The stock email app from HTC one doesn't show smime.p7m attachment when receiving an encrypted and/or signed email.
Messages appears to be completely empty.
Is there a way to access the attachment ?

Hey guys. So I was in terminal deleting the stock apps that I don't need to have and one of those apps which I deleted was the stock messaging app, I did this because I was using hancent. Well now I am not receiving text messages
- It all started after I deleted the stock app, I am not sure if it started immediately after or a while after
- I was using handcent and I noticed that I was getting the pop up received thing and the quick reply option but in the actual handcent app under each conversation the incoming message was not there.
- I then switched to chomp sms to see if that would fix it. Now I am not getting the quick reply popup message received (in chomp)
Are there any suggestions to fix this or knowledge about this topic? Do you need to have the stock messaging app inorder to have other messaging apps work? Oh ya, outgoing messages still work.
When receiving an MMS or business card/contact attachment, where does the attachment save to? It says saved when you select it after opening it from the message, but not where to. Also, I am using GO SMS and the attachment completely dissapears from the text after opening not giving me the option to view or save, even after playing around in settings, and I have to go into my stock message app.
Any ideas?
Mine go to /sdcard/gosms/download/

Hey guys!
Recently, I bought an HTC One and because I'm switching from a Nexus device, I installed as many stock Android apps as possible from the Play Store.
Including the stock SMS app, which seems to bring some problems:
1. Even after disabling notifications inside the Sense SMS app, it still has influence on the unread counter. My new android stock SMS app now always shows a "(1)" on its icon, even if there are no unread messages. After starting the sense stock messaging app once, the counter disappears ...but only till a new message comes in.
2. I often get a "message not sent" notification when using the android stock SMS app, but the message is being sent though. Some seconds later the message is marked as sent and everything is okay (Transmission report is active).
Do you have any ideas how to fix these issues? The easiest way would be to disable the sense messaging app, but I'd like to leave my bootloader locked for a while, so I'm looking for a solution without having root.
Bump
Any ideas?
Is there a way I can group text with the stock app? when I try it sends it to them individually and it's not a group. I tried go sms pro but it's a little slow
Do I have to root my Z to be able to get group texting?
I know the S4 users can send group texts with no problem to other users and iphones as well
In the field where you enter the contact name you want to message. Just click after the comma and start typing another name.
Or click the icon to ad contacts then just tick the boxes of all the contacts you want to send to.

Well it shows as a group text but it doesn't really send it in the same thread. It sends it individually to them. It's just like mass texting, I want GROUP texting
Group txt is not native in Android until 4.2. I think the sg4 ships with 4.2 which is why it has it. T-Mobile has not released the 4.2 update for the Z but I don't know about other carriers holding the update back . I've been using Textra and it works fine for group txt. I am noticing a few times the app will not download received picture messages and it does not update the threads if you send or receive picture messages with other apps. Meaning the default messaging app won't show the pictures in the message threads when they are sent or received with Textra and if you send the picture in the default app then the thread in Textra doesn't show them.

oh ok thanks for the response!
hmm actually I got 4.2.2 on my Z and still doesn't let me enable group texting on stock message app
I have a stock, Sprint HTC One M7 running Android 5.0.2 & HTC Sense 6.0.
Has anyone had the problem where a 3rd party messaging app (Google Messenger, Pulse, etc.) is not storing and providing notifications of incoming messages? Almost daily, I have instances where people will send me a text, and I get no notification from the 3rd party app. If I go into HTC Messages, I do see those texts, but again they are not storing in the 3rd party app. I do not have HTC Messages set as the default app.
I did communicate with one developer and he thinks the HTC Messages is not writing properly to the internal database. I'm guessing other messaging apps pick up the messages from a single database, then show a notification? I'm still stock, so I can't disable HTC Messages.
Any suggestions to solve this?
Thanks for your time,
Eric
