tried various apps from play store both paid and free ,non worked for me .someone told me to try fiddling with kernels (tried both stock roms and CM roms with all there respective kernels)that also dnt help.
all i got is "it dosent support your device" or it will just record my voice during conversation .
IS THERE AN APP FOR SGA(gt-5830) THAT CAN REALLY RECORD CONVERSATION (record calls) OF BOTH PARTIES.
plz let me know if there is such kind of app or any permutation/combination i need to do .
Hi aniket_dust!
I don't use this type of apps so my help will be so limited.
Just in case, I've found this user review in the market "Samsung Galaxy Ace with version 4.50.846: awsome, its really working but callers voice is too low.."
the program is Record My Call by Nathaniel Kh.
Good luck!

Perhaps you could have a look at this thread (Best call recorder?), it's not for ACE, though.
Good luck!

I am using it since november with no major problems...(status bar won't slide down sometimes).. There is no option for video call, but I am pleased just with voice call.. If you need video call , search market for "tango video calls"

My info (tab) > Status > Sign out. Then exist the client by pressing back button. This option has been there for quite a while now.

Does anyone know how to modify the OS to report that the phones one of the very poor selection the lazy people at skype could be bothered to make it work with?
Or would it require a mod to the app itself (same question who knows how to do this?)
Thanks in advance
Maybe modifying the build.prop? Just a guess!

Yep. Can confirm. Crashes a couple of seconds after you hit Sign in.
The problem is that the contained native code .so's seem to contain NEON instructions which the Tegra 2 can't execute.

If everyone took that attitude, XDA forums and the like wouldn't exist because we'd all be sat waiting for HTC / LG / Skype etc to update software...
These forums exist because the developer community can usually make things work better than the software vendors or before the software vendors.
This has already been hacked to work on the Galaxy S and S2.......

I have the Samsung Galaxy Note, the TMobile SGH-T879. I have not found an application and/or ROM combination that will allow me to record telephone calls without using speakerphone.
To be clear, I want to record both sides of a conversation on all incoming and outgoing calls without having to use speakerphone.
Has anyone here been able to do this on this particular phone? If so, exactly what did/do you use?
Call recorder app by skvalex. It works straight out the box using cm10 but if you are on a touch wiz rom you must first change the system to r/w before installing. Only downside is it is 10 dollars but is perfect and does exactly what you are asking for. You also need to be rooted.

Thanks tremendously for your kind help.
I've been able to get nothing to work on a rooted but otherwise stock SGH-T879, which is supposedly different from the i717.

New (side-effect) problem from this ROM
It records calls just fine; but, a new problem has presented itself. The phone will no longer block calls in any call blocking program's blocked list. I have tried six call blocking programs, one of which worked before the custom ROM.
Does anyone have a suggestion for me?
