Do you have fast charging in that ROM? If so, if it is enabled simply turn it off.

Since I rooted, using unleash the beast and now have one click lag fix, when I connect my usb cable to my phone I can click on usb mount but nothing happens unless I unplug.....turn on debugging and reconnect. Now Win 7 makes an audible sound when I plug in....I click on mount and both my internal and external sd card show up......what's up with that? Thanks in advance.

Problem connecting tab with usb

i'm having a problem with the usb of this device its a sprint galaxy tab i brought it used. under menu / settings / wireless and network i dont see an options for usb and when i plug in the usb cord to the computer theres a red x on the battery, windows doesnt even prompt me to install drivers i'm lost on what to do next
Try to use a different usb cord. . . By the way. . . What rom are you using in your tab? Because it seems that BOCA ROM doesnt have usb setting
i'm using the stock sprint rom and the usb cord is brand new i brought it from the t-mobile store yesterday
also what would the cord have to do with no usb options showing up under wireless and networking
Use a different usb port, and try a different pc.
Under setting>>wireless & network>>usb setting which do you choose? This option is important as your usb cord function depend on the selection of usb option. If you choose kies samsung, make sure you have the software install on your PC. If mass storage, make sure your have SD card inside and its not corrupted.
The battery with the x red cross i think is normal each time you connect it to PC. If you connect it to AC plug, then the x cross will not show.

Ok there is a similar post on this. Plug tablet in and charge it. While tablet is charging unplug your pc and then reboot it up to reset the usb ports. take your tablet and connect usb cable to pc. Ensure you have the samsung usb drivers loaded. Put your tablet in download mode and using odin try reflashing. You can try this if you don't have a second pc.

[Q] USB Debugging

Trying to charge my developers edition via USB port on new car stereo. I just get it toggling between USB connected and USB debugging. I try to turn off debugging in the developers menu but it just resets itself. Any ideas? Thanks

USB charging issue

Hi. My friend got an Xperia Z last night. The phone charges normally when connected to a charger, but refuses to charge if it is connected to a laptop. I tried charging other phones using the same usb charger, and it charges just fine. I then tried using other USB cables to charge this phone, but in vain. Is there a setting that could have disabled USB charging? Could someone please help me?
Note: The phone is running Android 4.2.2
Enable usb debugging in developer options. I don't know. But this worked for me

Changed USB settings to connect in mass storage mode. Now the phone charges over USB. Thanks for the clue
I think 4.2.2 has a bug.
I find it won't charge on usb with pc as well as most charger & cable won't work.
Just try changing to mass storage mode and it seem to work.
