Installed working as it should. It detects voltage, fast charge option, mpdecision, soc thorttle and other features. Very good keep up the good work.
Also put in name of thread date of last app update (beta because for now only beta supports xperia z).
Thanks.

Sweet!! - Happy to see this reach the XZ.
Works like a charm over here. Good work!

can i overclock my xperia z with this and remove the thermal throttling?

Working great so far
@fer2503 Download the app and give it a try
And yes, you can, providing you have a required kernel flashed installed to allow these changes...DooMKernel

I think you guys gotta thanks Sony for making the Z so much like the N4, bringing in support for the Z was really easy for us thanks to this.

Stable release has been pushed to Play Store and will be available to you shortly. I also added support for the ZL as it's practically the same device.

I pushed out another beta that adds 533 frequency for DoomKernel. For now MP-Decision will override this and CPU frequency settings, but I believe that is a problem that should be taken care of inside the kernel (e.g. stuffs like this on the N4 is fixed). There's an alternative from the app side by periodical rewriting the settings but it might get in the way of a lot of other stuffs so I don't want to do that.
Join the beta by going to our g+ page, join the community and opt-in with link there.

As you guys didn't say anything, I suppose it works (533MHz GPU freq on DoomKernel) and promoted the beta to stable status.

We're going to close individual device thread to consolidate our app thread into one at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=28659480 , please go there if you need to discuss anything related to our app.

This is stock UVKB5 2.2.1 ported from Vibrant 4G.
- Deodexed and Zipalign
- TouchWiz with no bloat
- Rooted
- Modded framework with SD fix
- Init.d optimization
- EDT GPS Fix
- KB1 Modem
- Stock Kernel based on KA6 source with Voodoo lagfix, sound v7, and BLN (No OC and No UV)

Update:
- DriveSmart is now working
NOTE: Just like any other ROM, flash it using CWM. This ROM also support any Voodoo enabled kernel. Also remember, this ROM will still show 4G connection even though as you should know, your vibrant phone doesn't support 4G. I'll fix that later on.
Other that those listed above, this ROM is pretty much stock. Perfect starting point for devs and themers.

Got it. Any significant changes? Would think not if we aren't using the modem or kernel. Just wondering before I flash it.
How is it running so far? Pretty good? Will check this out in a little bit.
What have you done to services.jar? Is android-policy untouched? Settings.apk? Would you say the recompiling went perfect so the framework shouldn't throw any errors when decompiled/recompiled? Will UOT accept the framework as is? Did you include the new pink boot animation? <- Just curious on these.
Also, did you leave drivesmart in when you removed the bloat?
EDIT - Dang, I HATE people to post 900 questions in my thread that could be answered by downloading the rom - sorry!
My observations:
1. I like it but when we posted this in the past, people complained about the auto sync - MobileBackup-3.0.19.04-signed-aligned.apk - they didn't want it in there and there is no way to turn it off once the rom is flashed.
2. People are going to complain about the decade long media scanning that has been common with the V4G releases - this can be easily fixed though.
3. A request - Can you please post the drivesmart apps? It is still in settings but causes a force close because the app isn't there.
4. You might get with krylon one more time - it looks like the menu button may still be making a call to the launcher, causing menu lag - I thought he found a fix for this but I don't know for sure.
5. This does not appear to be using whitehawkx's sdcard fix - you might want to contact him.
6. People ARE going to LIKE the non-blurry mms! But there is a weird bug where you can not attach a photo straight from mms if you try to take the picture from mms. You can take the picture from the camera app and then use share though.
Finally - Great Job. I know this post looks like nothing but negative critiques but I assure you your contribution is appreciated!

lol too funny. all good questions none the less. about to start decompiling and digging around myself.
If you don't mind, I'm going to rip this apart and make the changes that I think it needs because this contains 1 very important and highly requested feature that the I9000 roms lack.
Do you have a link to un-modded kb5 so I can pull the drivesmart and bloat out of it?

I've been using it for several days and I like it, very smooth. The only part I touched was framework and services to fix SD mount point .. which was based on Eugene's SD. The new boot animation is still there ... I didn't remove it but I did removed shutdown animation, I can provide that if you want. UOT also work, at least with battery icon ... haven't test the other
As for drive smart, I don't remember removing drive smart but I can check that when I get home

[WIDGET] Prepay Widget - needs testers!

Hello everyone! I am the developer of Prepay Widget, a simple but powerful app that allows you to monitor your cell account balance through USSD requests.
You can find more info about USSD on Wikipedia, but basically these are short, SMS-like messages used by most GSM and some CDMA providers to deliver information
or control account services. The actual information comes to you in the form of popup toasts, which thids app hides and parses into widgets.
You can find the apps landing page on XDA at the following thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=12348102
However, i want to stress that its important that we get some device-specific feedback, so please post in this thread if you have issues,
this helps me keep track of bugs and requests better.
You can use the Lite version of the app - it has all the functionality of the full version apart from automatic updates (not really that important imo).
As I haven't got one of these phones in my pocket, I need some testers to track down problems. Please, use this thread to comment or
suggest features. It is my belief that addressing issues is best done individually by phone, so if something doesn't work, let me know and I will fix it ASAP.
Market link:
https://market.android.com/details?id=fahrbot.apps.ussd.widget.lite
Debugging:
Please use the "Write to developer" item in the Settings menu to send logs. Enable debugging, reproduce your error and then send the logs.
Make sure you include a description - the more detailed the description the better.
Screens:
Have things been fixed in 1.1.5?
1.1.7
- Balance sheet shortcuts reworked
1.1.6
- Fixed dual SIM issues again
try it at once,thanks guy.
Wow, somebody interested in prepay widget! How incredible (no pun inteneded)...
Latest builds are very stable for me!
Glad to know. Dont be afraid to write with issues or suggestions, they are always welcome!
Any issues?
I'd like to test your app. Does it have any carrier restrictions? My mobile network operator is TIM, I live in Italy. Thank you for letting me know.
Sent from my Incredible S using xda premium
The only restriction is that your operator must use ussd codes.

[Kernel] ◄ Stock Plus Kernel ► 11/11/11 - Ext4, 802.11n, Tun.ko

Stock+ Kernel
This kernel is based on the HTC 2.6.35 kernel source that was recently released. Just like my Stock+ rom, my goal is to leave this as close to stock as possible while enabling some other useful features.
This kernel is for GingerSense Roms ONLY!
Thanks to tiny4579 for his tips on setting up a build environment. Thanks to Koush for his anykernel update

This kernel is not made to compete with Tiny's kernels. Tiny's kernels are for people that want more control over their phones with new governors, voltages, OC, etc.
This kernel is for those that like the stock kernel but would like to use the Ext4 mod, connect to 802.11n wireless and maybe use Cisco VPNs and such.
What's Changed From Stock?
Enabled built in Ext4 Support
Included the Tun.ko module (Some VPN software uses this)
Disabled HTC's performance lock (Allows you to underclock/overclock the CPU - This kernel does NOT support overclocking)
Enabled 802.11n support
More info:
If you want to use the Ext4 mod, do all the steps for that first and then flash this last in recovery.
Unless you have the dalvik_moved mod installed, this will take care of wiping dalvik for you.

EDIT: After talking to you, I may add that other tweak and include this in the mod. It will save steps and assist with troubleshooting whether an issue is the mod or kernel enhancements. Thanks

I figured that AOSP had plenty of kernel choices. Do none of them have the 802.11n enabled? If not, I can give it a shot. The incredible will max out at about 72Mbps on n.
Thanks for reminding me to add "GingerSense Only" to the OP!
Wow, this was timely. I just did the 2.5 -> 2.6 yesterday and now I get the "Low on space" error all the time. I was coming to XDA to do the Ext4 mod which I read about yesterday and now I find you've, perhaps, simplified the process for me.
I'm a little confused by the note that says, "If you want to use the Ext4 mod, do all the steps for that first and then flash this last in recovery.". Does that mean I should still flash Ext4 (choosing one of the 3 options from that process)? I wasn't sure if Enabled built in Ext4 Support might not actually meant that the Ext4 mod is already included in this zip.
Sorry for the newb-ish questions. I've been running a stock Incredible for almost a year before flashing your 2.5 ROM. I was a ROM-flashing fool with Windows Mobile but was enjoying running something stock that was actually decent, at least until I got sick of waiting for HTC to fix the Gingerbread release.
Thanks!

Ok. So for you the next step would be to download this kernel and the ext4 no_data_limit_normal_dalvik mod (my recommendation) to your sdcard. Boot into recovery and make a nandroid backup.
Then flash the ext4 mod, followed by this kernel and boot it up. You should be good to go after that without the warnings.
Let me know how it goes.

main reason i bought it was because i thought my inc had it enabled but it didnt. plus it was on sale and my old router would drop my laptop connection when playing a game online. (but then i found out it wasnt the router but the cheap moto modem my IPS gave us.)
its nice to have our laptops run on one band and the rest of our crap on the other like google tv, roku box that is in the bedroom, and the blu ray player.

You can go into Settings-->Wireless and Networks-->Wi-Fi Settings and touch (not long-press) the access point that you're connected to. If it's an 802.11n capable router, and you're close to it, you should get speeds of up to 72Mbps listed in that dialog. 802.11g only goes up to 54Mbps so without n, that would be the highest it could be.
i know ext4 is a filesystem, but what does the mod do? and why is whatever it does useful?
also what is this performance lock that is disabled?

It allows underclocking the CPU. Pasted from here:
FAQ:
What is Perflock Disabler?
HTC added a "perflock" in their stock kernels to prevent over/underclocking. SetCPU's Perflock Disabler, like its name implies, disables this restriction.

[Q] No GPS with recent Kernel/Rom

I've searched hi and low and there's been lots of suggestions but nothing related to my handset. Running my IS with Samba Prime 6.5 with redux .6 kernel, s-off, Revolutionary. I can't seem to lock onto any GPS sats. It searches in Maps though I don't see the satellite icon indicating such. Indoors outdoors it dont matter. I used Sambas stock kernel and it worked though there was no icon indicator. Now nothing. Any suggestions? It seemed most other @Nonverbose kernel users are not having issues. I'm new to the game so not too technical. Just another old guy!
Have a look on the last page of the Sabsa thread. I posted a fix there recently that seems to be working.
Edit: It's a flashable zip.
Thank you @Nonverbose. I will flash later this morning and advise

@Nonverbose, just to follow up, PERFECTION is all I can say. This Rom is now complete for everything I require :good: I can even pick up the GPS in my place of work in about 10 secs where it took a minute if at all with the GB stock rom. Thumbs up and thank you. Now if I can figure out how to find the governors options I'd be set for my next bit of testing

This Rom is now complete for everything I require :good: I can even pick up the GPS in my place of work in about 10 secs where it took a minute if at all with the GB stock rom. Thumbs up and thank you. Now if I can figure out how to find the governors options I'd be set for my next bit of testing

You need an external app or daemon to control governors, frequencies, schedulers, etc (edit: easily). I recommend Trickster MOD. It's free, the dev's working on it are brilliant and There's a support thread right here in our forum. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1882645

Bug Reports
First of all, thanx for this awesome rom! Been using it for a few hours now and here arr the bug reports:
1. Brightness slider vanishes below 5% battery charge. Doesnt matter much but the overlapped icons look ugly.
2. Air gesture not working for browsing and music. settings app crashes on long press.
3. Is there anyway by which i can get the stock battery icon? Maybe a flashable zip? And yeah if i want to remove that battery icon mod app, at system level, will there be issues?
WHYS the thread locked??

Ah thanx!!! I think this rom will be my daily driver haha. Really great work done here. BTW this is my secondary account. Lol. Anyways could u, give us information about the AEL kernel v12 that u r using? Links please!!!!
Kernels please!!!
I know I am asking for a lot, but if someone could kindly post to the links of the kernels supported by this rom, it would be really awesome. I have searched a lot, flashed kernels like emotion too. The only thing that worked had an issue with the brightness. Lol. Anyways AEL is pretty cool, but we are all AR v11, someone in the thread mentioned v12 so I got all excited. Haha. And yeah, a bug report, cannot save any greeting cards. Force closed error. Anyways who uses that? Found it while testing things out. Thanx and keep up the work with the rom!! And yeah it has become my daily driver!!!!!!!
google play movies
Does google play movies work on this rom like downloading the movies to your device and play?
Is there any way to get the kernel settings to stick. I'm using synapse. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks all
Been unable to flash any other rom since v1 on account of this rom being way too awesome. Keep up the good work!
Gear manager
Heads up, Gear Manager does not load from the app store, you have to get the apk from XDA, and also you have to backup the Gear files, before you Flash the new Rom with TB because there are files that are missing in Lollipop 5.0.1 I don't know why, that is how I got it to work.
