Devices I should theme for? - Android Themes

I have officially started the "Theme Project" which is going to be a bunch of themes for different devices. I currently own the Galaxy Note II for T-Mobile and I already have a Status Bar theme out for that. I know how to theme and plan on theming for multiple devices. I just need some devices to theme for. Any of you guys got a certain theme you would like to see for your device? Comment below and I will definitely start to theme for you guys. Now i do not have that device (obviously lol) so you guys will have to test it.
You can also PM me if you would to.

I am already developing a theme for the HTC One (Sprint) and I can possibly end up working on the Nexus 7. I have a lot of devices people want me to theme for so it will take some time to get everybodies device supported.

[REQ] cm7 themes for ns4g

I know I'm not alone here on wanting themes for our newly ported rom. I for one do not have the time to create any so this message goes out to all of those talented devs and themers. Themes pretty please .
PS. If someone could make a sweet honeybread theme I would be inclined to donate.
Happy Theming

Wont the theme Chooser work once we're using cm7?
If so, all of the existing themes should work, and be easily applied (like the existing honeybread theme)
Sent from my Nexus S 4G using Tapatalk
I've tried most of them but they dont work completely. Either gapps will forceclose or rom manager force closes. Even though its technically the same phone ...its also not.

Why request themes when you know teamdouch is currently in the processing of making cm7 work for your phone....PATIENCE

BTW people with NS4G are using CM7 and theme changer WITH honeybread just fine

Ya, I'm sure those issues will be worked out soon, if any. I'm not an expert, but i would imagine that the difficulties they were having with the status bar (in systemui.apk) might be related.

What the hell are you talking about? ThemeChooser is universal... the themes don't have to be changed to work on the Nexus S 4G. And I also know this because I have texted them. If it doesn't work, you're doing something wrong.
So installing an apk into the themer...and then the themer saying that the theme isn't made for the phones size and to apply it anyway AND THEN force closing all over the place....let me know if I didn't install an apk correctly

Themes

Hey guys. I used to make themes for the Droid X went to WP7 and recently got the Revo and plan on making some for this phone. They are probably going to be basic no XML edits just image swaps and what not but they usually were very clean and un cluttered. Keep an eye out. the first one will be a ICS theme and hopefully afterwards I'm going to try and make the Nex Theme that a dev made along time ago.

Welcome aboard! We got some pretty good themes and themers here who love to work with and help each other. Glad to have another themer on the Revo. Since you've already made themes before, I know I don't have to tell you but I'll say it anyway. Just make sure if you're porting a theme or anything like that, that you give the original themer proper credit in your post. Can't wait to see what you can bring to the table!

Rom Port Request Thread

Hey, guys! I'm making this thread because I will continue to port roms, but only if it is requested. As you can see I've been on a porting spree but now I want you guys to let me know what rom to port (if any). My ports are solely made to provide the experience of a rom until the owner/dev team of that rom officially supports us. All requests that I post will now be permitted by the owner/s. If I am not allowed, i will let you know here.
So if there is a rom you would like ported, leave a comment and I (and perhaps xcoNjA) will do my best to bring it for you. Thanks guys - Michael
****The rom needs to have the same resolution as the S4 and also an arm7 processor...might be able to do it with an arm6 but yeah (so basically, any rom that works on a different S4 I can almost guarantee it can be ported****

Just ran it... I installed it and restored apn's and its good to go. I flashed ktoonsez new TW kernel with it. Man this rom flies.

Thanks again for all the ports. I think I'm less interested in new ports and more interested in the stability of the ones we already have, And don't get me wrong. They're running great already. At this point, if we're able to get 3g and 4g, along with mms working like a stock rom, then I will definitely use them as daily drivers.

Josh will never let that one fly.
I know this is asking a TON, but Firefox OS would be absolutely awesome to try on this phone. Mozilla has some documentation on how to build it, but I am not advanced enough quite yet.
Not really expecting data to work, of course. Just a proof of concept and actually trying it on phone software would be awesome.
Then again, I could be completely off base and it could be impossible to flash like you would an android ROM. Who knows.

some themes that works

Hi guys, just had my hand's over the Flex and was running out of theme's which was never a case with G2 or G-pro
but after testing some theme's from the older devices, i found that these are working just perfect.

"stock" doesnt get ported to any nexus device, since they run "stock" default. to port sense to a nexus is extremely hard as it needs htc's framework, and if it does happen it would be partially if any bit at all. this will take lots of time and effort! and considering sense is not open source, you will not have any direct access to its code. anyways, considering that people are still trying to port the last version of sense, i wish you good luck.
I encourage all development but this might be quite difficult with closed sources and the framework. If XpLoDWilD can hack into the snap dragon processor and enable always listening from the low powered core then this is possible as well. I doubt devs of that caliber will focus on porting sense to a specific device non htc device though.
Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
well, you need damn good smali and hex knowledge, as you need to modify the bootstrap in a special lib and add support for s800 ://
it is possible but hard to achieve (well, last word is maybe incorrect, im sorry for that )
Best regards,
OldDroid
I doubt that you will ever see it happen. Which is too bad because of all of the different overlays Sense is by far the best. Unfortunately HTC is not particularly forthcoming with the source code for, well....anything. Having come from the Amaze (Ruby) HTC proved to be very difficult to deal with.
this would be amazing.. loved sense 6 the second I saw it.. but it would be great even if I got a kind of launcher at least. Stock android is great too
Sent from my Nexus 5 using xda app-developers app
Sense is closed source.
They are releasing blinkfeed in the playstore in the coming weeks/ months. You could easily download a sense like launcher and icons. I did play with the newest m8 at the ATT store and I can say I was very impressed. You could also make the clock widget in zooper, combine all that with blinkfeed and you have yourself an almost sense experience.
Go buy the "new" HTC One

It's possible, but it would be extremely difficult and would require reverse engineering of the libs and some binaries, as well as likely needing a fully modified kernel and ramdisk. By the time it got fully stable, if it ever did, we would probably be at the release of sense 7.

Good job! I came here to link to that thread.
For anyone confused by the title, check out this post in the thread.
In my several years on XDA, I've seen a few attempts to port OEM skins (usually Sense and Touchwiz) to devices from other manufacturers. Of those attempts, exactly zero of them were successful. As much as I'd like to see this (and I would - Sense is actually pretty awesome), it's just not going to happen.

This is really cool, and I hope it ends up working. As of right now, it's only partially functional, which is about as far as most of these ports get.
Don't get me wrong - I'm pretty excited about the possibility of this. It's just that I've seen a lot of these before, and they always end up going dead after a promising start. Here's to hoping this one is different.
