The Apps section has a thread where someone says 'ask in general'
General says 'dont ask questions here'
and under Q&A here we have this thread.
The FAQ for the XZ just says use another camera app. I want to use the standard camera app and to use any hardware button to take a photo, i've searched (and found a few threads discussing it) but with no firm answer.
Anyone??

same idea that a was found some apps that allow to take picture with volume button but i'm actually looking for some mod that could change how this button work in the xperia Z standard camera ( there is a mod for s3 ) p/s would me so good that i will able to take picture under water

I am unaware of any hacks to the youtube app to enable HD for the galaxy s but I would most certainly love to have one.
Was reading over in the SGS2 forum that you have to change the dpi to enable it. It appears as though it is only for high resolution devices. The thread was in their general forum.

Go in Youtube application > Settings > General Settings > High Quality on Mobile . Check this option and you will have all videos loaded HD by default

obviously you have no idea what "professional" means. tip: go and check the FV-5 app that the OP has mentioned in the first post.
it's like someone would ask you for a good mirrorless camera and you would refer him to Samsung Galaxy Camera instead.

I understand that everyone wants to make this camera in the Ultra better... Its not going to happen! The camera is average. Simple.
The best you can hope for is an HDR app that composes images and makes them look saturated.
FV-5 doesn't do what it says. It makes slight improvements in noise reduction, but the settings don't effect the image like you would expect. Especially the ISO... disappointing...
There are many professional apps that cost 5$ or more, that hardly do anything different.
The advice i offered was relevant despite you not knowing any better.
additionally... the stock camera does offer location by GPS and time in shot as well.

As if that matters? Camera app for android is a camera app for android... Only thing that might matter is the fact that (for example) ISO settings can not be controlled by 3rd party apps as far as I can tell so far.
I've searched all of the Google play and let me tell you something, android just does not have any pro camera apps... You're gonna have to wait a long time for that!

I've tried a lot of apps FV5 is probably your best bet snap camera seems to have an active dev that keeps improving it. If you want to get the most out of you camera your best bet is to use FV5 in PNG format take the full size picture and use lightroom or PS to post process your images. Perfectly clear does a pretty decent job if you want an automatic enhancing app.

are you take the pictures whit the stock camera app? or use other
Thread title made me think of an app of the same name that works on the iphone called procamera.
Its claim to fame is it allows you to set focus and exposure seperately. So you can tap to focus, lock it then tap to set exposure, say in spot elsewhere without losing the earlier focus.
Wondered if anybody knows of something similar in android ?

Pro capture was one of the first apps I ever bought. I think it's good but it didn't support 20mp only 8. But I think it now supports 20 so I'll have to try it out

If you zoom on the hat you could see how procapture is able to reproduce much more details.

i have tried these app.

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.rageconsulting.android.lightflowlite tried the little version, but I don't like the interface and doesn't seems to work well in my device.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ledblinker don't like the interface, but I like the option that allows me to set how long the led is on, how long is off, don't know if it works with custom app, because the little version doesn't allow to add any custom app.

so you see, yes I have tried apps, and a lot more of what I have listed here. and this question, I searched in this forum for this device, xperia ZR and didn't see any thread about it, so sorry if it is a replicated post, and if you have link to other thread about this topic, in our ZR device, please be my guest and point me in the right direction.
