Dolphin has this feature. If you turn private browsing on, it stays on till you choose otherwise. And, it has a higher rating on play. I have never tried chrome.
But if you are not willing to compromise on chrome, I dunno
My Device : Rooted GT-I9070
ROM - 4.1.2 Stock I9070DDULP8
Kernel - CoCore-E-5.0
Recovery - TWRP
It does, but chrome is quicker than dolphin, hence why I'm now using it.
This is just my doubt .Then why does chrome have a lower rating?

Ratings mean next to nothing. All it takes is a few noobs to not know how to do something and they'll immediately put 1 star on stuff.

I find that when searching through Google Encrypted Search in private browsing, my search history is saved, even if I choose settings for deleting all data automatically after exit or if I delete all data manually from the settings. This is true for Maxthon private browsing, too. So far I find only incognito mode in Chrome and Full Screen Private Browsing prevent search history from being recorded by search engines. I'm not pervy, I just don't trust "private browsing" that leaves cookie trails.
Always incognito I am getting a feeling you watch a lot of porn
It's my phone and nobody else uses it, so that wouldn't be a problem. The app however gets filled up with previously viewed sites, eventually getting messy and cluttered. You then have to manually delete it all. Incognito mode doesn't keep a history so this doesn't happen.

If you use IE, get a real browser.
This is one of the features in 2.2 that I've been really excited for.

so I installed it from the market on my phone, followed all the instructions and set it up, then downloaded the extension on my computer, but it isnt working for some reason..
You can use the Chrome to iPhone tool on Android if you manually make a bookmark. I'm going to make a How To video showing how when I get time.

I assume you opened it on the phone and configured it with your google account?

yes it does, and I have froyo. It was something to do with my wifi for some reason. As soon as I turned off my wifi and sent a link it was instant. Don't know why but my wifi was borking it up. Works great now, except for on wifi
Whenever I send a link from either Google Chrome or Firefox I feel my phone vibrate and then I get a Force Close. Don't know what is causing it. Tried on both 3G and Wifi.
I *love* Chrome to Phone; any time a youtube video pops up, I just c2p it and watch it on my Captivate while still keeping an eye on the screen. Little things like that which make 2.2 totally worth it for me.
Wasn't there a reverse to this? I have been doing this for quite a while with a QR code extension on chrome, but I've been really missing a way to send phone pages to chrome.
Great app. Runs smoothly on 2.2!

Hey there,
My HTC Desire had the option where I could turn off Mobile View and get the pages shown just like I would had I sat at home from my PC. But is that option not available on the 2x? . I generally detest using mobil view and prefer the full on view at any given time.
But so far I am at a loss in regards to finding that setting on the LG Optimus 2x, considering its not a browser setting that I can select or change. But has anyone stumbled over this and found a working solution?
You should be able to do this with hidden menu, and or with another browser.

If you write about:debug in the address bar, press go, and then go to the browser settings, the UAstring option should now be available.

I tried that one and it didn't work. Some mobile sites still threw me to their mobile view edition when I used that. But apparently using HiddenMenu and setting it to Mozilla changed the issue entirely
Correction,
Neither HiddenMenu NOR about:debug will allow me to view sites like Engadget in their normal editions, but forces their mobile view on me with no way to change
And Mozilla for Android still throws me to the same site.
Use Dolphin HD.
If its another browser then I am not really interested :/. I would prefer a solution that works with the native android browser. HTC could make such a setting which WORKED. Im baffled why LG opted to keep that setting out.

I totally agree with out. However, using another browser is the fastest solution right now.
Setting the user agent to desktop in the standard browser using about:debug should work but does not always as you experienced.
I just don't see how it will work in another browser when both the Native one, as well as Mozilla Firefox web both fails with a bang?

Doesn't work either, even if different UaStrings set through its settings . WHY oh LG WHY have you messed it up so that we can't watch webpages like we can do at home instead of being forced to watch mobile view >_<
So far the only solution is to basically visit the sites, and try to find the "link" on site to change it from mobile view to regular view and hope its saved in a cookie so it keeps the setting :/

Read my post thank you!!.
As previously stated I have already tried installing Dolphin as well as Firefox. Tried every sodding profile there was, Android, iPhone, Desktop etc and NONE of these made Mobile view vanish.
Even tried about:debug as well as HiddenMenu and those don't do the trick for me either.
The ONLY thing that seems to work is going to the sites and manually clicking that I want the regular site. But then its not the browser doing anything, its cookies that does the talking which somewhat defeats the purpose. I mean on my HTC it was a simple checkmark I had to remove and it just worked. On my LG it seems like its an insurmountable feat to actually get regular PC view and get rid of mobile view the "right way"

I cant's say I disagree with that. It makes no sense to be honest, ie why it wont work on some LG's and how HTC has been able to make a "switch" for it that actually works and doesn't require you to do the cookie route.
yeap,
I've test too and Mobile View can't is disabled but some website check is the visitor send WAP information, and with the debug mode, some WAP information from the Browser are sended...
I chatted with LG Support Germany 5 minutes ago and asked about this issue and the supporter confirmed this problem and there's no general workaround right now but the issue is know and already reported...as he said.

Good news
how to enable secret mode browser 4.0 with fingerprint? the same as in pictures..
Secret Mode
The Samsung Internet 4.0 now offers a Secret mode, so users can use the Internet freely without leaving behind a trail of information—no browsing history, cookies, passwords, auto-fill data or anything else.
Secret mode works with fingerprint authentication, ensuring only the proper user is able to look at sensitive data, even when in protected mode.
Samsung Internet can also let users store bookmarks and save pages while in Secret mode, but in a separate space protected by Samsung’s industry-leading security solution.

If you want private browsing I highly recommend using Chrome. The cross device syncing is great, obviously, and it does have your standard incognito mode. If you want a higher level of privacy then try InBrowser. Everything you do in a session is completely gone the moment you exit out and my favorite feature is that it does not ever show up in recent apps. If you have to close it quickly just hit the home button, if someone then picks it up and goes to recents to see what you were doing, they won't see anything at all. It also has TOR support. - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=nu.tommie.inbrowser
Just use My Knox. Its really secure and powerful, it has its own eco-system and even allows u to duplicate apps like Facebook and whatsapp with 2 different accounts on the same phone. If you are using the Browser in Knox and download pictures for example, they are automatically secure in the knox partition. Its the best of the best.

Hi there,
I've been using this Via browser on my phones. It's my favorite android browser with excellent interface and speed. In case you haven't heard it, here is the link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=mark.via.gp
In the setting menu, there's an item of "Scripts" and something under it already.
Can someone explain to me what that script does?
Thank you.

Just tried it. Pretty good. :good:
Need some time to get familiar with the UI and find a way to import bookmark, though.
I saw ads on the OH Web browser just now and realize the 7 days free trial is over.
How annoying are those ads ! But I don't want to pay for a browser.
For dark mode, I go back to chrome (with flags enable it). For ad-free quick searching/browsing, I still like Via.
Is it possible to write a script to enable dark mode in Via?

I'm getting annoyed by these notification popups in the Samsung browser. Is there a way to turn these off?
I'm talking about these:
>Settings>Sites and downloads>Notifications> Allow or block sites is turned off
Is there a way to stop these popups completely without having to make a blocklist?
Like on IOS you can turn it off and you wont ever get notified by any site.
The only way I know how is to goto the Google Play store and download the Google Chrome app.
