I've seen similar posts but they're quite outdated now, does anyone know if the HTC One 64GB edition is available to buy sim-free in the UK ? I want the HTC One but not the 32GB version and don't want to have to wait for a few months to get one, otherwise I might just end up getting the S4.
Anyone know of any sites or places doing the 64GB?
Cheers
As far as I know, the 64gb models is only avaliable in Asian countries for now. It could be months until it's avaliable for the rest of the world.
The HTC One is only available in Taiwan, I'm not sure anywhere else has it in Asia.
The S4 is only 16gb with 12gb useable. Also that 12gb is all the space available for installing apps and games. The memory card can't be used for apps.
I got the 32gb One and will buy a 64gb when out. But surprisingly I'm managing just fine with the 32gb.

Dear Matt,
Thank you for contacting HTC regarding the HTC One.
My name is Ciprian and I am a Technical Support Agent for the HTC Written Team.
Regarding your question, for the moment we do not have any information regarding the availability of this mode on 64 GB, and you may want to check our website for updates, or subscribe to our newsletter. Also, regarding the Developer edition phone, I wouldn't suggest you to buy it, because these phones aren't built for the public, they are only for developers, and the phone won't have certain features, or it will be optimized for debugging/development, even though if it's unbranded, it will work in the UK.
I appreciate your patience so far, I hope this answers your question, and if you have further questions, please do not hesitate to contact us again.
To let me know I have successfully answered your query, please follow the link below to close your enquiry, you will have the opportunity to leave feedback about your experience contacting me today.

Hi , I'm pretty sure this is some sort of scam but I thought i'd check with you guys first.
Seems just too good to be true , on the site eonline stores they are selling the htc one 64gb for £402
That seems crazy as the only other UK seller I can find are mobicity are and its £720 (which is a bit steep)
Heres the link :
eonline-store.com/en/194-new-htc-one-64gb.html#/color-white/disk_space-64gb
Thankyou for your time

Anyway I will keep everyone posted if it develops into a good source to buy one. Also I did a search on wholesale price of kaiser and came up with this website. Im sure its been discussed before but it this link below legit?

Just to clarify, this link does not represent my potential contact for htc devices. It was just something I found. Anyway I will be meeting with my customer and discuss him possibly supplying people here. Plus Ill see what kind of discounts there are.
It would be sweet if you could hook us up with his guy. Maybe he's able to get his hands on spare parts too.
First things first, you may or may not be aware of me.
I am the developer that brought VillainROM to the HTC Hero. A Sense UI 2.1 rom, that I've been working on since January (click my link for info).
Anyway, two or three Tattoo owners have contacted me recently to ask if I'll create a rom for you guys.
Well, the good news is, I have decided that my future donations are going on a HTC Tattoo, so that I can help out this community.
The purpose of my post, is that I am looking for a Tattoo, and if any of you know of anyone that's selling one, I'm looking to buy one as cheaply as possible.
I don't care if it has a cracked screen, and the case is scratched to bits... as long as it all works. I will not be using it as my daily phone, I just want to get a rom out there for all the Tattoo users.
Anyway, I have £52 in donations right now, and I think I can buy one from ebay for £130, so I'm a fair way away. If anyone knows of anyone selling one cheap, regardless of condition... please PM me.
Thank you in advance.
Nice News for all Tattoo User.
Thanks in advance.
All the Best.
wow great news. going to get a credit card and donate some bucks
it'll be great to have 2.x

Good idea. I've added you to my twitter, so I'll let you know if there's any worth mentioning.
I got mine from the UK for about 160GBP, it was supposedly locked to Vodafone UK but I flashed the RUU ROM onto it and volia, no more Vodafone branding. My australina optus SIM worked fine too!
Gotta love GBP and the exchange rate...
Hi; Vivid fans
I am looking at buying a new phone i am currently using my Samsung Infuse.
I have have been reading your forum for a couple of days no and i have a couple of questions. I am leaning towards the Vivid
Now that the phone can be unlocked can the Raider Roms be used on the AT&T phones?
Do you think now that the phone can be unlocked will there be more Devs,Roms and just over all action in the Forum?
I like my Infuse but I have all ways been a fan of HTC and would like to come back over.
Thank You,

Unlock just happened, so its hard to tell. But before unlock there were a few devs saying they would make ROMs once it got unlocked.

I for one have been waiting for this to happen. I knew it was a matter of time, but the real issue was with how long. I can finally retire my N1 and may just run over to the AT&T store to pick one up tonight.
There was alot of angst going on here on these forums over the lack of a proper root, but now with hboot now being open it's become a viable platform again.
Once I have one in hand, may end up posting my N1 up for sale on the forums to keep the old but still free Android flagship flying.
You should also take into consideration that this is a Sense-based phone so you're bound to have many potential devs looking for a new platform to bring their roms from other devices to the first ATT LTE HTC phone. I mean Desire HD has a ton of devs that could really take off with the Holiday/Raider/Vivid.

I think and also hope you are right.
It would be good to see more join in on this forum.
I emailed HTC and Virgin Mobile Canada the other day, and they said this,
"Thank you for taking the time to reply. We currently do not have the information available to us. At this time the Incredible S's that are slated to receive the ICS update are the ones in the European regions. You may visit htc.com, twitter.com/htc and facebook.com/htc for update information as it becomes announced."
Virgin Mobile said this,
"You've reached ****** with Virgin Mobile! First, allow me to apologize for the delay in my response. Your patience and understanding are appreciated. I'm happy to escalate your feedback about the Android 4.0 update. I know this is important to you and I'm happy to point you in the right direction.
******, I've escalated your email to ensure it's reviewed. Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback." This could mean that we
IncS users might see an Android 4.0 update! Virgin Mobile is BAD for updating their phones, but as you may already know, HTC has been working their hardest to work with carriers, and as VMC's update stated that they are happy to point me/us in the right direction, and will escalate it to ensure its reviewed!
Edit!: I emailed Virgin again, and they said that they are working very hard to get this update available! NOW im excited!

Good to hear. I'm with SaskTel which is in a similar vain, and even though I'm installing custom ICS ROMs anyways, it would be nice to see everyone get the update and move to ICS.
Though then, I'd have to stop joking that I'm in the 1%.
I rooted once, but i had to send my phone to get fixed, because it had a charge port malfunction, and they charged $200 to fix it because of the root access, so i am running all stock, which is why i am excited for VM to work out something with HTC

Question:
hi guys, i am a resident of India and i recently got a HTC one from USA(CA), my brother sent it.Now, i do not possess any receipt/bill, how can i know if i can avail warranty in India(if there's any in the first place)?
Reason:
I want to know because, if i dont have warranty i would want to root it now, but if i do have, i would want to use it for couple of months to confirm that there are no manufacturer defects and then root.
Side note:
i did check some online resources but no luck. I even mailed HTC support but no reply, yet.
Off topic:
is there any facebook/google+ group for xda-forum/htcone?
(i am coming from htc pico device and we have an active FB group, it is useful and fun)
Thanks!
No warranty in India for handset purchased abroad. There are some G+ community an FB groups for one. Check general forum. Also check Indian discussion thread in general forums. Lots of useful info there. Good luck
