Hello i installed STOCK ICS via kdz flash and now i wanted to know if its usefull to install the supercharger script or not.
Hi. You can use Supercharger of course, but it's a bit harder on ICS as it you have to manually patch service.jar etc.
So I would suggest you to install a stock-based ROM from here in the O2X Development section, for example DjangoManoucheX, LG Fuzion, CivZ Multi Flex, and all the others with the [ICS] pretag. Most of these CONTAIN integrated V6 Superchargers with patched service.jar. They all look and do the same as the stock ICS you just installed, but, in my opinion, they are much smoother, stable, etc. I'm using DjangoManoucheX myself and it's one of the best experiences I've had with my phone.
If you don't want to root or flash a custom ROM, then just follow zeppelinrox's exact instructions in his V6 Supercharger thread to get the full experience. However, it uses too much CPU, as some people stated it in the past weeks, so it may drain your device's battery faster, and other disadvantages. I hope I could help.
Ok thank you. Because of the drain i/we (a friend of me, and me) dont use dmx or other custom roms atm... customroms = gps bugged/bad camera
stock roms drain too much.. i must say the STOCK is really smooth aswell.. but maybe as u said the V6 is draining in the other roms... atm we got ~1.6% bat usage per hour

I've got the same drain, I hibernated all the apps with Greenify I could, so there aren't so much things running in the background. Also DMX doesn't use SuperCharger, it's still super smooth. If you don't got any problems with stock ROM's smoothness then dont bother supercharging it IMO, it affects multitasking and a few other things too negatively.

Hi. I'm currently using MIUI rom.
But its battery drain can't be help. Thought of using cm7 kang.
But the outlook of cm7 bores me as im used too have it on my optimus one..
Which rom do you guys recommend? Sorry for my engrish.....

OK i think it CM7 is out of the picture. I am on CM7 at the moment and I do like MIUI but it is very integrated and sensitive. Have you tried vandonkas kernel on miui? http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1427646 or check my thread for other alternatives http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1460147
CM7/KANG (by Temasek) is my last choice... and my best one (IMHO) - Battery life with custom Kernel "CherryPicks" (I didn't try the stock one) is very nice.
A well balanced performance/batterylife one, with all CM7 options, spare parts and so on...
Hope this helps (a bit )
Try MIUI or CM7 with Vadonka's kernel. Should give pretty good battery life
Thanks for the replies.
I'm using back swiftextreme kernel back because its more lag free.
Do you guys recommend me the v20o stock with horse power kernel? :B

I don't use Stock roms anymore, even wiith v20L/O, but read some posts and impressions seems pretty good. With HP Kernel you can expect good performance, but no sure about the BatteryLife...
and if you need continuous improvements/battery balance, the custom ROMs and Kernels will give more choice - in my humble experience...
The battery life is indeed excellent with spica's or fps kernels! Three days and even more have been reported. If you use the phone a lot spica's sr1 or sr2 is very good, and the the pre-12 seems to be even better.
The problem with the stock ROMs it's the slowly fluency a pair of days later.
MIUI with vadonka's kernels has a battery save impressive and with a great fluency all the time.
The people speak very well about spica's kernels, it can be a good choise.

this is a great ROM...with HP and either ICS or Swish...
infact the SR2 and the RC-11R both works great....i have 2days and 18hrs now and still left with 41% battery perf.....good work Carburano
can we use vandonkas or spica's or fps kernels with stock 20l ?

spica / fps = yes
vandonkas only if you want bootloop (CM only)
so with stock 20l or stock 20o which one do u suggest for stability no lags and good battery life.

Hello, i want to ask you which Touch Wiz ICS ROM is best For Note as im deciding between Rocket ROM and Cosmo ROM...
Im looking for Battery life and tweaks mainly......
Thank you
Battery life is great on stock ics latest.
Tweaks and mods can always be done by yourself without including any unwanted.
Well since i dont know how to do those tweaks im sticking to custom and no battery life on latest ICS wasnt so good for me
hmm. may be this will be a little help
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1847786
Ya watched there found 2 ROMS which i like Rocket and Cosmo i tried them both but cant decide
On cosmo i had good battery
but in Rocket the system is more responsive and pictures looks better i think i will see the battery tommorow
hey guys ,, i have finished all my work on viperx but im having difficulties for finding a suitable kernel to use without getting big battery drain ,,please select wisely ONLY according to battery life
I just tried Noobys kernel apart from stock one, I sometimes get excelent battery life, using almost 5hours of wifi, like 48 hours, but some days i cant get through the day, I think is related to my installed apps..
I wish i had tried more kernels to help you decide which one to use in your ROM, because im actually using Nemesis 2, but happens that i find both (rom+kernel) very stable for everyday use, and want to keep it like that.

IMO, The most important thing to chose a kernel is first it should stable, then good battery life. For include in your ROM I suggest you use the kernel that stable for everyone. As you know, every device has it own limitation, how high it can handle the clock, how low it can handle the voltage.
Why?
Some user dont know what custom kernel is, and what the advantages and disadvantages if using custom kernel. Some user usually flash and use the ROM as it is. If they flash the ROM and the ROM doesnt stable for them, mostlikely they will say something like "The ROM is not stable, I got SOD" or "This ROM is sucks, often reboot by itself". Yes, they will blame the ROM, whereas actually it because their device cant handle the UV or OC kernel.
Also you can write suggestion to use custom kernel to gain more battery life/performance in your ROM's thread.
The users can easily to flash other kernel that they like after they flash the ROM.
Well, this is just my thought. The decisions is up to you
----------------
as for the poll, I choose ZGK v0.1-beta, coz:
- 200/500/700/1000/1100 (OC not too high so it save, 200 as min clock good battery in deep sleep)
- stock voltage (no SOD)
- stable for my old P970, and battery drain is good enough

Hi,
I've rooted my device some time ago. (I'm still pretty much a Noob though). I was on a 4.1 (4.2?) based ROM with Cyanogen Mod.
Due to heavy battery drain and instability I decided to go again for stock ROM (rooted ofc).
Zeus ROM looks quite interesting (regarding battery drain an stability) to me.
There are different kernels out there for the P970. Is the right/best kernel included in Zeus ROM or do I have to install Huexx' Kernel additionally?
Or is there any other Kernel which works better for Zeus ROM?
Is there anything else I have to take care of when installing Zeus ROM (besides the typicall things like wipe data/cache, etc which are explained in "The Big N00B guide")?
Thanks in advance
anyone?:crying:
PS: I cant post on development threads. So that's why I have to ask here: Can anyone reupload Zeus v7.0 and the update v7.6?
Downloadlinks on huexxx blog dont't exist anymore and the reupload links in Zeus thread won't work either.
I think that A2.3 is too old now, there are lot of apps that can't be installed on A2.3. So I recomande you to use IZS 2.0, you will finde it only on htcmania forum, because Heuxxx is occurs to XDA. It's A4.0 from Heuxxx. And you don't have to solve possible problems with downgrade to A2.3. But if you want to use A 2.3 I recomande you to flash original A2.3 rooted, and then flash Zeus 7.
I have been using the stock rom 4.0.3 since I bought the phone since the v10h rom didnt reduced the battery usage and overheating
What are the best rom available or how could I reduce the huge power drain from the battery and dont lose a lot of performance?
If you are looking for a rom that is stable without a lot of hiccups, then I would recommend CM11 as this is by far the most stable rom that I have tried. In terms of performance and heat, you can try to flash Cyodak or iodak thhen use Trickster MOD to undervolt so as to avoid heat. For details you can search for pimp my kernel tread in this forum.

For downloading latest CM11 ver. Click HERE
All in one !?
If you have hesitations; there are few Officials:
-LG JB (needed for bootloader)
-Omnirom 4.4 (outdated must)
-CM11 4.4.4+ (frugal dalvik' engine & up to date!)
-NamelessRom 2.1 (top eol)
There are all compatible with Fritzcola' twrp 2.8.6 and can be all multibooted if you chose Nameless as primary.
A first, install Multirom's twrp on LG JB; proceed a backup for a later re-use on secondary slot!
Smartlauncher & init.d tweaks are always battery friendly.
After that, with a simple Windows' trick, you can add aosp 5.1.1 on 2nd.
Nota : don't zipalign LG JB /system if you want to stay with GApps.
