[Q] How to change the default values of the brightness of the screen?

The minimum brightness of my ROM is still strong, I wanted to know if you have to change the system values to decline further

Which ROM? You might have the ultra-brightness setting ON.
Even if it shows as disabled, try enabling and disabling it again. If you see a huge difference, you've got your answer. Sometimes this option is enabled at each boot, so beware.
Re: [Q] How to change the default values of the brightness of the screen?
Hw-config from system/etc
Better to read some advanced guide cause it's a bit hard.
Tip: you can always change defaults in cyanogen settings / screen settings (can't remember the destination)if you wanna cook rom you can grab saved preference from root/data & put them in a patch.Zip file(easiest way)

are you using stock ROM
if Yes, just go setting > brightness to adjust your brightness
else you can try other rom posted by developer

Nope, I'm using uniQue ROM
And I know that auto-brightness reduces brightness a little bit, so I use the maximum.
So, I was wondering If there is a MOD to increment that brightness.
( an example; I had an Xperia Neo, and its screen brightness was too poor, and I found "Disable Auto Brightness Xperai", and solved my problem )
Thanks!

[Q] How to reduce the light brightness of my TX without filter app?

Hi, I want to reduce the light brightness of my TX lower than that of manual. My rom is rooted LT29i 9.2.A.1.205 4.3.
I tweaked framework-res.apk
framework-res \res\values\integers.xml
<integername="config_screenBrightnessSettingMinimum">1</integer>
<integername="config_screenBrightnessSettingMaximum">245</integer>
<integername="config_screenBrightnessSettingDefault">60</integer>
<integername="config_screenBrightnessDim">1</integer>
But It doesn't seem to work. What can I do? If I need to tweak another system APPs?
The last line is what dims your screen before it turns off automatically. I suggest leaving this one the way it was.
Also, most likely these lines only work for manual brightness, not the automatic one.

Thanks for your answer:good: I just want to know how to reduce the minimum of manual brightness. I tweaked those values, but it didn't seem to work. I didn't change the values of auto brightness, however, The minimun of manual brightness is always brighter than that of auto brightess.
I think the drivers of display brightness are in the kernel
So your changes had no effect

Lowering Minimum Brightness Setting

Hello! I want to go straight to the point:
I'm on Resurrection Remix 5.5.9 (CM 12.1 based) and I want to lower the minimum brightness available for my phone's screen without an app, has anyone ever had a succesful method to achieve this? I do have root access and kernel settings access but I can't seem to find a setting to get what I want. The stock minimum brightness is good aswell but lowering it will let me have a longer battery life, I suppose...
So, anyone can recommend me to do anything about this? Again I'm underlining it I don't want to use an app
check this out, I hope it'll help. My minimum brightness is slightly lower with this 'mod'.
gravitybox can set minimum brightness to 1

Question regarding increasing the Headphone Volume via mixer_paths.xml

Hi.
This is my first post
I have a rooted Sony XZ1 Compact. and want to increase the headphone volume.
On my old Xperia Z3 compact i could increase the volume by changing values in the root/system/etc/mixer_paths.xml document, namely the values of "RX1" and "RX2"
However, on the new XZ1 Compact there is no document in this folder, bute there is a mixer-paths.xml in root/vendor/etc/mixer_paths.xml but changing the values for RX1, RX2 and changing the values for HPHL or HPHR have no effect on the volume at all.
Does anybody have sucessfully increased their Headphone Volumes by changing the document? Does it not work because it is in the root/vendor/etc/mixer_paths.xml location (different from my old phone)? Do I have to change something else?
Maybe someone could upload a modded xml file?
Thank you very much
