hellppppppppmeeeee!!!!! not me on the phone, the screen stays black, dimly lit, did hard reset with the three buttons, push recovery, I get the android with the exclamation but then when I press vol up + down does nothing for me, never leave me blue lettering with black background, try pressing the button factory and does nothing, still black screen ... dont know what else to do, tried every key and nothing convinations ... I'm about to pull the cell to Toilet
I have had trouble accessing stock recovery on my phone too. You just have to keep pressing in between the volume up and volume down button and try to do this perfectly. Just keep pressing till you get recovery.

If you follow this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2231249 you should be golden. The hardest parts are getting the phone into fastboot (power off, then hold vol up and vol down then hit power, scroll to fastboot with vol down then press vol up) and changing the XML file so it doesn't throw an error.

Need a little help. I tried to get into fast boot recovery (volume down and power button) to flash 5.9.901. I selected the wrong option in the main menu. I selected fastboot flash mode or flash mode. Cannot remember now.
After selecting flash mode, at the top, it reads, "AP Fastboot Flash Mode (S)". Down in the middle left side of the screen it reads "battery okay connect data cable". But I could not get back to the main menu. I hit the power button again and the phone powered down. Then I went into fastboot again with power and volume, but it took me directly to the AP screen. Not the main menu.
This time, I could not get out of it by powering down. So I pulled the battery, reinstalled the battery, and my phone booted fine for normal power up. I powered down again, went into fast boot again, but it brings back to the same AP Fastboot Flash Mode (S) screen.
I am doing something wrong, here.
How do I get back to the main menu in fastboot.
Also, in between all of this I booted into Bionic Bootstrapper and noticed there are two options: "Apply update from SD card" and "Install ZIP from SD card". Can I install 5.9.901 using one of these options in Bootstrapper?
I would like to fix my fastboot problem first. Probably something I am not doing due to my inexperience.
Thank you,
Tony

Hey guys,
due to being fed up with Sense I installed the latest CM10.1 nightly build for the HTC ONE with clockworkmodtouch recovery and now my phone seems to be bricked.
I pushed the rom on the device via adb sideload which went without a problem. Then I rebooted without wiping everything, which I simply forgot (I know...). Then the CM logo animation started and didn't stop until the battery was fully drained. After charging the battery and starting the phone, it goes to the HTC logo with the red warning text, and then directly to the CM logo again. I can't get into the bootloader via power+vol up or power+vol down, and once the phone is running I can't even hardware reset it via those keys. The soft keys' illumination just starts blinking.
Maybe someone has had a similar problem and can point me in the right direction. I can't access the phone via adb btw.
TL;DR:
Installed CM10.1 with cwmt recovery via adb sideload
Forgot to wipe everything before rebooting
Phone stuck in CM start animation
Hardware keys don't seem to do anything (soft keys blink), even if I hold them for over a minute
adb devices or anything like that doesn't work
Any help would be appreciated

are you sure your holding down the power button for long enough? the softkeys will blink until the phone has reset itself. takes around 10-15 seconds.

if you can get to the cm logo you should be able to plug the phone in and reboot to recovery with adb
adb reboot recovery.

How can I get into recovery if the hardware buttons don't seem work (except to turn the phone on)?
That happened to me flashing a ROM. I went into recovery and wiped cache and davlik. Then it just takes time finding the right restore.

Fastboot erase cache
from computer command prompt then
Fastboot reboot recovery

Like I said in my OP, I'm not able to enter recovery. If I press power+vol up for a minute or so, the phone boots AFTER I let go of the buttons. Then it goes to the HTC logo, 5 secs later to the animated CM logo, which will rotate until the battery is dead.

Alright, I got into the bootloader now! A big thanks. I feel like an idiot. The problem was that I let go of both the buttons simultaneously, like it says in almost every tutorial. Now that I kept the vol down button pressed it worked. Thanks man.
I don't understand how you can get to the loading screen but not the recovery. That sounds strange. I've been stuck in a boot loop before. I took my battery out, put it in, held the buttons, then it should work fine. I can't understand how it won't go into recovery unless you really messed up.

Idk if it's the same for all phones, but when you go to recovery or the new ROM menu, it has little blue writing on the top left that says where you are going. I.e… recovery

the blue letters are a samsung thing and its hard to do a battery pull on this phone
My phone is stuck in a bootloop, it cannot get past the initial HTC screen, every third time it tries to boot into recovery (CWM) but that only flashes up for less than a second before it goes back to a black screen.
I have been trying to get it to boot into bootloader so i can reflash the recovery but holding Power and Volume Up (and just holding Volume Up) doesn't seem to do it. It's worth noting that whenever I have tried to reboot the phone by just holding the Power button it does not work, the lights just blink forever.
I have also tried running the adb reboot-bootloader command continuously (as quick as my fingers will let me press up and enter) and I can't seem to catch it there.
The phone won't even stay off, it just keeps trying to boot.
Do you have any ideas of things I can try? At the moment I can only think to let the battery run out but it was well charged and has been on USB for a while. I do need this phone to work.
Thanks in advance.
Edit:
The problem occured when I tried reinstalling Android Revolution HD 10.2, I had done this earlier today but wanted to change one of the options in Aroma. Aroma crashed very near the end and the phone went into Recovery, I had some warning but I picked up my phone with the power button so I didn't read it properly.
You enter the bootloader by holding Power and Volume Down (not up).
Try to get into the recovery through the bootloader and restore your nandroid before trying to flash ARHD 10.2 again.
Thanks, I guess I panicked as I should have been asleep. All I had to do was go into fastboot and clear my cache with fastboot (command: fastboot clear cache) and go straight into Recovery and Recovery worked again for any people who encounter this problem.
I experience a similar problem with my HTC One. It recently powered off and I can't start it up again, it's just a black screen and it doesn't react when pressing the power button.
When I plug it into the charger (into a socket or to the computer) it starts booting after a short while. It vibrates, the HTC "quietly brilliant" logo shows up, but then it just goes black again. A few seconds pass and it does the same thing again. Over and over.
I manage to use the Volume Down to get into the HBOOT-screen and there I have 6 choices; Fastboot, Recovery, Factory Reset, Simlock, Image Crc and Show Barcode. I read that I can go into fastboot and clear cache and it might work but I cant even get into fastboot. When I try to press any buttons it doesn't react. If I constantly press volume up or down it sometimes moves the marker, but it seems that it is "pressing" the power button all the time, because when I move it reacts directly to that menu choice. And of course, it shuts itself down after only a second.
It's a stock HTC One, nothing done with it. Recently made a factory reset because the phone locked itself.
What can I do?
EDIT: I had to return it to the store I bought it from, and they sent it on repair to Poland (where HTC apparently has their european base) and they changed the battery. Got it back after 2 weeks and it works fine again!

I have the same problem as you right now but I still can't access recovery I go into hboot and clear the cache with fastboot (fastboot erase cache) but I still can't access recovery, everytime I go on it, it say's "entering recovery..." and the screen goes blank then it goes into boot loop again. Is there any help you can give me to fix this problem? This is my first android phone and I'm really scared that I screwed it up for good.

What if the PC won't recognize the phone while in fastboot? I'm on win 8.1 64. Uninstalled and reinstalled HTC drivers. All I get is a prompt that the device is not recognized. If I try 'fastboot erase cache', it jsut sits there, saying 'waiting for device'. I get nothing listed when I run 'fastboot devices'. Any ideas?

you just need to install HTC sync and it will install drivers for you , later uninstall the htc sync only nor drivers. second try windows 7 or 8 but 32bit version , all drivers will work perfectly. hope it will work.

Hello, I recently had the xposed framework on my rooted (but on stock rom) HTC one. I removed the framework, but when I restarted my phone, it got stuck at the logo screen and will not enter recovery from power + vol down, nor restart. What can I do to break out of this? It is not a cycle where the phone keeps booting, rather in just stays in one state.
Thanks in advance.

However, it still freezes when i reboot. What do you suggest? Reflash the stock rom? I've read some thread that say an "erase cache" via ADB is necessary?

The very same thing happened to me today, holding down both power and volume down button does force the phone to reboot, try count the number of flashes back and home make, let go both power and down after counting to 10 or 12, then you should see a black screen and phone reboot. I kept both button pressed for 1 min but nothing happened, so I thought timing may help.
