[Q] Phone died - One (M7) Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello everyone!
Im writing on behalf of my father. His HTC one is about a week old and was working excelently till today. Yesterday evening the battery draind to 0%, cause he forgot to charge it. So he charged it over night. In the morning, the green light was on, battery charged. He unpluged it and tried to turn it back on, but nothing happened. He then plugged in the charger once again and no charging light... What could be the problem? Battery problems or sth else?

Try holding the power button for 10-15 seconds, this will force reboot it and maybe (and hopefully) it will work again.

Ty for the info.
So, after holding the power button for well over a minute! the phone sprang back to life (phew) I told my father to try uninstalling juice defender and stuff he installed last. Hopefully that will solve it. But still, what could cause such a weird problem? :/
Anyways, ty again...

My xperia doesn't take the charge!

Hey, dunno if some one had the same problem but my xperia doesn't take the charge.
Its appened when the mobile has terminated all his battery, and know the charge is not accepted by the phone
help me please
Something perhaps similar happened to me, i ran my battery completely flat and then could not switch the phone on even when it was on the charger. So I left it on the charger for ~1 hour and then it switched on fine! The other possibility is that you battery is dead. Hope this helps!
Its not the first time its appened to me, and the first time i had the problem i try a lot of time to recharge it, take out the battery, replace it etc.. and its worked.
But in 2 days, my phone is off :/
My battery is not dead i know, but how to recharge it
I have 2 computers from which I load it with usb cable. For some reason Mac Pro doesn't load the damn phone but Macbook does.
Try switching your "power" source. And sometimes when the battery goes really flat it needs many hours to even boot when loading up. One time I really thought the damn thing was dead for sure... But it came back to life
When you press the power button there's a red light next to volume buttons indicating it doesn't have enough power yet to boot up. If there's no red light then it's not charging at all.

Just leave if plugged-in and it will charge. It takes some time before it will charge if it is fully drained.
Ok thanks for reply
Have no real solution, but have the red light near to the volume button, or in the top of the phone.
But the phone doesn't take the charge at all...
The red light gave the battery charge, only that... have it sometimes and sometimes havent it...
Help me please
2 day less my phone know..
Ok i dunno why but the phone weak UP !
NICE
Ir was connected to the cpu and i presszs the button and it weak up
omg this phone
(Sort of) got it.
I'm not really an xda developer but id do have an xperia.
The same problem occured to my device about three weeks ago. I've noticed that the phone would still charge in the computer, but not by the power net adapter. (it must be broke i guess)
Today i've locked myself out calling the battery flat. I couldnt get it on anymore. After a lot of hassle this was the solution for me:
1) Connect the phone to a computer. Don't try to turn it on! Leave it there for about 15 minutes.
2) Disconnect the phone and pull out the battery.
3) Hold down the "on" button while inserting the battery back.
-- It should turn on now
4) Release the on button and quickly connect it to your computer again.
Hope this helps.
I just remember the red led lit on at the on/off button and the red light disappeared after 5 mins or so and i left for breakfast while it was still in the charger and by the time im back from breakfast, it turned itself on and was charging up

I got a BIG problem

Well, i woke up, my Xperia X1 was on, i charged it the whole night, it worked great.. but then i restarted it, (turned it off) and then turned it on again, but NOTHING, it just vibrates, but nothing is on the screen.. & the 4 led indicators don't turn on.. my phone died or what?

You better change the charger first. Your problem must battery low that is not enough to switch on.

But the battery was full when i turned it off the first time.. it had charged the whole night long.. maybe battery dead? or can it be the weather? it has been 36° here and that's not normal in my country.. can it be the heat? or smthing i don't know :s
Now its WORKING again !!
I pushed the on button.. it vibrated..
Then i waited a long time..
I took the battery out.. then put it back in.. but when i pushed the power button it didn't vibrate anymore.. so the battery was dead.. i put the charger on.. the led's were not lighting up.. but after 5minutes or more.. then they turned on
I turned on the phone and everything is working great now.. but i know if i turn it off it wont turn on again ;s

Maybe you charge the battery to 100% first, and try to insert the SIM card.
I have got an example tonight. When I sleep at 2:00am ,the battery is 60%,
I think that no need to charge. But, at this morning. My phone is turn off.
and then I switch on. Its battery is 0%. I don't know what happen. Maybe I use some programme that is too power hungry.

[Q] Completely drained external/internal battery?

I've looked all over. And I've tried everything.
This is what happened to my Xperia. it was 29% before I went to bed. When I woke up the next day, it was completely dead. No lights, no anything. I've tried charging it for 24 hours, I've tried charging the battery through an external charger, I've waited 2 days to power it on again. I've also tried that hard reset trick on one thread here. No go. I'm frustrated. Does anyone know any way this could be fixed and why did this happen?
13 views and no reply... I'm gonna shamelessly beg now.. anyone?
since you have tried hard reset, and it doesnt work
i prefer theres something wrong with your battery

Is it possible for the battery to just die like that without any warning? My battery was okay before this problem. I've tried it with an external charger and it charges.
It could be the charging circuit itself.
I recall a similar thing happening to me on another HTC phone, sorry I can't recall the details (but it was beyond my skills to repair it, and it was an old phone by then). A friendly technical centre could help you with that diagnosis.
At least you can get a desktop charger that will charge the battery up without it having to be inside the phone , if that is the case.

I've tried charging without the phone. External charger or desktop charger. Doesn't work either.
Sounds weird, but did you try to hold down the power button for a few seconds to let x1 on? Sometimes I have that too when the battery goes empty and the phone goes off. It doesnt open immediately when I press the button, but have to hold down the power button for a few seconds and than release. Try that for about 5 times. If noting happens, than its not the same problem that I have.

Usually I get around 2-3 days of battery backup(on standby). Now my xperia is not switching on. Can anyone suggest some solution for our problem...I am now charging the battery using wall charger, but i dont see any battery charging notifications.

CM9 My Optimus wont turn on

Hello Pleashe help!
I have installed cm9, and for the night plug it in the charger, and now it wont turn on! It's plugged to the charger but nothing is working! Please Help! I cant turn it on! SO many thanks to helpers! Please guys!
I'll be so glad if you help me!
Have you tried a battery pull and then turned it on again? It could be a BSOD.
had the same problem (sort of) yesterday without the powercable connected, it seemed like the battery was empty while it shouldn't be, i fixed it using power+ vol up but i guess a battery pull should work aswell
sent from my LG 2X using cm9
Well i have tried for 5-10 mins to fix it, plugging it on the charger, and pulling the battery, this morning, but i can't get anything. What can be that for?
Can i revert back to stock (nVflash), or even turn it on? MUCH much thanks to everyone!
I really want to get my phone working, If someone can help me, i can give him some money in PayPal!
P.S I'm in school now, and with another phone! When I go back home i'll try what you say again! I left it in charge (from pc) and hopefully, it's because battery has drained or something! Thank you for the replies! I look forward to reply's, about how to solve this. Thanks!
had same problem this morning (left phone in charger for night).... i just disconnected phone from charger, removed battery for 10 sec, put it back - and phone is on...
only problem is that battery level was showing 999% (unknown), and after ~10-20 minutes it was 1% all the time (worked with 1% 2+ hours).. now it is charging again.. everything seems ok.
**
If it wont turn on, just remove battery, and connect it to PC while holding volume up key (or down.)... it should boot "upgrading firmware" mode... after just use smartflash and restore to stock.
hm... happend second time, when phone was on "wall" charger..
when charging from PC - no problems... when from "wall" charger - always BSOD after few hours...
anyone else have similiar problems?
I had the same as in OP during first night while it was hanging off the wall charger. It hasn't happened since, but I enabled "keep screen awake during chargin". I beleive I read somewhere here it should help with that.
Same problem here overnight charge and the phone wash dead.
After a battery pull it was ok.
It 's a bugg.
Mine survived overnight charging just fine...
And it rocks (ICS i mean).
Solution for Me
Hey i got my optimus 2x just yesterday on Starhub Singapore, and similarly, i HAD the same problem until i followed some post above about removing the battery, plug in the computer/laptop with proprietary usb cables, WHILST HOLDING THE VOLUME UP AND POWER BUTTON TOGETHER. Hold for 10 seconds at least
Nothing happened. So i didnt get the flashing menu or mode on screen
Then i put unplugged the phone, put the battery back in, and tried again, suprisingly the LG Logo came up, but now it hung there.
Removing the battery...
EDIT: I removed the battery, now working good. Hopefully this dumb sH*t wont happen again. Beautiful phone. Hope this solved everything
If not, try doing a hardreset maybe? Hold power + Volume Down Key BUT ONLY IF YOUVE TRIED THE ABOVE METHOD A FEW TIMES. cause all your data will be gone POOF

[Q] Xperia E15i / X8 bricked? No charging.

Battery completely discharged and now the phone does not charge, there is not even LED indicator light. I have tried all suggested button pressing combinations, taking battery out, etc. — to no avail. The firmware is original, without rooting. Charger works fine.
Before the battery discharged, there was a notice on the phone that an update was available — I ignored it while roaming — could that be the problem?
Shall appreciate any suggestions.

Plug it in and leave it for some time. The led takes a little time to light up. If it doesn't work then as long as your charger is ok the battery have died. Either buy a new battery or buy a new phone.

A new phone is, I guess, the best solution... But still I am curious what has happened — are there any geeks up there who know?
