[Q] rocket reloaded - Galaxy Note GT-N7000 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I've flashed eyebee's excellent ROM, really chuffed to have his rocket ROMs back.
Only issue is I also flashed his theme, and I am really not getting on with the colours
Will it take a re-flash of the same ROM or v2 to change back to a more conservative theme?

if you reflash the same rom, you will get back to the original theme. do a nandroid backup before flashing anything. this way you can go back if not working or not liking

Going back to original stock theme.

Never been a fan of theme's but the Enoch 1.3 caught my eye.
I made a Nandroid backup of my perfect current state of my phone with the stock theme, etc. If I ever wanted to go back to my stock theme, etc I'd just run Nandroid restore? Or is there an easier way to switch back and forth?

Either that or you can reflash the rom without wiping.

Reverting to stock Cyanogen theme

Alright I have spent plenty of time looking and have come across nothing. How do you revert back to the theme that original came with the Cyanogen mod?
You can flash the rom again. If you've flashed one of my themes, I usually include a template for the rom version you flashed for, meaning you can go back to original images that I replace with my theme.
I specify my themes because some themes change more than the open source images, and flashing my templates over them might not get you back to original, especially if they have themed google apps (gmail, youtube, market etc that are not included in the roms)
You'd have to do a complete reflash then, from htc1.6 base then rom.
If you are using cyanogen, you might have to install dev image, then cyanogen rom. I had to do that recently due to the fact that the theme changed more then it should've. If that still doesn't work, wipe, reflash all over again. Hope this helps...

After Cyanogen 4.2.7.1, I should install dev image, then Cyanogen rom.
If not, I always loose Market, Maps and Google Talks.
You could always make a nandroid backup before you apply a theme, then if you don't like it you can just restore your nandroid backup.

Restoring stock rom

Hi really not getting on with this and want shot of it basically, I want to restore it to stock I did make a nandroid back up of the stock rom but it fails all the time saying md5 checksum error.
How can I get this to work and restore it back or load the stock rom as I can't really sell it with a custom rom installed.
Check out Pauls recovery stock ROM. I used it after bricking my phone trying to load a custom ROM and it worked great.
Cheers!
That worked a treat thanks I was brown pants for a moment as it was just flashing on the LG logo but soon as I put the battery in it was fine.
The funny thing is I actually find it smoother than the rom that it came with.

[Q] Can you re-flash stock ROM to Optimus Black?

Good day fellow OB owners!
Since this is my first android phone, I'm hesitant to flash a new ROM (I don't know how to flash either). So, when I saw the NOVA ROM, I wanted to try flashing a custom ROM, but I'm still undecided. Is it possible to get stock ROM if ever I failed flashing NOVA or can I change back to stock if I'm successful on flashing?
Now I have installed Noejn's Nova Recovery. Please don't bite
Yes, it's easy: instruction how to.
Check here for newest firmware.
Just don't rush it and everything will be ok.
Hello, I bricked my phone. Can I re-flash my stock ROM? And how?, since I'm stuck in a black screen, cant get to recovery

Slower over time until I flash stock ROM

A few weeks/months after installing a ROM it starts to get slower over time. The only way I've found to fix it is going back to stock ROM and then back to a custom ROM. It happened with different ROMs.
Any idea of why this could happen or how I can fix it?
I'm thinking it may be related to some partition, because even a clean flash doesn't work. And I have to go back to stock ROM before flashing a new ROM.
My previous ROM was Pixel2ROM. Current Pixel Experience. I had to go back to stock before flashing this.
Could you help me? Any idea why is this happening?
