Calendar client (non-widget)

Hi,
Is there any better replacement of the Google Calendar app?
I am asking the non-widget version.
There are possibly many good apps, but which one will you recommend?
I prefer the one that we can change the colors or has dark / black theme

There's Pure grid calendar, Jorte, Calendar pad.... There's a crapload in the market but those are 3 I've tried that are decent

I tried Jorte and love it ...
The thing that I don't understand ... It said it has TASK organizer ...
Does it also sync?
Or it is only manually sync to Google task?

Task Widget / To Do list widget / Checkit widget

Hey guys,
I am in need of a task/todo widget. A good one, My criteria :
It should be a widget:
where i can see all my tasks/todo list etc
All the tasks should havea check box for easy checking in the widget ( without opening the app : i.e. when i press a checkbox to complete the task, the widget shouldnt expand or open the app at all, i just want it to check it off in the widget itself )
Also expandable and collapseable subtasks and or notes within the widget itself, without going into the app ( i tested many apps doing this, i dont want that )
Any of one know of such a wonderous app out there???

Use Any do to do app, it satisfies almost all the criterias you've asked.
Search for "any do" in the market.

But Anydo app doesnt meet my criteria
- no subtasks
-pressing widget opens up app
-no checkboxes in app

Dato GTasks has checkboxes and multiple lists (replacement for sub-tasks) and can even sync with Google account - but it has no checkboxes in the widget...

I am already using color note cuz i love the little notes it puts in .. but i want to replace it with my dream task app

Besides Google the only one I know of is EZ-Schedule, we use it at work. I don't think it meets your requirements though. = /

How to get notification of birthdays?

I m not good at remembring someone's birthday so I tagged some birthday dates to my contacts...
They are now showed in s planner. But it don't give me any notification for that, why?
So how get status bar notification for such evets.

U mean I have add it for all bdays
So this splanner doesn't take these b'days as events?? I think it should give a status bar notification

Sorry, but I don't know Exactly about it. I have 4.1.2 calender andit has an option to add a reminder !
Btw did u create an event or a birthday? If event, then, it should! If birthday, then I think it won't give a reminder automatically! !!

Nope, I only added birthday in contacts...thinking that it would give a notifiacation.

I put this in the apps thread, you may want to try it, the daily calendar gives you birthdays and events one week in advance
Splanner Widgets

I hate the calendar, any alternatives?

Hi all,
I love the calendar on my Note and I absolutely hate the calendar on the One.
Has anyone successfully ported calendars from other phones? More specifically the calendar from the Note/S4/S3?
I'm wondering if the Google edition S4 calendar would work on the One.

I would just try google calendar and see if you like that one.
