Hello. As the title says - I'm tired of tens of megabytes of RAM being used silently in background by this insanely frustrating app.
I already managed to completely delete Facebook Inside Xperia to prevent any unwanted wakeups but there's still something Facebook-related running in background related to a stock app...
Can any of you recommend nice and functional replacement for the stock Facebook app?
Cheers

Works MUCH better than the previous version. I'm getting no force closes or weird behavior anymore. The UI is also cleaned up quite a bit.
I removed the previous version and pushed it to /system/app/

Wow, solid upgrade from the previous version. I only miss the ability to delete files. We're never satisfied, are we?
Could you post the apk?
I'm getting a 403 when clicking the link

Has anyone gotten the music app to sync with their Google account?
Sent from my Nexus S using XDA Premium App
Looks great; unable to synch, but I now at least have the repeat/shuffle options I used to have, and the UI has been refreshed nicely.

When you install you get 2 music apps.

Anyone tried uninstalling it yet? I guess it leaves no trace? Just got worried as it said "upgrading this system app" when I was installing it! Want to make sure I can get back to stock if needs be
It just updates the original music app. If you want to get rid of it you can go into manage apps and uninstall the update just like all the other system apps.
Thanks just wanted to check before I try it

:good: Thanks bro. You're fantastic. Here I request has a reason.
this app is great because official FB app consumes too much memory and it doesn't. Also, this is the only FB app that I know can be used in China! (Official FB web/app will be blocked)
Hi guys, is it possible to install the stock email apps from HTC or samsung on to the z?
I find the built in email app to be garbage and the others I've tried from the App store are pretty bland.

I've tried it and it's the best so far but it still falls short compared to so many stock mail apps on other phones I've used. I'm struggling as to what to do next.
Surely there must be a way to get the htc mail app as it's so much better
Have you found the solution?

This is directed to all who know something about java and in this particular case smali.
Is it possible that dialer, contacts and sms stock apps take so much seconds to open ? We also have a bug into stock launcher about apps that disappear from folder if them are installed on the second storage and keyboard is very slow..
Well this is the point: is someone (with the knowledge) interested on trying to improve those apps? I know that there are alternative apps but the intent is improving the stock ones, if it is possible. All working methods are appreciated!

Hello all,
Back in KitKat (I think), google's default app for phone/contacts had the option to only display contacts with numbers. (great idea!)
For reasons beyond anything I can imagine, they stupidly removed this feature. (Horribly stupid idea...sigh)
Is it possible to run the older phone app/contacts app on newer roms? 7.0?
I like the stock app. Fantastic app, excepting for the horrible stupid decision to break needed functionality by Google.
Thoughts? Options? Ideas?
Thanks!
Just a thought you could find the apk from KitKat and then install that. If it works. Use something like titanium backup and long press on the app from within TB and select remove market link. This should prevent the app from auto updating. Haven't tried it but i agree. The contact with phone numbers only was great.

Thanks for the direction. I'm a technical user, so I can chase this down. Why would they remove it?
