Modders and others, please help!

Can anyone here MOD the Go Sms Pro application and make it's icon and name similar to our stock messaging? )
I love the usability and look of Go Sms Pro but I dislike it's icon and name. I want the Go Sms Pro to look like our stock messaging icon and name and put it on my dock. I love our stock launcher and I don't plan to use any launchers. I wanted to retain the beauty of the stock launcher.
I hope someone here could help me. I would really appreciate it. Please.

I also tried using the Desktop Visualuzer tip. It actually worked but unfortunately, I can only use it as a shortcut. If only I could put it on my dock. It would be perfect. So please guys. Help me.

there're alot of tutorials to unpack/repack/sign apk.
you can do it yourself ! no need to ask for help...

Okay but sad to say, time is of a constraint for me. That's why I'm asking anyone here a favor. Thanks for the advice anyway. Can you do a favor by doing it? If it's okay with you. )

if you could give me the go sms and stock sms apk files i try to do it for you

I guess there is no need for the stock sms apk. All I wanted is that the icon for the Go Sms Pro would look like our stock messaging icon and it's name would also changed to Text Messaging. I can give you the icon and the Go Sms Pro apk. I guess that's all you'll need? Thank you so much dude. )

Blackberry action Notification on the SG Note ??

Is there any way to get notification like in the attached picture instead of counts on our N7k ???

Sort of just an option to try it out.

well use adw launcher with buggy notification app plugin from adw. Its old not updated in ages, doesnt always work but it looks like it.

the counter we have now tells you that you have X new messages
the one you suggest tells you nothing more than you have new messages

Hello,
This is my first contribution here :fingers-crossed:
Direct access to Phone, SMS, MIUI Notes, Sound Recorder, Camera, ICS Gallery, Calender and Home screen of course
Lockscreen originally from ColorMix theme.. I don't know the Chinese designer's name.. But, credits go to him anyway
I modified the lockscreen to work on my rom (Arconium MIUI 2.511):
- removed the link to Chinese Microblogging app
- fixed link to open ICS gallery instead of MIUI gallery
- changed date format in calender tab
- removed lunar calender from calender tab
- moved date, date and day from top right corner to lower right corner for more space up
- new graphics.. black and white only
double tap on the bottom to open music player, controls show on top left (no album art)
download and install Genie Weather Widget to see the weather updates on lockscreen (in attachments)
ps: I've modified this for my self.. so bare in mind the screen resolution is my Arc S resolution (485×820)

You can change that in Genie Weather app. I use metric (so celsius) since I'm in Europe
Away from that, I'm glad you like it.. Though I didn't take in my consideration the on screen buttons / mod :laugh:

Well, I think the tricky part for me was getting the ADB DRIVERS installed fully/correctly. Install the drivers from any resource that you meet so from Flashtool, Fastboot and USB Drivers.. Just install them all!
Then you need to flash the stock .562 kernel... somehow its easier to root your Arc S with it, and don't worry once you're rooted you can revert to .587
Then use the rooting tool and it should work. Just get the ADB Drivers installed from various sources and flash .562 kernel
Or otherwise, you still can unlock your bootloader and get it locked again

Nova Launcher

For anyone running Nova Launch on their Gear...
How can we get some sort of actual watch functionality?
It's cool having a full-fledged launcher on my watch, but it would also be
pretty damn nifty to have a clock on my watch
Widgets are no-go, so that's out of the question...
Is a lockscreen the answer? and how could that be arranged?

I was able to get the clock/weather widget on Go Launcher Ex. The weather isn't working, but the clock is a go.

With novalauncher, move the app apk after installing from data/app to system/app and reboot. Then you can use widgets. Minimalistic text is a good widget to start with because you can customize everything about the time, date, battery etc. It was easier to set it up on my phone, export the config, push it to the watch and import it.

Did You succeed with creating shortcuts to specific contacts or "quick dial" list or in any other way to see "all contacts" AND "preferred contacts" ?
I am kind of waiting for Samsung to update the firmware, but as this is not happening - I will probably root and install NOVA as I use it on Note3 anyway
Battery widget JINASYS is also very nice.
What about power use with the background - did You notice if it is shorter? - amoled screen draw no power when it is black, so I'd rather keep the background black.

You can add shortcuts, widgets, quick dials and basically anything you can do on your phone when you have the APK in the system directory. Also I am getting 2-3 days battery life from my gear atm, my wallpaper is now mostly white and it still doesn't affect it very much. The latest firmware update for the gear did wonders for battery usage.

Do you need root access to do this? I can not find the apk for nova on the gear? The data folder is empty.

Never mind. I figured it out. I went ahead and rooted then turned on the root access in file manager and set to read and write. then I could see all the folders and files to follow your instructions. Thanks.

I just got my gear less then a week ago. I am interested in doing this but I was wondering if you do this can you still get notifications and s voice if you do this?

So have you been successful in adding quick dials? I am using Nova and have working widgets, but I cant find a working quick dial? everyone I try crashes after trying to add the widget. I have UCCW installed and working great so widgets do work.

Is your background picture? Going to edge of Gear? If so what picture widget are you using?
I tried one photo widget app, but it didn't go to the edges, and it looked funny.

He is taking about favorite contacts. So if you want to call someone you don't have to go through all three contacts to do so.....
I have been looking for an answer to this question as well, but have been unable to find it.

[Q] Duplicate birthday events in calendar

Running the stock calendar, I'm getting duplicate birthday entries for all of my contacts with birthday info. The pink one matches the Google Calendar settings for Birthday Calendar. The blue one I'm not quite sure where it's coming from. How can I fix this? Thanks.

Have you gone into the *calendars* menu option to see if the are multiple birthday calendars selected? (It should be right at the bottom of the list of different calendars)
