Uhh NO, Windows Phone source is closed (I think) so no one can't port and this device is based on Android, Customize your device to look like one,

HTC Vivid Windows drivers

I was following the tutorial for removing Carrier IQ from the Vivid, and needed the Windows drivers. This is for a friend, and I don't want to install the entire 150MB HTC Sync crap. I got them to install it and here are the drivers alone, only 1MB each (Win7, Windows XP).
Hope someone finds them helpful.
Thank you. These will be great for those of us with slow connections and prefer a light impact on storage
Thanks for this, I always kept drivers in a folder on my rd card if I needed to access my phone through someone's pc

I can't thank you enough. I live in Cuba and use a dial up connection (there's no alternative). I can not even download the All-In-One toolkit since is 25 mb. So Light downloads make my day.

Thanks for the drivers!
This should definitely be stickied. I was looking for this several days ago and could not find it.
Could just download the file from HTC - install, it will ask to install driver, after done hit cancel - woala, no sync installed.

Try the XP 32 bit driver he posted. It should work for Vista.
Hey, I don't know if anybody is still looking at this thread or not (I was), but when trying to install the drivers on a new Windows 7 computer, the Windows 7 drivers didn't work, but then I tried the Windows XP drivers and those worked fine. Just an fyi for anybody that might be having issues.

If the Windows 7 driver didn't work, perhaps you are not on a 64bit OS.

Ubuntu Touch

Has anyone looked into creating a Ubuntu Touch build for this device?
I've read through the instructions, I'm thinking of giving it a go to compile a build, but I've never compiled anything before.
Here is the link to the porting page, in case anyone else with more experience would like to try
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Touch/Porting
Why would you want it? It's just a dev preview. Not a working os
Sent from my HTC One using xda premium
We already ported it actually, just didn't tried to boot it up. Porting ubuntu touch only requires a working port of cm10.1 which we already have.
Ubuntu touch = cm10.1 rom without dalvik/java parts + zip provided from cdimage.ubuntu.com
Any dev with proper development environment can build it. I would compile it but I don't have time to setup dev environment since I'm using windows. I may try to make it happen this weekend.

That's why I decided against doing it, although if we get it working now, once it's finished we'd be able to compile is straight away

I started porting it, hopefully I can get a working build tonight. I'll upload it if I can manage to get a working(or at least booting) build.
That would be wicked
Sent from my HTC One using xda premium
Yeah would love to give this a try

It's really not worth a flash until it's an actual os and not a dev preview.

The full version is up, when you download the images there is the preview to download or the full version.......at least that's what I seen.....

HTCDEV seems dead! I've unlocked my M7 with a bad unlockcode so I'm waing for htcdev!!!
I confirm, htcdev is dead atm so I can't unlock my bootloader. I'll build to test, to build without errors but I'll probably need testers until htcdev work... Tell me if you can.. ( I'm looking for people able to logcat and tell me what's wrong...)

Did you have any luck? I had tried to follow the Porting Guidelines, but I couldn't get the image properly built. I just put CM 10.1 from the nightly onto the device yesterday. I'll try to just flash the most recent image from the cdimage.ubuntu.com server and see where that gets me. I'll report back this evening.

Which Htc or Android Verision asks for spc/msl for Diag ?

I had my HTC one that I got from a friend, it wasn't rooted or anything but it didnt play a sound when booted and it did not ask for msl/spc when I turned on Diag mode. but I wanted to reset the phone completely so I dailed ## 786# and after that reset, Now my Htc plays a sound when its booting up and Diag mode ask me for SPC... SO im wonder which verision of Android or HTC software number that doesn't do this ? i'm currently on Android 4.1.2 , Sense 5.0, Software 1.29.651.10

[Q] What does this sound mean?

I tried going back to stock with the RUU in one of the how-to videos posted on here. I have done it before no problem but this time when I plug my device into my computer I get this sound.
http : //youtu.be/ 5L9HIh_V0FE
(sorry unable to posts videos so I had to split it up)
I'm not sure what it means all my drivers are installed correctly but ADB won't recognize my phone and I can't go back to stock.
My computer recognizes the phone when it's fully on but not when on the bootloader.
I'm not sure exactly what is happening so any help is appreciated.

It means it isn't recognizing your device. Use the all in one tool found in the Sprint HTC ONE forum to reinstall drivers.

Don't do this with Hansoons Kit. it is worthless. Just install HTC sync as it includes the proper drivers.
What version of Windows? If it's windows 8, that's your problem.

Windows 8 has worked with a lot of people for drivers, so that shouldn't be it, however I have the same issue with fastboot and Windows 8 :crying:
Try Windows 7.

Windows 8 works that's what I use for my pc. Windows 8.1 is the one having issues since they have to update the drivers for it
