i bought a telcel mexico LG-P970H on ebay and i want to unlock it. i have the code to unlock the phone but i need LG code (like 2945#*970#) to have a popup to enter my unlock code.
for LG-P970 the code is 2945#*970# but that not work for P970H

this code show me the hidden menu but i can't find the unlock SIM item
I had the same problem
It looks like the rom used by telcel is modified and they remove some options, in my case, i rooted the phone and replace the rom for the open europe version, after that, the hidden menu appears with all the normal options and i was able to unlockit with the imei code.

The code is specific for each IMEI and to make it more fun you have very limited number of tries. After that it locks permanently. So it is worth getting the code from reputable reseller.
I had to flash from CM back to stock 10d to get hidden menu and unlock.

I've found a way to show the hidden menu
I've first rooted and changed the telcel ROM with another one following this steps:
enmimurodigital.blogspot.mx/2012/02/android-234-gingerbread-root-en-lg_06.html (in spanish)
Then I dialed 2945#*970# and an hidden menu appeared. From there I selected "Network Lock" and here it is where you have to fill with an unlock code.
Now I'm looking for a good website where to buy the unlock code
so, i deleted some stock apps when i first got the phone,like lg apps, and some others, so my phone doesnt have nfc anymore, i am considering selling it soon, and need to get all the apps back. what/how do i do it?

OK, Pt-Pt is fine, root is priority. I'm about to buy this phone and I'm researching about rooting, cwm, jb, cm10 and so on... If Pt-Pt is possible so En-Us is too, right?

The euro_open have also US and UK English.

Didn't understood... V10G have Pt-Br? since when?
Latest Brazilian firmware is V10C...
If you're using V10G euro_open you can upgrade to V10H...
To have pt-br people can use Swift Key 3 and choose it on settings.
Only UI will remains in pt-pt.

Yeah, I do have a coby tablet that doesn't have pt, only en. I intalled morelocale2 and set it to pt_BR line you say and it is working just fine.

if you dont want to root your phone, and want a stable fw, try Indian [DDULP8] or Russiaan/Serbian [L4/LB]

It is stable, I have used it. Try lqb or ddulp8 ..
jb is not stable...
try CoCore & LightJB
this is the best combination
(4 weeks, 0 restarts, no lags, fast...)

Latest most stable is either xxlqe or xxlqg (from people's opinion). Just try first and see how it goes then you'll know instead of saying everything isn't stable and not trying.

The Indian firmware and Italian firmware the best ones so far... Even the ones from Russia are very good.. and by the way I am using DULP8 - which is the Indian version.. just install it, root it and flash CoCore E kernel.. you will notice the improvements in your phone's performance... :good::good:
And yes, Turkish language is there... in my Settings > Languages and Input> I found "Türkçe"... and I believe this is Turkish Language

This happened with the first ICS update as well, at least in Hungary with T-Mobile But since then we always get the new fw one week later

There is a way to root the 4.3 with the bl. But if u were saying about 1 click root it still doesn't exist.

There are few thread mentioning about pre-rooted. U guys should try that. At least it is safe for locked bootloader.
