Play better games. Many games autohide buttonbar if they are made that way. Don't blame sony for it because its the same with other companies.

Idiot Sony?!?!!?!!
Have u ever used touch phone?
have u ever seen Nexus devices?
physical buttons are good for those phones that cannot work properly and have lots of bug and lag
and @indycar is right
u should use another game !!
anyway the solution is custom rom
search for custom rom that support always auto hide button

3D Game Recommendations?

I've tried Quake 1 & 2 and both are somewhat problematic and it doesn't look like any tweaking has been done for a few years now.
Are there any really well done (free or pay) 3D games out there that work on Kaiser? A nice FPS ala Unreal or Quake would be fun.
with the current 3d driver problems, there should no one of this game work perfect.
hope that the driver will be released soon, otherwise there is no chance to get games working
Not 3D, but definately action packed! Worms World Party! What a game
Call of duty 2 !! works decently to hi def. mode & very good in low resolution

Yeah, i experienced this issue. It seems the game can't recognise the centre button, or the left/right button (the ones which can be used to select calendar/contacts from the today screen). Which is a shame. But anyhow, controls are as follows:
fire = PIE button (makes sense i suppose... not!)
jump = Messaging key
backflip = Windows Key
PM me if you want the full version.
Hope this helps!

I remember one day I was digging throug emuparadise and seen they had a android games section well it happens to be that a cracked version of mc is on there. I can open it on my droid navigate menus and such but when I open the game it gives me about 10 seconds to move then the phone freezes. I think if someone knew how to edit the file just a slight bit it would work. Also a six axis controller app is required.
I reeeeeeeeally hope we can play it on our phones.

I can't wait for this app to come out for everyone else. I saw someone playing it on their Xperia Play phone last week and it looks quite awesome. It's not as fully featured as the desktop version of Minecraft of course, but it's still got enough to it to make it worth it in my opinion.

(Q)Switching from Xperia Play to Note?

Hey
I got i xperia play right now wich is great for gaming thanks the game pad... But im reallyinterested in because of its large screen and its powerfull hardware.
But how bad are the touch controls really on such a big screen?
I tried playing super mario 64 on my girlfriend´s galaxy s2. it works okay but its nearly impossible to control certain things like the long jump (press z forward and A) because the z button is on the top and its very awkward to make this move.
The screen its awesome.. You can always match ps2/3 or any other bluetooth control to the device

If the operation involves touch, its never too big to control. Galaxy Note's One handed operation options can also be used to limitize spacing.. Besides, i don't know what keyboard your GF was using on her gs-2, u can always try different keyboards to see your desired location of "Z". in my case its below A.
If I helped, hope you will consider hitting your first ever "Thanks"

Soft buttons major issue

I'm amazed that when in landscape the buttons don't stick to the right hand side like they do on the GNex, it's a terrible waste of real estate.
Do you guys have any ideas if a hack will be possible to achieve this? (Given it's the case with the GNex it can't be that hard I guess?)
Should be renamed to "Soft buttons minor annoyance"
Well you say that, I think I'm going to be DSR'ing the tablet due to it.
Eventually developers will make the Nav bar hideable and most likely moveable and smaller via dpi changes like on the Galaxy Nexus. You might want to give custom ROMs a chance to mature before returning the N7.

I don't want an iPad, just an option to anchor the soft button area.

I believe modacos rom will be putting it like that real soon

its done for a reason.
the majority of newer phones are launching with the 1280x720 resolution with hard keys, and as a result, app devs are designing apps for 1280x720 resolution. our resolution is 1280x800, so what google does is rotate the keys so it uses the bottom 80 rows of pixels, leaving the rendering area at 1280x720 for games and apps. this way, we still get games and apps at full resolution, whereas with devices that keep the soft keys in the same place, the resolution gets cut down to 1196x720, and then games get shrunk to either 1196x720 or 1196x672 with black bars.
i personally have no problem with it at the moment, but ive only had my device for a few hours of play time. ideally, i'd like it relocated to the top so i dont hit it when im playing games, but tis a minor gripe.

Yep, one of many reasons why I wouldn't buy an iPad, I felt a custom mod would fix this and indeed it did
So both the Galaxy Nexus and Nexus 7 have dynamic capacitive buttons instead of actual physical buttons. I was actually under the impression that this black bar was a separate capacitive display from the main display. Now that I actually see a Nexus 7 in person, this black bar appears to be just a part of the screen.
So am I actually getting 1280 pixels?
If you have root, you can try GMD HideBar XDA.
And GMD GestureControl also supports Nexus7.
These are just root apps, not system mods.
So part of the 7" 1280x800 screen is being used by the controls... I guess except for videos and pictures.

Correct, apps can go full screen, like the default video player, but most don't which is very annoying playing games in landscape mode.
Just to follow up I've now enabled tablet UI (160 DPI) on the N7 and I think that deals with my issues with the softkeys, I will try a mod to anchor them to the right in landscape mod when a free one comes out.
We need a mod. A mod like the CM7 tablet settings, where you have the option to select "Softkeys Left, Right, etc". CM7 also options which softkeys you want, and in what order. Without changing dpi. That would be tits

[Q] Can't download Gameloft HD games from Google Play

Hello everyone, Its been just two days since I brought my brand new Xperia TX from Sony Showroom.
Problem is, I cannot download Gameloft HD games like, Modern Combat 3 or 4, N.O.V.A 2 or 3 or 4. Saying that my device is unsupported. My very cheap Local Walton(only 1 GHZ 1 core and 512 RAM) Android Mobile supports all of the mentioned games.
Though I played and finished Modern Combat 3, which was downloaded form torrent with SD data.
Why my Xperia TX is not supported, Its a Play Station certified mobie. :crying:
I seem to remember a very similar thread to this one.
It ay be in the Q&A section, you should search for it and post in there.
Or, you can realise the other thread was started by you and that there is no need to start a new thread for the same issue
You can follow the advice I gave to you in the other thread. Email the app developer and ask for support
I just checked the PLay store for all those titles and all where available and registered compatible with my Xperia T.
Possibly not available in your region? Or they havent distinguished between T and TX when listing compatibilities.
Only thing you can do is raise it with the developers and ask them to investigate. At the end of the day they are the ones losing your custom to torrents when you are more than willing to pay for the games but can't.

Sounds then like gameloft are not distinguishing correctly between T and TX you will need to contact them directly. Should be details on contacting them on the item pages.

OK, you have been given the same advice now twice in this thread and once in the other thread you created about this.
Have you actually followed through and done it yet?
So for the fourth time, email the developer and ask them to add support for your phone.
^^^^
Do what gregbradley mentioned above. In case of App incompatibility the best the thing to do, is to inform the developer, wait and see what they reply.
Thank you all very much. I really appreciate. :good:

You can still use the "SD Data" method to play any kind of HD games. I played Modern Combat 3 & 4, N.O.V.A, NFS MW and other HD games in my Xperia TX by Installing apk and copping SD Data.

How about the heating issue? Do you fell that TX's screen gets too much hot when playing HD games?
I didn't faced any problem yet, but I'm tensed about this heating issue. Cuz it may harm the screen or SD Card as I saw many toasted?broken SD Card issue in many forums.
