB ROM if you are on any other ICS/Custom ROM
- wipe cache, data from recovery on GB ROM
Would it be safe for me to think that, flashing my Note again, the "1A method" does not apply to me at this moment since I already have the JB ROM (4.1.2) installed and running? Also, when I flashed my Note earlier with the JB ROM (4.1.2) through Odin3, all the data on my phone was kept intact. Was I lucky here, or does that all make sence?
Now, reading most of these forums, I often stumble upon the word "kernel", which frightens me a bit because these "kernels" mostly need to be downloaded for use. What is it, talking about kernels, that you are really talking about then? I mean, I don't suppose that a kernel is the same as my N7000XXLSZ_N7000XENLS4_XEN firmware?
You also advised me to make use of this kernel http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1901191 but, using this link, I don't see and/or understand WHAT I should be downloading or WHERE I should be downloading this kernel.
Could you PLEASE (!) take me by the hand here (step by step), before I mess everything up and with that, killing my Note?
I hope to hear from you again soon.
Thank you!
Robert,
Netherlands.:fingers-crossed:
- 1A is not from the link you are referring to.. its in the 3rd step.. to root.. donot follow 1A from the first link. its not needed.
- yes.. even when you flash the Dutch rom.. it will be intact if you donot do a wipe..
- the kernel i linked you to is a safe kernel which when installed auto roots the device and install CWM recovery..
here is a link to the LSZ kernel http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=39105835&postcount=2749

OK! Thank you again!
Excuse me for still having some small questions left, although I begin seeing the light...
I've downloaded the kernel: PhilZ-cwm6-XXLSZ-OXA-4.88.2-signed (name of the RAR-file). Should I use both the Dutch ROM and the downloaded kernel-file to have them both installed, if so - in which follow-up?, or am I talking non sence here? Or, is the Dutch Rom included in the kernel-file?
I cannot start with the procedure right away, because I have to go to work now; maybe later tonight. I'll also have to find out first how to install the kernell through Odin3, unless ofcourse you could tell me right away.
Anyway, thank you for your help so far.
Again, I hope to hear from you - provided I'm not annoying you!
Robert
Its just the kernel,., its to root your phone.. you can use it on the current rom you have or later after installing the new rom.
is the Dutch Rom included in the kernel-file?

No.. considering the fact that rom size >= 900 MB and kernel size >= 8MB

Thank you again! But I am afraid, I still need your help .
After unzipping the Kernel file in a map on my desktop (see picture), I see three maps with several maps and more files included and the "zImage" file (which I think is the actual Kernel file?). Could you please tell me what to do next to let it all work within Odin3? Which file(s) should I pick and how and where do I connect them to Odin3? In short: ehhh... help?:crying:
Maybe I am making too much trouble out of it and am I seeing bears on the road that aren't even there - If so, I appologize. But please, take me by the hand here... A small relief however: I AM learning from your answers...
I hope to hear from you soon.
Thank you!

you donot need to unzip it.. just copy that file onto the ext sd card.. boot into recovery and choose apply update from external storage..

Hi,
About IMEI null/null with 4.4.4 firmware, you should search in this Q/A forum, there a lot of threads asking for this issue. Maybe you should get an answer yourself
However, you should try again to do a clean flash of latest official 4.4.4 firmware with ODIN v3.09 by following this GUIDE HERE from @MaHo_66.
AFAIK, it's impossible to downgrade from 4.4.4 because of KNOX bootloader. It has been said many times in this Q/A forum. Maybe it exists somewhere a tricky trick to do it but I'm not aware of this.

In Addition to @FLooDW 's answer:
Try to use Philz 6.48.4 or 6.59.0 as your recovery rather then TWRP or the old CWM (6.0.4.7), especially DON'T use the latest TWRP from their official website, its a broken build and its known to mess up the partitions! That could be your problem if you have done that before...
Any recovery you want to use, download from my RECOVERY/GUIDE thread that FLooDW linked to you, use those they work fine.
PS. before flashing official firmware with ODIN, make sure you have a custom recovery installed, then boot into recovery, wipe system/data/cache/dalvik-cache/internalSD/boot/modem etc. this is to ensure when you have flashed the firmware, there is nothing left from the previous firmware that was installed.
Note: when explaining your issue, try to do that by providing as much as possible info about your actions before and after the problem occured, that way anyone who wants to help can help you the best way possible.

Really helpful addition !
Trying what you guys have mentioned just now, let you know as soon as :good:
What 4.4.4. om do you suggest?
Also the efs I backed up (not sure if its working or not as it was with Rom Manager)
How do I restore, can it be done with root explorer?
Tried the [ROM][i9305][18.10.15]>>>4.4.4<<<[KK][STOCK][TW][STABLE][+AROMA] S5 Elite Lite v4.0
which I posted a few days ago, left a post with no reply and thats when I started getting the null/null
PSN_AGNi_pureSTOCK-v5.9.5-4.4.x_I9305_AROMA
Currently trying this rom.. watching the installation set up and says so far that set_perm: some changes failed
used philz_touch_6.59.0-i9305
Rebooting and stays on Samsung Galaxy boot screen ??

AGNi is not a ROM, this is a kernel. Did you flash AGNi kernel over official Samsung firmware ?
As MaHo_66 said, you have to explain more what you have done and what you need if you want us to help you.
Steps :
reflashed a Stock Rom then Rooted it then added Philz Recovery
Then Tried this rom : I9305XXUFNL1_O2UFOB1_4.4.4_KK.zip
Currently trying various modems to see what this gives me
Failing this will need to try QPTS or EFS Professional again.
* I know how to flash and root roms if you look at my signature along with kernels I am basically telling you what I have tried to get
this null/null away as I think its a baseband/modem issue somewhere as I have read various posts and some people agree.
Cant even do the *#197328640# or *#*#197328640#*#* to get into certain modes
Thinking it maybe the sim card slot now .......... I am losing my mind now!

There are few other possible solutions you could try:
- try this, it shows you how to get in service mode and the restoring of the golden efs backup, that should be present if its good.
If above doesnt work, then try the one below.
- have you tried to flash the param_bin file? if not try that with ODIN, it might work.. file attached.
Let us know how it goes.
H yes tied that file and didnt work
will the imei work from another phone or efs?
isnt that link just gps?

My Note GT-N7000 don't start anymore

Hi, I wanted to change the ROM of my old GT-N7000 as I recently got a Note 4 but I did what I should have never done.
I wanted to install TWRP to get the Spirit ROM. TWRP app downloaded well from the Play Store and I did it!
When I restarted the Note I stayed with the Samsung Galaxy Note screen and since several days I cannot found out anything to install a new Rom.
I searched the Web, found out a few guide saying to install CWM but I don't have any Recovery mode available now.
I still get the connection in Odin when I put the Note in download mode but that's all.
Please, if someone could help and tell me what to do. I'm a homeless and all my money is going into cyber to search for solutions.
I really need one.
Thanks anyway...
Really, nobody can help?

Hi, thanks for your answer.
I just don't have any idea of I could install.
Everything I tried failed or links are too old and things are not available anymore.
I do think I should format or erase everything and reinstall something but what and from where ?
If you can help I would thank you a lot as the phone is unusable since several days now...
Did you tried the firmware way?

Okay, so...
From my old stuff in an external HD i Have this :
ROM STOCK WIPE SAMSUNG - N7000XXLC1_N7000OXALC1_OXA (GingerBread).zip
Rooted Stock Odex N7000XXLC1 (GingerBread France).rar
XEU-N7000XXLT9-20130611091825 (Jelly Bean Euro).zip
In the link you gave me they ask to download a firmware from SamMobile but they are 3 for the French GT-N7000 and my last update was a 4.1.2 working with any provider, even in Spain (I do live in Spain). Secondly, one have to be a premium member to download those firmware.
I think I should be able to install what I need using files I already have but Odin doesn't recognize .zip or .rar files and I don't know what to do. I upgraded the system a few years ago and don't remember how.
I also have no idea if zhat i recently did with TWRP changed partitions size and if it is the case then I have no idea of how to use PIT files.
Also, those guides refer to versions of program not available anymore and sometimes they changed names of buttons...
Have you repartitioned your phone? Those .zip files have .md5.tar files and odin recognise then in the AP section. I think that the 1-st .zip maybe is firmware. For download firmwares only you need to register for free to download firmwares with slow download speed (aproximately hour or two for downloading a single firmware file).

No I didn't change size of partitions...
I finally tested a XEU-N7000XXLT9-20130611091825 (Jelly Bean Euro) I had (don't know where it comes from). Unziped and opened in Odin with the AP button.
It installed this new ROM and the phone started but is not rooted anymore. I have now a 4.1.2 which doesn't seem to be one a got before,
At least I can start the phone...
What surprise me is to see the TWRP app on the phone screen and also SuperSU. SuperSU say the phone is not rooted.
Now, I suppose I have to forget everything about TWRP and must think about CWM no ?
If I want to test and then, install different ROM I sometimes see that TWRP is the one needed to do the job...
What do you think I should do now ?
Root the device using CWM or something different ?
You can try everything you want in the Android development section but this time follow the steps as they are and use the kernels and recoveries that are suitable for the deserved rom. Probably your Note is with custom 4.1.2 now. I am now using my Note with Leanige OS, based on CM12 and android 6.0 and am not having problems plus the phone is running very smooth and fast. This rom is using own Kernel, recovery and google apps(gaps) package.

You really interest me...
I'm surprised cause it's because I found out a guide to instal a 6.0.1 which needed TWRP that drive me to install it.
I'm really confused too because I downloaded TWRP app from the Play Store and it accepted to downlñoad and install the app to my phone. It also accepted to download the Rom and it's when I restarted the device that I met me with an unusable phone...
So ?...
Sure, if I wasn't alive I wouldn't have done that but is it all my fault ????
I would ne glad to get all the steps you did and files you got to install your ROM on mine Ç(as far as it speak french and spanish too )
Is it "Leanige OS" or "LineageOS ?
What about the battery ? The autonomy ?
And I must say I'm a homeless and don't have a computer with a 22= screen in my backpack. Also I have only 1 Gb of data each month so...
Most of the time when I have problem that means I have to go to cyber and this is never free....
Then I cannot really read everyday everything about all my devices ( and I'm not only speaking about phones)
Anyway thanks a lot to everybody who help me...
This is what I use now : https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-note/development/rom-nightowl-alpha1-t3255536 It is stable and usable as a every day phone. I followed every step Bauner wrote and I don't have issues for now. Battery life depends on the use of the phone and how old is the battery. Mine is 2012 and it can hold 1 day and it is logical.
Try using Kies to restore it. I had to use Kies to update the OS on my bratty little sisters Note as she had gotten it running full throttle all the time.

Hi, I will try now to upgrade the ROM but wanted to ask you if you make any change to your partition size and if yes what did you do, I mean how much place did you allow for the system?
Tell me if your phone is rooted and how you did it and if you have CWM or TWRP installed please...
Thanks
I downloaded those two files:
N7000_STOCK_PIT.zip => In case I have to reinitiate partition size one day
n7000_(16gb)_4_6_8_10_12gb.zip => Cause I think this one should be the one I need.
I suppose I should be allowed to use the ROM I just previously installed which give me a 4.1.2
Well....mine is repartitioned with 8GB internal and 5gb for sdcard0. It is rooted of course with TWRP. Rooting comes with the rom. It has SU instaled and to root the device you only need to go in the dev options and to tick on the root acess.

I am dowloading this https://forum.xda-developers.com/devdb/project/dl/?id=25384 and I am a little bit surpised cause of the file size...
It should be bigger for a full OS no?
I'm a little bit stuck with this http://opengapps.org/?arch=arm&api=6.0&variant=micro
What version should I get and how did you install TWRP ? The las version of this ROM must be installed with it...
Well I lied to you. I am using Philz touch CMW recovery and sorry for that. The size of the Rom is normal. With the Gapps you just need to hit the download button (red one) and flash it later. Install could be not a big problem. The steps are in the post. If you didn't find them here they are: Copy Rom + Google Apps to your sdcard.
3.flash PhilZ-cwm6-XXLT6-XSA-5.06.1.tar.md5 (https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=745425885120702299) to get cwm recovery by using odin or mobile odin
4. boot into recovery
5. flash this kernel https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=95887005526788121 to get an updated cwm recovery
(this step will make your old rom unbootable stuck in the n7000 screen but you can boot into recovery with press and hold "home" and "volume+" buttons and power on your phone)
6. you need to reboot! your device now to recovery
7. you are now in the updated recovery and you need to do a factory reset (and to go sure you should also format the /system partition)
8. you can now install the rom and gapps and reboot your device
