[Q] Dev Edition firmware update - One (M7) Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

If the Developer Edition comes with unlocked bootloader, what is required to receive a firmware update? Do you have to relock? And if so do we have to unlock it through HTC Dev?
And does anyone have a stock zip of the
Developer Rom to flash back to stock?

[Q] Just a question guys

hi all, anyone seen the new cyan vivo x rom? it says that i have to be s-offed, while i only have an unlocked bootloader via htcdev. i did flash ice cold and project x already, but those roms did not state that i had to be s-offed specifically. so is it okay if i just flash the cyan vivo x rom and fastboot flash the boot.img file?
If you are S-off then no need to flash boot.image. directly flash the ROM in your recovery.
If you are S-on, then flash a ROM first and then flash boot.image.

[Q] Can I install this ROM with locked bootloader?

Hello,
Am I able to install ROMs that are stock based if I do not have unlocked bootloader?
I am specifically talking about this ROM: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2180208
Thanks!
I don't think so,maybe later the dev will release a version for locked bootloader.

Okay thanks for the quick answer.
I just got confused because I checked this thread about ROMs
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2171958
And on the first 3 it specifically mentioned [Unlocked Bootloader] and the 4th did not say that, so I figured I might be lucky^^
Since there isn't a CWM recovery for locked bootloaders yet there is no way to flash ROMs with a locked bootloader. Once there is it will just be a case of flashing the ROM and then the stock Sony kernel.

(help) Updated to htc one version 1.29.651.10

Hello Everyone.
I updated my HTC One to the latest version and now I want to unlock the bootloader and install a custom ROM. My question is can I still unlock the bootloader on the latest version or did they break the unlocking process?
I want to put a custom ROM on there but obviously I do not want my phone bricked. I am NOT new to custom roms but this is my first HTC device.
Thanks for your quick replies.

Why are you hanging out here bro? Head over to the Sprint forums!
Anyway, dont do that! Why not flash OMJ's ROM? There are a couple of bugs, I believe, but they're probably minor.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2467607
Anyway, the only req for taking update is stock recovery. And stock ROM, of course. You can flash the stock recovery.
No need to RUU or relock boot loader.
