why do people want to buy zero lemon battery? - Galaxy Note II Accessories

I can understand that if you work in a cave for 4 days straight, you want might want to the zero lemon battery, but for a average office worker with a 9 to 5 job in a city, where plugs is available at work, why would you want to buy the zerom lemon battery. It's seems to me there is no real benefit and the added weight and thickness makes the phone less portable.

When people want to use a real portable device, they want to stay away from the outlet for as long as possible until they're about to go to sleep.

Dude your hardcore if you outrun a 3100mah battery!

Because my solar charger can't quite keep up when I'm off grid for a week.

if your jogging consists of walking 15-20 miles while simultaneously using a gps running app and watching hours of movies...then yeah...maybeeee a bigger battery would be necessary =P

no one here has a legit reason to get a 9300 mha battery?

Some people travel and do not always have access to an outlet for extended periods of time. Use a power bank? Not very convenient to have the cable attached to your phone while using it. Infact, it can double as a power bank- over at the zero lemon thread there is a guy charging other people's phones. It could not only charge phones, but other devices too such as a digital camera battery if need be. Why do people have the 6200 mah extended batteries? For most of the reasons listed here. Also, the zero lemon appears to add very little bulk while adding 3100 mah in a very unique design.

Per your opening post question, maybe there isn't an average office worker who wants this battery. More than likely people with different circumstances own these. People who assume everyone else must have the same needs as them are pretty closed minded.
I don't own one but my guess is that those who do are in situations frequently where they don't have easy access to electrical outlets or simply are annoyed more by frequent recharging than by size.
Sent from my SGH-T889 using xda premium

Not gonna lie, I wish they could implement a battery the same size as the 3100mah, but higher mah's. I just got a 6200 Hyperion battery/case and can definitely feel the extra weight for sure.
I got a bigger battery as I get tired of having to plug in mid way to my work shift. Kinda defeats the purpose of being a mobile phone. Most days I would get through a work shift, but there were those down days at work and be half way, plugging in....
Honestly not sure if this Hyperion battery is any better. Seems to be going the same rate my 3100 mah Samsung was going.....
Worse case, send this back and pick up Some 3100 Anker batteries to swap out.
Choices is always good. At least we have this option still, lol!

As a matter if fact, it's pretty funny that someone who owns such a huge phone would ask this question since people with "normal" sized screen phones from 3.5 to 5 inches probably think the same about your phone choice. "Why would anyone need such a huge screen when the average person would be able to get by just fine with the ALREADY huge screens of something like a GS3!" If I had a nickel for every time someone asks me that when they see my note 2.........sheesh!

If I was closed minded, I would not have asked for reasons, right? The fact that I want to know why, shows I am willing to understand the motive behind it.
I really hope that we can have a meaning and mature discussion without resort to name calling or labelling.

Another reason which could have been missed, the company itself is named ZeroLemon for a purpose they stand behind their product and it's quality, and it's true 9300 mAh capacity. There are only a handful of brand names I trust which have consistently delivered per their label, aside from their price difference. Plus a commitment to post pone a release of production-ready battery because tpu case (which is not even part of the battery functionality) wasn't fitting right - speaks highly of them. Of course, I have never tested their products and don't know about the quality until I have it in my hands. But based on all the preliminary reading and a few email exchanges, I will give them a benefit of a doubt!

I ordered it, 100% legit. It's a great upgrade for the phone. While it does look thicker, it's feel is actually better. You can easily get a full day out of this battery with heavy use. I purchased it as a 'when I need my phone all day' kinda battery. No worries.
Only thing is the back bezel doesn't come with the metal around the headphone jack. But the case is OEM.
Ultimately do what makes you comfortable. Just thought I'd share my experience. Everyone on these forums have been so helpful to me thought I'd put my 2 cts in. I was a little skeptical too. Battery is red and says HTC (easy enough to do) but received in 2 days and couldn't be happier. 2 best things about are not having to have an ugly hump and no longer having to hear my brother (ex iPhone user) ***** about the terrible battery life. So in short 2 people very happy with these.

Anyone still buying std Inc batteries?

I've got two D-INC std 1500 batteries that are used( 6mo, 2mo) and a back cover for one too. I was just wondering if people are still willing to buy the original batteries rather than going for the higher end ones that are out now? I just have no use for them myself as i've upgraded to a D-INC II and no longer have the D-INC handset it self due to it being sent back to big V for repair/trade for the II.
selling price within the US?
If your battery has an STD, you might take it to the clinic. I'm pretty sure they can clear that up.

I think you are all missing the point of this battery.
I was in Thailand with the arduos task of taking 3000 photos on my note. My small batterys didnt last that long and was also hard to grip. The big phone with big battery was far superior. Obviously it destroys the look but for usability it is amazing.

Cheap no brand batteries are NEVER as good as the quality OEM products. I'll reserve judgement on this thing until someone's reported on its actual performance.

Power Jacket 3200mAh for LG G2

While I am still waiting for my new LG G2 (D802) to arrive in the mail, I went ahead and started looking for accessories online. During my search I came across this extended battery case, a Power Jacket 3200mAh:
http://www.mobilefun.co.uk/power-jacket-3200mah-for-lg-g2-black-p42963.htm
https://shop.brando.com/Power-Jacket-for-LG-G2-3200mAh_p10405c1599d3.html
Has anyone tried this product or has any experience with products from this company?
Also it is very disappointing to me that this battery case covers the volume and power buttons when it is attached to the phone.
Why would you need it? Some people are getting 60 hours on battery with 6 hours of screen-on time.
I usually use my mobile devices heavily, especially during my trips abroad and I always find myself either using an external battery (which I find inconvenient to carry around) or looking for power plugs to plug in my device. The 3000mAh was one of the main reasons I bought this phone vs the Nexus 5. So a battery case could be very useful to me. But again this is just my personal opinion and it reflects my usage of my own mobile devices.
Did u realize that casing close both power button and volume button.
Sent from my LG-D802 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
True, but then again there are controls for both the volume and turning the screen on and off without the need for buttons...
You can also grab the same model off of ebay.... only place i had seen this before this thread... Ordered one the other day so hopefully not long before it turns up.
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/121231899528?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649
Yeh the hiding of the buttons is annoying but I can work with that as im also loosing the quickview functionality from the case I already have which is more of a nice to have.....
Started playing some games which is murdering the battery pretty quick so will be good to see how much more i get out of the battery.
Yes I am aware of that, and I stated that in my initial comment:

This thing looks great and I wouldn't mind the power/volume buttons being covered, but it looks like the speaker and bottom mic would covered, meaning it would only viable while using headphones.

Will do, although will be a week and a bit as it's shipping from HK... tbh as long as the batteries don't explode\warp I'm sure it will be ok.... when you think that Apple can charge £90 for a iPhone battery case, this is really a bargain...
I do really like the kickstand, the only time when you really need to use it is when you're likely going to be killing the battery.... Shame they don't have the Qi stuff built into the case... that would really be the ultimate as you wouldn't have the issue with the usb port being blocked....

It's unfortunate it doesn't offer more support and protection to the phone. It looks like the only thing holding the phone in is the USB connector. I wouldn't feel comfortable using it outdoors.
Also, I never believe any capacity claim that isn't from a reputable vendor. I would guess this case will give you maybe 50-60% more life on your G2. Still, I can see its usefulness for certain niche uses.
It seems that Mugen is preparing a 2800mAh Battery Case for all the LG G2 variants and is supposed to be shipping on January 31st:
