[App] Enhanced Email - download from play store - Xperia Z Themes and Apps

Would like to introduce you to the enhanced email, available in play store.
You can choose the black theme and those with exchange don't need to worry about the security settings.
It works like a charm as the stock email apk and calendar will also syn with google.
Edit: it's not a free app.

Saving Attachments

Has anyone worked out how to save an attachment from the Gmail app without a third party app.
I can only preview attachments

Get K9 Mail.
I don't want to use a third party app though
I can't believe Google would create an email app and not think that people might want to save attached files.
Edit
Looks like Gmail doesn't support mp3 attachments

I don't think there is the option to save the attachment, but what I do, I log in to my Gmail account from Web Browser on my phone and then you can save all the attachments.
I know this is not a solution you were looking for, but it's also easier than using a 3rd party app.
Cheers
Will do that until Google sort this out
Hi,
I use GSaver to save my attachments. Search for it in the market. when you choose preview from the gmail app choose gsaver to "open" it and it will prompt you for a location.
Cheers,
Daniel

K9 & corp mail don't launch from contacts

I know when I first got the D3 both k9 and regular mail (not gmail - that still behaves as expected) offered launch icons from contacts, including blur contact widget.
Since rooting & debloating I no longer get the option.
Yesterday I rsd flashed -55 firmware, and now I'm bone-stock (except @ build 55 instead of 20 since we can't flash backards), but I stilll don't get k9 as an option.
Any clues how I can restore K9 mail as an app launch option in contacts?
Thanks!

Not to mention the obvious but you have K9 installed right?

Yes. Installed, reinstalled, etc.
I figured out what it was. Gmail was selected as the default mail app, so that's what comes up. I cleared that setting, now I get a choice of all mail apps when I click on the mail launch icon. Not ideal, but better than before.

Good. I love questions that answer themselves.

I disable Google now on my first use and now I can't enable it I searched and says I should go to Google search app and settings and the toggle should be there but I only have voice, phone search and privacy and accounts. I'm on Omar's rom anyone knows what's going on? Could it be another app I uninstalled?

[Q] Stick with stock calendar app or use Google Calendar instead?

Since getting my Moto X I've been wondering why the calendar app icon is different from what I'm used to with my Nexus devices, and another thread indicates that the stock calendar app is the AOSP calendar, which is different from the Google Calendar in the Play Store. I also noticed that the Google Calendar in the Play Store was updated yesterday with the typical "bug fixes". What are the pros and cons of staying with the stock app or switching to Google Calendar?
The main difference I saw was the newer Google Calendar has a better time selector. I use Business Calendar but recommend the newer Google Calendar over the older AOSP if you're choosing between those two.

You can disable Android calendar in app settings and install Google calendar from Google play store. Don't disable android calendar storage. Just clear data in android calendar storage.
