[Q] Samsung S3 mini - GT18190N - Galaxy S III Mini Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi...
is there any way i can move the apps to the SD card on the unroot GT-18190N???
i tried look around here but seem there is no topic talk about it...

in android 4.0+ , apps move to SD feature is not available....
inorder to do that your phone have rooted and also has custom recovery....
Swap SD cards - Flash with custom recovery. Switches the internal memory and external microSD cards between them to allow downloading of HD games and apps that need lots of space on the internal SD.

[Q] Running Apps from the SD Card?

So, now that we have Froyo we can move apps to the SD Card, I am guessing it means the External SD Card?
Should we use ROM Manager to Partition the Card so that we can do that or will the phone do it when we tell it to move the app to the SD card?
If we flash to a new ROM, and the APPs are on the SD Card are we like cool to go and have no need to back up APPs ever again?

All your apps will be installed to the 2GB partition on the internal SD card. No real need to move them to other partition or to an external card. This may be needed on other devices that do not have a internal SD card or ones that have a small nand chip etc but not really needed on the Tab.
Unless you have one of teh tabs that didnt come with 16GB of internal memory, then ofcourse nothing I said applies.
Would it make a difference in terms of speed / performance if I kept all 3rd party apps on the external sd card. The tab is 16gb.

Not really no. They are both SD cards. Remember the tab has a 16GB sd card installed internally, hidden under the casing, its not like phones where they have onboard memory in nand, with exception to windows phones, they too also have internal SD cards.
I suppose it depends on what brand/class they are. I'm sure somebody more technically minded about this particular subject will be able to answer better.
I personally keep all my files like apk's and documents etc on my external and reserve my internal for installed data, music, videos etc.
My situation is I have 8GB space on the internal. My music file which I am about to Sync is 8.5GB. I was looking at also putting my music on the external sd. Is there a quality difference (you have yours on the internal).
Also (hope you can help me on this one). When using Kies you have the option to add your music files to the Kies Library. Is\this simply going to copy my entire music library (8gb) to a new samsung folder on the pc and hence duplicate my music + waste space? Or am I missing something?

[Q] Apps 2zd help on 7"galaxy tab

I have a samsung galaxy tab rooted with overcome, jupiter edition. The galaxy Tab has internal memory, internal sd memory, and a slot for external micro sd card memory. My problem is with app2sd apps they always install to the internal sd memory (i assume because its named sd card even though it is internal). What program can I use like app2sd that will let me choose my external micro sd card (memory)?
Thanks for any help.
Addoni
P. S. I know that there are apps let let you backup to the external card bit i want to install apps to my micro sd. Not anything internal. My microsd is bigger than both internal.
Thanks again.

[Q] Apps on the external sd card

Does anyone knows how to move/install your apps on the EXTERNAL sd card? i've got lots of maps and extra games' data on my phone..and when i move them on the external sd card, they are not recognized..
Please help me and other users with the same problem!
Which version of Android are you using?
If you're on ICS then you just go to Systems Settings - Apps. Then you select the app you want to move and you select, "Move to SD card".
I've been on numerous ICS Roms and it's always worked, I'm not sure about GB anymore (I haven't used one for 7 months now )
You can use an app like app2sd, or try to do this manually, like Lord_santa say
I tried both methods but it moves the apps on the INTERNAL sd card..but i want to move them on the EXTERNAL sd card( minisd card that you attach to your phone)

I've rooted my I9305 but what should I do with my memory card?

Just a quick question. I've followed tutorials and I believe i've rooted the phone (EE UK S3LT3) I've got a 16GB memory card included. Do I need to partition/format the card so I can get things moved to the SD card as much as possible?

If it was included then it should be ready to go, you can store all kinds of media on your SD card but apps require a 3rd party application such as Titanium Backup to be moved to the SD card or you could install a mod that makes your phone think your SD card is your internal so all apps install there default

What mod would that be? (if you don't mind me asking)
Also I'll be more specific about my original post. I had the xperia play before. I folowed this tutorial for that:
http://www.xperiablog.net/2011/12/12/link2sd-guide-never-worry-about-internal-memory-limits-again/
That worked fine and everything moved to the SD card as far as I know. What I mean is should I format my card like that? I know it's not formatted or anything it's just sitting there full of space unused
The mod is called directory bind (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1889550)
It's needed if you want to move files to your SD. Unlike other phones, the s3 doesn't offer an option to move whatever you want to your Sd card. Formatting won't change anything. You have to use the above tool to trick your phone into thinking your extSD is the internal memory and vice versa.
There is no simple way of just moving all your data/apps to the SD card, unfortunately
I think i'm doing it with the mod now. I tried to move data with link2sd but that was a no no. That the only thing with this phone it's not easy to move things and what not.
