CM10.1 by AntiBillOS or CM10.1 by rohan007
So what's the difference? What's more stable?
Why are there actually two devs working on the same thing separately?
There are actually three..... rohan007, AntiBilliOS and Erickas.
All of them are working together and helping each other. Its just that they decided to present two separate builds however, rohan007's builds are more updated, fast and offer greater performance.

Guys, plz tell which is latest or updated Official AOKP or Owain's Kang 2 AOKP ?
Which should i use ?
I think both versions are the sme, but I didn't really check. However owain's topic is now closed.

They are de completament different versions, I'm trying to AOKP, I can tell you that it is very smooth thanks to the nova launcher, but unfortunately there is a big battery drain.
I prefer original CM9-KANG by owain.
plus ReloadedICS IU here: http://rootzwiki.com/topic/20115-cm9mod-reloaded-ics-v14-031112-cm9-ui-enhancements-all-phones/
I use owains aokp and have to say its very smooth and stable. No probs so far. By the way im waiting for his new build (kang 19)...
Edit: the battery drain is not so heavy on my device.. do u use the stock Kernel?

hi guys. Is cm10 good for daily use? i mean does it have lots of bug? or its like cm9 nightly?
It's fine for daily use, not as stable as CM9 but it's significantly smoother. Personally I prefer DerTeufel's release over stock CM10 since it includes a separate partition for /datadata.

Depends on your needs, for me it's stable enough for daily usage but I don't use it a lot. Currently I'm using CM10 alpha from pawitp, its very smooth and don't see lots of differences with CM9 in the disadvantage of CM10.

can someone give me a list of ROMs that run on ICS for our SGM?:good:
Just look in dev section, they're all tagged...

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1655981
I recommend AOKP. Mostly everything works in it.
Install CM10, its better than CM9 and more stable :good:
Yes....but its in beta stage yet and lots of things dont work in it.

Ok, I was wondering when cyanogenmod team will release a officially stable version of the 10.1 cm... I'm not talking about the monthly releases, just completely stable like it was for cm10.
Also, is any of the last nightly stable? beacause I was checking the last changelogs and they were kind of long for a nightly.
Is there anyone who knows something about it?
Thanks
First rule in cm is don't ask ETA,
No one know, when stable v.come out we will know then
Sent from my GT-I9000 using xda app-developers app
ok thanks and you know if some of thoose nightlys are stabler than others and what do you think about the monthly release?
Xistance has a good unofficial 10.1 out already in beta. Only fault i can find that bluetooth doesnt work.
Otherwise its stable and is battery friendly.
havent you tried it out yet`?
Mmm...no I have not tryed that version..I will check it now...does it eat ram after a couple of days like cm 10 ?
Sent from my GT-i9000 using xda app-developers app
Is it for i9000 ? I think its only for the galaxy s plus...
Sent from my GT-i9000 using xda app-developers app
I'm using nightly's and they'r pretty good, but after couple of days it's starting to eat the ram..except this, small gallery problems, but it's a good job....hope to see stable soon

this is what i'm talking about when i say that we need to separate the two forums... people are confused and reply i9001 for i9000 and vice versa, this is confusing and may lead to hard brick phones
Hii all,
I am confused between cm, aokp, aosp and pac type rom.
Developers make the rom but they dont explain the advantage/disadvantage of these type of rom.
Can someone explain me what are these, there differences and advantages of each rom?
Thanks Gaurenteed..

well cm means(cyanogen mod) they are devs share their sources and its good one.
aokp means(android open kang project) and also they are devs share their sources and sure its diffrent from cm.
aosp(android open source project) that type google it self make it and share their sources and its the clear android version without any changes just the original view that nexus devices have.
and pac means (paranoid +aopk + cm) that means this kind of roms have the whole those thing above together in one rom and its pretty awsome
and for me i used cm10.1 by biel and use scripts (this make the rom more smooth and more active ) so i used the script by slaid480 and it called(fly on mod) and everyghing work good for me
thats it
hope you understand

I have only used CM(7.2) till now...
But here is what i know/read and can sum up:
•AOSP-Best ones (performance wise). They are most stable since they are official. They are released only after extreme alpha and beta phases... but not as customizable as others.
•AOKP: They are modded versions of AOSP. Customizable. But I have read somewhere that they drain a lot of battery.
•CM: More fast. More Stable. They are the ones that give you unofficial releases of ICS, JB, etc.
•PAC: Its a hybrid. Cant guarantee battery life. But can be awesome if you put it to use in right way.
However, if you are new to flashing, I'd recommend CM 7.2 (further ones are not as stable as 7.2)... Rest can be used after you get hold of things.
But its up to you to decide.
Best Of Luck....
Plz hit thanks if you think this was helpful.

Everyone have different experience with roms...i have same battery life with aokp and cm10.1,but i use aokp as its faster and smoother..aosp is smoother than cm and aokp, but its not customizable.

In simple words,
1) CM offers customisation and control but not as handy as aokp.
2) AOSP roms are the ones that offer no customisation at all unlike cm, aokp etc. They just give you the pure Android experience like your stock rom.
3) Paranoid Android is famously known for bringing tablet like ui on phones with customisation & controls much similar to cm.
4) PAC rom is an integration of all, i.e., aokp, cm and paranoid android.
