Custom BOOTANIMATIONS for Galaxy MINI(cm7){UPDATED ON SEP11}

Hey guys i am here with some of my work on BOOTANIMATIONS for our Galaxy MINI
I just picked up some bootanimations and modified them for our MINI.
*Tools Required; Root explorer or something like that.
Procedure(Its quite easy and simple)
*Firstly rename the downloaded file into bootanimation.zip
*Copy it
*Then using Root Explorer go to>> system/media , there you will find a bootanimation.zip file replace it with your downloaded file(NOTE:before you do this copy your stock bootanimation.zip file and keep it safely on your SD card)
ANd now finally we are DONE!!!!!!!

NOTE: All These BOOTANIMATIONS Are for 240*320 Resolution and SCREENSHOTS are just for DEMONSTRATION they are not of ACTUAL SIZE

Looks nice. Btw, I have changed some bootscreens before but I have never changed permissions. Is it really needed? Because all the screens worked fine with me.

Bro when we follow this copy and paste method the permissions of your that new file are not of the root folder,so it is necessary to make those permissions same.Otherwise all you will get a black screen only So just try out the method if there is any problem with that...then just let me know

Thanks bro,for informing....i got your point, today i checked out that really there is no need to change the permissions.That was only my stupid mistake
So again thanks for Sharing your views.

Dude just downloaded one of the bootanimations copied it and overwrited it in system/ media / bootanimation.zip but still no change

Bro you should try it again now just delete the system/media/bootanimation.zip and then copy there any of the bootanimation,(Dont forget to rename it into bootanimation)
This should solve your problem otherwise try to change the permissions (using Rootexplorer)

The weather is work perfect with animation instead..
Note = to make animation on weather lockscreen work is just "INSTALL 9S WEATHER" first

If you want lockscreen animation in english is simple, just translate the ".xml" file inside the advance folder in lockscreen..
All u wanna do is
1. Rename ".mtz" file to ".zip"
2. Exrltrack it to any folder u want
3. Then found the lockscreen file and rename it to "lockscreen.zip"
4. Then extrack it to anywhere
5. Go to "advance" folder inside lockscreen that you've extrack.
6. Found ".xml" file and open it with any text editor example like notepad
7. Open google translate or other translate site
8. Copy/Cut weather information and translate it.
9. Paste the letters that you've translated, close / save
10. Zip it all of that you've extrack
11. Rename the zip file to ".mtz" file
Open it with theme or import theme
12. Apply an enjoy :thumbup:

I installed the 9s weather shows on lockscreen but shows C° ive changed it to F° but no change there, still learning how to change and move files on phone, sorry for noob question but is there an easier way to make english? Thanks

It has to be changed in the lockscreen manifest to F°. Maybe pm the op and request a f° version. :thumbup:

I dont know more about it..but just trying to help you by giving the ans.
I think you hve to do some changes in systemui about your lockscreen.and afterwards do some change in the build.prob as about default lockscreen..

Nope is not possible in the build.prop
But its possible in smali
Go to android.policy.jar
Lockscreenpatternview.smali
Find the name/codename of your stock lockscreen and when found change the lines of code to other lockscreen code

i have same problem.
i'm trying to **** a rom and i want to set a lockscreen style (sliding tab) as a default.
i dont know how to do it!
i didnt find any thing related to lockscreen in android policy.jar
i even couldnt find Lockscreenpatternview.smali too!
should i add or edit line's on build.prop or some xml?
any hint?

You must decompile the apk first. Search apktool and how to use it

i know how to use apktool.
i edited pngs and xmls and its working.but when i flash my rom i have to set the lockscreen (slidind tab) style manually!
but i want to do something that when i flash the rom the lockscreen style (slidind tab) already is set.

With Root Explorer, go to system>app> backup LGMms.apk and Gallery.apk. Next go to the following LGMms3.apk and GalleryLG3.apk and copy / paste them to system>app. Next set permissions to RW - R - R. Then reboot. And enjoy. :laugh:

I set the zip in the directory, but the only thing i noticed is the facelock only.. no new lock screen no, gallery ..

and gallery and mms.apk is contained into a zip, so unzip and put .apk in system/app

with 30b there aren't problems..can you try with nemesis #2?

Have tried it on both versions and im having lots of sod's most especially the mms app but gallery is working fine,im back with the stock mms

it is not same. your link for mdpi devices and has 4x4 home, i gave original link which i resized with emwno permissions.

u can add city by "edit" and then "search" in city list screen menu..

Well, don't give it a miss...Extract the zip file and copy
1.Sec2Launcher.apk and BadgeProvider.apk to /system/apps folder.
2. All other files from the zip file to their respective folders in /system
Set permissions rw-r-r for all files..Reboot and the install Accuweather widget files manually...(if you want the weather widget)
And you can link files or move to ext partition etc..Thus considerable space can be freed...

Anyone know why accuweather doesn't install itself on my Balt Rom??

Set permissions rw-r-r for all files..Reboot and the install Accuweather widget files manually...(if you want the weather widget)
And you can link files or move to ext partition etc..Thus considerable space can be freed...

For me, without any script, widget dont works...

Maybe need ext4 partition..? However make sure you have enough system space,not only the necessary. Ie: 20 mb free an accuwidget is 20 mb. It wil fit well but if it needs to create some cache files it cant do it because of no space.
