Hello,
I am trying to install CM 10 on my touchpad but it fails before the install is complete. I have been having trouble for a while trying to install CM again after fully resetting my TP. I used to have CM 9 installed but had to reset the TP because I had too many apps moved to the SD card.
I was following the directions from the thread: [ROM] [04/18] How to install jcsullins CM10 Unofficial Preview Builds Edited 4/18/13.
I attached a screenshot of the error that I received while trying to install CM.
Anyone out there able to offer advice on how to remedy this situation?
Thank you!!!
Fixed it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Please disregard my noob request.
I fixed this by using ACMEuninstaller and reinstalled using the remove CM and then install CM batch files. I can't believe it took me so long to find this website and its awesome resources and user advice. Thanks to all who contribute and helped me fix my touchpad. I have very much missed using Android on it.
Cheers!!!

Just installed the latest nightly of CM7. When I try to install gapps it goes to the bootloader and the progress bar fills maybe a third of the way, and then the phone reboots but none of the apps are on it. I've tried flashing from rom manager, and ive tried installing a market apk, but neither worked. Help, please?
Several people on cm7 have been having this issue lately especially with rom manager nightly update integration. If you read up on cm7 q&a sticky or development thread you may find a post that could help you. As I said several people have reported same issue and several people have tried to help. Check it out.
Hi,
I am newbie to Android and got a streak 7 which was installed with HC ROM according to your guide here(Thanks for the super guide). Then I had to restart the tablet using the reset button as it got stuck. Since then Gmail App is continuously crashing and lot of other apps are not working properly.
Is there a way to reinstall Honeycomb again in to the tablet? Any help is greatly appreciated.
You can follow the installation process that you already used to install HC over your current build. I have done multiple reinstalls on other devices with out any issues.
Good luck.

Before you do the reinstalling, tried to do a factory reset to see if that will solve your problem. It may save you a lot of trouble.
Thanks
Thanks otnos
It worked. Thank you. Thanks all of you

Hybrid install problems
I have a Nook HD+ installed with CM10.1 using Hybrid SD/EMMC method by bokbokan described in this thread. It worked reliably for more than 6 months, but has recently started randomly rebooting. I tried updating to the most recent kernel in this thread (cm-10.1-20131230-UNOFFICIAL-ovation), but that hasn't helped. I have also started to notice "process com.google.process.gapps has stopped" errors; these seem to have started about the same time as the random reboots, but I'm not certain the problems are related. Can anyone suggest how to resolve these problems, random reboots in particular?
If the source of the problem can't be identified, I'll need to re-install. If I do so, I'd like to do another hybrid install.
What is currently the most stable hybrid version? (leapinlar recently recommended CM10.1.3, but it's not clear whether this is for a hybrid install.) Is there a corresponding installation tutorial thread for this version?
Is it possible to backup my setup and restore after re-installation? (Some discussion above about having to restore with the same CWM used to make the backup seems to suggest this is not possible, but perhaps there's a different method?) If it is possible, where can I find detailed instructions?

Did you install any new apps just prior to the occurrence of these problems? If so you might want to temporarily uninstall them so see if that helps.
Otherwise you might consider "wiping /cache" from CWM recovery.

If you currently enable Google Playstore auto-backup/restore then your current Playstore apps should be automatically downloaded once you sign in to the Playstore on your new ROM. The apps' data and settings however will not be auto-restored. You can use a backup app such as Titanium BU to backup the apps' data and settings.
CWM's backup is typically used to backup the entire system & data partitions of your current ROM, and not simply your current setup, hence it defeats the purpose of your clean re-installation. It's only a useful backup if you're not happy with the results of the re-installation and want to go back to the current ROM. It's also not clear how CWM backup would work for a hybrid SD ROM setup.

I may well have, but it's sufficiently long ago that I don't really have an idea which apps to try uninstalling.

Does wiping the cache remove any important app data/settings?

Understood. Thanks for the explanation.
Any advice on which CM version to use if I need to do a re-install?

No, it should not affect any data/setting that is meant to be persistent.

It's been nearly a year since I last used any of the three available SD-based ROMs (verygreen's, bokbokan's, and succulent's) so I don't really have a recommendation that is current, but as I recall the three ROMs were fairly comparable in features/performance/UI.
FWIW I have been running official CM11 (currently M12 build) on my HD+ emmc and am very happy with it.
I installed cm version 11-20141122 unofficial bok-hummingbird on my nook hd last week and it seems to be running pretty well overall. But I am unable to sing on the Kobo Android reader app. I have an account but I can't get to the sign on because it doesn't detect the internet connection, although wireless/internet is working fine with other apps. I though a cm upgrade might help for that issue, and I wanted to update in general if that is recommended. Can i do that from the tablet or do I have to copy a file onto the nook hd and install it, similar to how i installed this version? I couldn't see anyway to do this through the tablet settings. Finally, are there any developer options recommended to generally soup up performance? Thanks

Your on unofficial cm11. So updating won't be available in settings unless they made it available that way. (I assume that the official updates are disabled in settings or they could be flashed over the unofficial rom your on).
Unofficial roms may be downloaded the same as you did, downloaded through an app if supported, downloaded through the web browser, etc. Your choice how you do it.

Since you're running bokbokan's SD-based ROM build you'd need to look for and get the ROM update from bokbokan. When the update becomes available, just download the updated ROM zip file to your HD, then (re)-boot to CWM recovery to install the zip file.
Hi Guy,
I would really appreciate some help in resolving two issues I have on my Samsung Galaxy S2, yes I know its old, but it was given to me for FREE.
I have recently updated my phone to CyanogenMod 13.0-20161211-NIGHTLY and immediately, I realised that neither my Xposed Installer or SuperSU work. The update for the Xposed Framework v80-sdk23-arm.zip, that had previously worked on any CM NIGHTLY Updates, but once I use the same update, I am faced with a bootloop and therefore need to Restore from Backup. Whereas, SuperSU v2.46 has not worked for as long as I can remember, possibly all CM NIGHTLY Updates 13.
I have search the forum for the correct versions I require to get both these apps to work correctly and with getting a Bootloop once I have updated.
Please can anyone point me in the right direction.
Thanks in advance.
Try using V87. If it has the November 5th security patch it needs this version.
Also with cyanogenmod nightly it comes pre-rooted in the developer section so no need for Superuser
Cheers dude, for the advice.
I ended up wiping everything and restarting a fresh.
