the z will be released in the us this month, so just wait a bit and you might get lte as well as 3g on att.

There is a page on Sony Developer World named "LTE™ coverage for Xperia™ smartphones", and it appears to clarify LTE bands on the Xperia Z base model.
I can't post the link to the page, because I have less than ten posts.
I don't Care about lte. I just don't want edge lol. Hspa is good enough for me. Also I found an Xperia z for 640 shipped USD. Which I would end up paying 699+ a ton ofbtax from att. So I jusy listed my note 2 For sale online so I guess Il stick to this x10 for a little. I'm just tired of Samsung I guess I'm bored with there design and touchwiz.

[Q] How to check which model works for which carrier

Hi right now im saving money for the Xperia z but, really need to know about cell phone frequency. Im trying to pick one for T-mobile in Los angeles, and having trouble which model would work on T-mobile 4g network. If someone can explain how to check which frequency will work on which network it would be really helpful.

Xperia Z in the US

Stupid question:
I have a UK Xperia Z on O2 and am due to move to the US at the end of the year. I'll need to get a contract with a US carrier of course, but my question is whether my UK Xperia Z will work with a US carrier? As said it might be a daft question but I wasn't sure and I dont want to find out when I'm sitting in a hotel in New York wondering why my phone doesn't work.
Won't you get a new phone with a new contract?

Yes it will work. I believe on att as far as hspa+ and T-Mobile edge. I'm 90% sure as I have had a few carrier locked international phones that were completely unlocked once over here in the states. So I don't see why this would be any difference.
You won't be able to get LTE (4G) in some regions with AT&T since they use 2 different LTE bands which one is not compatible with the Z.

What version of the Z do you have? C660?

Sorry, I remembered wrong. It's 3G I was talking about. I was in Arizona 1,5 month ago and had no 3G using Red Pocket who uses AT&T network. My fiancee has Xperia P and had 3G using same network.

The smartest move is to sell it in the UK and buy a new phone in the US. The Xperia Z you have is not compatible with US LTE bands and probably not with T-Mobile's AWS 3G+.

[Q] Xperia Z1 C6903 bought in Europe, data doesn't work in Canada

Hi everyone,
I bought my Z1 in France and now that I am in Canada, I can't have my data working (no 4g/3g/E).
I was told that the Xperia Z1 was working both in Europe and N.America, so I wonder if you have any solutions for me ?
Here are some specs :
Model : C6903
Android 4.4.4
Build : 14.4.A.0.157
Baseband : 8974-AAAAANAZQ-10270054-61
Not rooted
Currently in Québec with Virgin Mobile
When I choose my provider in the settings i can see 3G - VIRGIN and 4G - VIRGIN, does that means my cellphone can see there is data but VIRGIN didn't allow me access ?
I switched my plan yesterday night so maybe it takes time, I just imagined it was a quick process.
Thanks for your time, folks!

I don't have a Z1 but I followed you over from the Z forums.
You'll need to make sure you're network-unlocked first. Are you? I'm guessing you are if you can still send/receive phone calls on Virgin.
I just moved my Z from Bell to Wind and also had the same issue with no data. I had to manually enter the APN info and after a reboot cell data is back.

Worth a shot!
