Does anyone know how to access your picasa pics when sending an MMS. I'd like to send the pic not a link to the pic.
With the old JB gallery, we were able to do this, but with this HTC gallery the option for picasa doesn't show.

has anyone tried posting pics via the Photo Album > Sharing > Facebook method?
I did it yesterday with some pics from the pool. went to check my facebook on the computer later on that evening and noticed a loss in quality....you can notice a transparent "patchwork" also known as "artifacts" (i think). happens from the JPEG compression method.
well unhappy with how it looked i deleted the pics and reuploaded the same photos directly off the SD Card through the facebook website on my computer. the pictures are definitely a lot clearer and better in quality. i would say there's a good 15-20% difference in quality.
i have yet to try it directly through the facebook app.
any way to switch this compression method off via a rooted phone? i would like my pics to show up on my facebook as i see them on my phone...not compressed and clear.

Maybe this has to do with how it sends them. If it is sending them via MMS to facebook, the size limit is 600k so it would have to compress.
If you could upload them to facebook via Email I bet that would work but, I forget if you can upload to facebook via email. Seems plausible.
You can but you have no control of what album its placed in. It's automatically sent to the Mobile photos album. I have a feeling ATT or HTC has it set to compress files to save on data usage. The pics I uploaded were only about 120kb each.

Cannot see any email attachments when receiving photos etc...I see the paper clip icon but no where to view and no option to download...any ideas?

I just opened and excel Spreadsheet no problem. It works like previous WINMO phones- tap the attachment to download and them tap to view.
What format is the pic in? Are u sure it's a picture and not a video?
I copied a picture and pasted it into HTML format email.
Sent it to GMAIL and to my EXCHANGE account.
GMAIL won't download the full picture but does give reference where it came from.
EXCHANGE downloaded the picture perfectly fine. Along with the referencing link from the properties of the picture.
I have Gmail account only, I can see attachment icon in inbox list, but when I click attachment it opens message..is it because of Gmail?
I copy and pasted a photo into a new Gmail message, and sent it back to me and it displayed on my phone just fine.
Same when I sent an e-mail from Gmail to my Hotmail account. Displayed on the phone just fine.
just tried myself, You are correct it does work, the image in question was sent from someone with an Iphone..maybe it attaches images different way?

Well I just sent a photo with my iPod Touch to my Gmail account, checked it on my phone, and it appears as an attachment right under the "To: My Name" here. I just tap it, it downloads, and I can view it.

iPhone pictures not getting downloaded
You are right. I was thinking about the same thing.
I was sent a few emails with pictures of their kid from an iPhone. I did get the email and it does show that there are 2 attachments. But when I tap on the attachments, the link just disappears and the email content is blank. Where as the same email, when I check in my Gmail account, I see the pictures in the body of the mail.
I tested the attachments issue by sending myself a jpeg file, and it downloaded just fine. So, I am not getting the pictures sent via iPhone (to my gmail account).
Can anyone check this?
when pics are to small it happens.. my friend sent me small resolution pics and i couldn't see them email shows the attachments but when click nothing happens.. i tried big pics and works perfectly
Been reports the gmail app has attachment download issues. I tested it again and no go on the download this time. Forwarded the same email to my exhange and it worked fine. Wait for gmail update.

I have a new issue with the Galaxy Note, not sure what is going on. I can't send any attachments other than pictures from the gallery to contacts.
I'm using gmail. I can select attachments (via gmail or via a file explorer), but when I send the email, the recipient gets it without the attachment. So if I select a picture file to send from "root explorer", for example, and send the email, the recipient doesn't get the attachment. If I go into the gallery, select this very same picture and share it via gmail, this time, the recipient receives the picture.
What is going on here? Are those limitations coming from google? I really want to be able to send pdf files from my phone easily and this is just outright annoying !

Version 2.3.6 solves the issue.:good: I wasalso facing the same problem before updating it.

Wondering how Picasa sync works with this phone. I was sending pictures using Hangouts and it seems that when I look in Gallery it shows those pics with the Picasa symbol on it. The problem is that I can't delete it. I have the Picasa software install on my PC and it doesn't even show there. Nor does it show in an app that manages Picasa photos.
Not even sure why those pics were uploaded. I have Google + Photo auto upload turned off...which I don't think is associated with Picasa.
Any insights on this would be appreciated! Thanks.
Did you check your sync settings? Try turning off Picasa Web Uploads.

That does not delete the images. That only removes the syncing from that phone you're using. When you replace it with a new phone, they will show up again. What is the source of those photos? How do you delete them there???
All photos posted in a Google hangout get auto backed up to your Google+ photos. Each hangout conversation should have it's own album in the Photos section of Google+.
If you don't want the photo you are sending to get backed up just turn the "history" off on the chat before you send the photo. You can turn it back on after the photo is sent if you want.

Hello there guys, i just got my Edge, and i cant figure out a way of syncing my facebook contact pictures with my contacts, i know there is the facebook natural option of importing the picture, but the picture's stay blurry , is there any app or option that i can sync with HD picture?
- I used to use "haxsync" but it doesn't work now
