[HELP] Install DjangomanoucheX - LG Optimus 2x

Hello people, I have a LG Optimus 2X for long a time. But now I want to change my ROM and I want to try DjangoManoucheX (all ready downloaded it, version 1.6.1. 30b) and downloaded too a recovery (TWRP) but now I don't know how too do it. Can anyone point me a tutorial or teach me how to do it? Regards.
PS. Sorry my poor English but I am Portuguese.

There's a more recent version (1.6.5), I'd suggest you to get that one, it works better for me.
First make sure you have all the apps and all backupped, as everything will be wiped off your device. In TWRP, tap on Install button, select the DjangoManoucheX ROM you uploaded, select DO A FULL WIPE on the first screen, then follow the instructions. You can leave everything as defaulty selected, only change anything if you're sure that you need it differently. Then the ROM will install itself, on the last screen click finish, your device will reboot into the new system. Wait a minute or two after booting in, as the fresh system needs a little time to settle. Tell me if you need any more help.

Well I am find trouble installing TWRP, I am fallowing this tutorial:
1. Download and place the Recovery Image on the Desktop of your PC.
2. Install the Android Terminal Emulator App on your smartphone.
3. Connect your phone to your PC using the USB cable that came with it.
4. Transfer the Recovery Image to the root folder of your phone’s SD card. It is the topmost folder.
5. After the file transfer has been completed, disconnect your phone from the PC.
6. Open Android Terminal Emulator App on your smartphone.
7. Type in the following commands in the terminal:
su
cd /sdcard
dd if=recovery.img of=/dev/block/mmcblk0p7
8. Reboot your smartphone using the Power button.
When I tape the commands on Terminal Emulator it`s says error no space left on device. Any help?
Cheers

Use AIO Toolkit from development section, it has all the instructions to install TWRP, it's a much easier method.
you have to connect it with apx mode (pull battery, press both volume buttons while you plugging in the USB cable) . are you rooted already on new bootloader?

go to app settings, select ICS Camera and clear data. If it still doesn't work, delete it and you can reinstall it from play store.

Not worked with clear data option. Still closing when capturing panoramas or making video with time lapse option. I will try second option (uninstall)

I would say then to get rid of that app and install back stock ICS camera, and/or search for a camera app with panorama function. I included the original LG camera app here if you want it (it's from the ROM, so all credits go to LG and Carburano). Doesn't this have panorama function btw? I haven't used it.
I found you this free app with panorama function:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=panorama.activity
Or use CameraZoomFX (although it's paid).
I hope I could help!

I will try that solution. Thanks

When I've tried to install the installer says: "cannot install app".
What I'm doing wrong?
Sent from my LG-P990 using xda app-developers app

you have to move it to system / app folder with root browser or anything like that, then change the permissions to r-w-r-r (long press the file, permissions and only tick these in this order). it will be installed automatically then.
Sent from my LG-P990 using xda premium

here are a few pics to make it easier, if you haven't done this
first pic is the root of your phone where you can find system folder, navigate there, you can find app folder inside, that's where you have to copy CameraApp.apk. Long press on it then the rest of the pics show how to change permissions.

How to root froyo 2.2.2

Download the .apk found here. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1044765 i used version 1.2. install a file manager if you transfered the file from your pc and find the .apk and install it. if doing it from the device same thing. before opening the .apk make sure debugging is on and unknown sources is enabled.
Open the gingerbreak .apk and simply click Root device. If successful the device will reboot. Once it reboots download an app that requires superuser. and if all went well it should ask for superuser perms. Also you should now see the SU apk in your app draw.
Now Download Rom Manager from the market and flash Clockworkmod recovery and flash away. Rom manager is only good for flashing recovery nothing else works within it. You must manually enter recovery by holding + volume and power until bootloader menu appears. Then select option 2. Make sure your battery has 80% or more. No more fastboot. Good luck and happy streaking.
I'm not responsible if you brick your device. Do some reading before you think about rooting and see if its for you.
Thanks goes to the devs of gingerbreak.
THANK YOU HELLZYA!
And Thanks to Chainfire over at GingerBreak.
This is the coolest thing EVER!
So happy to have root now!!!!!!
Time to be a flash monster. lol
Very strange. I have SU but CWM does not work.
I click on Backup ROM and it just reboots.
I click on Install ROM from SDCard and it just reboots.
I click Reboot into Recovery and it just reboots.
Other than that everything else works great that needs SU.
Now everything force closes
I haven't been able to flash because everytime I reboot my Streak 7 returns to factory state, so in another thread I was suggested this workaround to help me get CWM installed and then flash another ROM...
Well, I ran this and it seemed to be fine, ran quick and then rebooted, but much to my disappointment, now everything force closes, everything, I can't even use the calculator.... and sometimes the startup wizard crashes and/or the home launcher...
Im worse off than when I started.
About the only info I can give you is that it's a Streak 7 with 2.2.2 installed
Gravityrat rom manager is only good for flashing recovery nothing else. You have to manually access. Cwr by holding plus volume and power till you see bootloader menu. Select option 2 and you will be presented with cwr. Make sure your battery is at 80% or more

Where was this when I spent hours using SuperOneClick and finding workarounds?
But seriously, thanks for the method input! I love methods that don't require a computer (I'm trying to rid myself of a computer entirely, so I hate to hook up to my old desktop even if it's to root).
Thatruth it was actually posted this week. Saw it tryed it and it worked. Figured id share

Mods, can you replace the SuperOneClick sticky with this?
I am new at this, so can someone please explain how do I "make sure debugging is on and unknown sources is enabled"?
You need to download the gingerbreak apk from xda, make sure you allow opps from unknown sources and have debugging ticked, install the apk then open it and run it your streak will reboot then you have root hope it helps you
Go to your streaks settings and within there in applciations and development sections
Settings - applications - tick unknown sources - select development - tick debugging

How to Flash Stock Rom

WARNING: Internal SD content will be erased
To begin with go here and download the ROM of your country/region
Secondly download smartflash and drivers from here and install them
Now run SmartFlashTool_P990.exe
Turn the phone off, remove the battery and connect the phone to pc via usb while holding down the vol.down button.
Now you should be able to see the software upgrade screen, and COM port of smartflash will change automatically.
Now in smart flash select "ROM Copy D/L"
Make sure that "Normal Mode" is checked and "Erase Cal" is NOT checked
In AP Bin click browser and select the (BIN) file
In CP Bin click browser and select the (FLS) file
Click start, sit back and wait
I'll try to remember next time that I return to stock rom record it and upload it
Here is the video I said i would record
Yes i do it many time and works very good.
The flash take about 7 minutes
I. Thought you had to nvflash to put stock rom back on device? Or is that just if the phone is bricked?

21. Unplug USB from phone and insert battery, sim, and sd card.
22. Boot phone and after booted power down.
23. Boot into CWM recovery and wipe data/factory reset, wipe dalvik cache, install zip from sdcard, choose zip from internal sdcard, select Rom. Reboot system and enjoy.
Hopefully this simplifies things for those of you that are trying to get Gingerbread installed. If you need screen shots for certain parts I will try to help out.
Watch Video and follow steps above "http://youtu.be/ExwoHC5pOiQ"
To get back to stock just use the V10e .fls file and then load the stock rom from CWM recovery.
For factory stock try this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1270832 after the baseband is restored
Files you will need to Flash Baseband from Froyo to Gingerbread and Back http://www.mediafire.com/?c2i2f4c9sz8u8z2

Just for the record, I'm not taking credit for anything other than just putting the information already out there into simple step by step directions that I used.

Has ANYONE successfully rooted this phone (S6010/S6012)?
Right now it seems to be mostly people asking others to try some method or other and then waiting to see if anyone reports success before trying it themselves.
If anyone has rooted it, please provide detailed method of rooting with screenshots if possible for this particular phone
@rahulsnair, the method you have posted on various threads does not work. I have tried it multiple times (on S6012), it always gives the
mount: permission denied (are you root?)
error.
Has anyone tried the method on here:

Here's what it says
While searching for a method to root the JB build for the yarvik tablet of my family (usual methods have not been successful), i stumbled upon the following Windows based method that now i want to share and should work with a lot more devices:
On your PC:
1. Install USB/ADB drivers from your manufacturer's website
2. Install & connect via http://www.moborobo.com Management Tools, loads own device specific ADB-drivers
3. Download & install this Chinese piece of software from http://www.shuame.com/
In case you don't understand what you do:
- On Website press blue download-button with arrow pointing downwards
- During Installation uncheck every checkbox except the one that grays out the next-button upon unchecking
the download has been a bit slow for me (10kb/sec), if it fails or the take it offline: drop a comment, perhaps i can share the setup file somehow
4. On your device: turn on USB-debugging
On your PC:
5. Run Moborobo Software, then plug your device to USB-Port, wait until Moborobo has recognized it (in my case i had to click some dialogues...)
6. Run freshly installed software from Shuame.com (titled Ë¢»ú¾«Áé in my start menu)
7. When shuame-Logo appears on your device's screen, head on the windows-software towards the 4th icon in the top row; on the appearing screen click on the 4th icon in the 2nd icon-row (the android with some chinese signs + ROOT as title)
on your device:
8. download SuperUser (or superSU) from Market or install via other sources (if not already done)
9. replace asian root / su files (recognized as older versions) with newer ones by SuperUser or superSU
10. delete 2 chinese shuame-APKs from /system/apps directory or uninstall via Titanium Backup
11. => you're done.
if more than 10 People complain they can't find the right button's to click
then i'm willing to post a few screenshots...
else: have fun!
oh, and if this worked for you: drop a comment and let the others know!
PS: props go out to the yarvik forum where i found this: http://forum.yarvik.com/showthread.php?4243-root-after-upgrade-to-4-1-1&p=12972&viewfull=1#post12972

[Q] accidentally disabled settings.

Alright guys I need your help, and I couldn't find anything that helped. Anyways I was messing with my phone, and I got a system notification that wouldn't clear in the notification bar. I usually just click on the app and click "force close" from the settings app. Unfortunately I accidentally clicked disable instead, and now I can't seem to re enable the settings.
I'm currently running the venom Rom from kit Kat 4.4.2. Hopefully someone can help, and not laugh at me too much. Anyways thanks in advance.

just re-flash the rom
Ya I just tried that a little while ago and it didn't work. Although I didn't wipe anything I just flashed. Do you think I might have to flash?
What is it that you disabled?

Like clsA said, just re-flash the rom, you will have to wipe everything, possibly your internal storage too as if I remember right, Venom Rom stores the settings there, I know for sure it stores themes and mods there, this will leave your phone completely empty apart from Bootloader and Recovery, you will then have to push the ROM to your internal storage and flash it.
Place the rom in the same folder as adb and fastboot on your computer, put the phone in recovery (main screen only), plug into the PC and open a command window in your fastboot/adb folder and type adb push (rom name).zip /sdcard/
Then flash it.
Alright I'll try that now that I'm home I'll see if that works thank you.

I disabled the settings app. You know where you can see app settings and such. I'll have to wait a bit before I can use a computer. But I was wondering, after using the app you suggested (didn't seem to work on my problem) I was able to find the "settings.apk" file. Wondering if uninstalling and reinstalling the "settings" app would fix anything with out having to lose any of my data. But I'm also not sure if uninstalling the settings would damage my phone, or if I do uninstall it might not let me install it again.
I tried installing the apk with out uninstalling it first and it just said application not installed

Update. I installed app quarantined and was able to find the settings apps disabled there. I was able to use that to 're enable it
