Hi guys, I know there are bulgarians around and they need to use our mother language often on our phones. Sadly from HTC they have chosen a layout that our granddads used on their typewriters, its not the newest one. My point is - is there a way to get a proper htc input with proper bulgarian layout keyboard. Many people have messaged to HTC and the response is - we are working on it. On the newest devices its proper one I know, but for the roms we use is the old one. Is there any way to fix this Thanks in advance.

Hi, I have a Kaiser from UK and i want to use a spanish T9. Can someone help me do this without reflashing a new rom?
Thanks in advanced!!!!!!!1
is there t9 in qwerty keyboards?
as far as i know theres no t9 in qwerty keyboards except for word suggestions after you type a letter but you can activate that going into the menu good luck
That´s very easy. There are lots of freeware solutions!!! just search in this forum or:
Try the Original HTC phone pad (multilanguage) : http://www.gaehn.org/uploads/downloads/Dark_PhonePad_Int.zip
Or try the HTC KeyboardDual Multilanguage:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=344533
After installing one or both, go to Settings/Input, chose the keyboard and change in options the language!
Both are very good. I use them as well!
Or search with google for freeware!!!
Oh joy. Now that HSPL is approaching and there is even a great-looking 6.5 ROM in the offing life is beginning to have meaning again (how sad that sounds).
Could anyone tell me what the situation with keyboard drivers on Rhodium is? While I absolutely want an English OS I would hate to loose my Scandinavian "ÅÄÖ" characters on the HW keyboard. On the Kaiser there was a small driver that had to be nstalled each time I got a new ROM. I'm guessing it will be the same for Rhodium? Is anyone with more IT competence than me (=anyone ) given this any thought at all?
Thanks/M
please note, that layout is different, i had this problem with touch pro first version, i had to use some addons created to have the layout for finnish
version.
You just need to change the layout as execine said. Sometimes you have to add the layout if a prebuilt one does not exist. I am sure it can be ripped from an official rom for your country of origin.
well if really WM sucks in this area, I need at least 2 languages - and layout changing will not help at this situtation - because these languages have totally different chars.
why it's so hard for microsoft to make ADD KEYBOARD like it's done in windows XP?
lol it's version 6.5, how much more releases they have to done - just before they'll do this pretty simple feature?
It actually does exist. My sisters old Wing had it. Talk to aserg and ask him how he did it. I don't know. He had a way to use 2 different hardware keyboard layouts by hitting a softkey.
yes, it exist. e.g. at rhodium russian edition there are special button even at hardware keyboard, to change layouts. but if you want to use it at your locale you need to hack it. becuase there is no easy way to activate it on another rom. all others solutions mostly works for virtual keyboard - and this way you'll get new visual design - what I don't want to do, and others just for hw keyboards - what is not ideal either

Except my sisters device was an US device....
This thread has a hardware keyboard mapping utility. You can even have it run at startup. All that needs to be done is to create a custom layout file for the Scandinavian TP2.
Hi all,
I want to start by saying that this forum has been very helpful to my in customising my GT-I9000, and I want to thank you all for this help. I have had a Galaxy S for about a week and I am really liking the flexibility of this phone. But without your efforts, there would not be near as much flexibility.
So I have a question about language support across different firmwares. It requires a little explanation, so I apologies in advance if it is a bit too much text. I use linux a fair bit, but I am new to Android so I dont know many of the details of the system yet. I am a n00b, however, I want to show that I actually put effort into what I want to do instead of just asking for someone else to do it for me from the beginning.
I would like to have the ability to send SMS in Hebrew from the SGS native messaging software. I find no problem inputting in Hebrew using various Keyboards such as AnySoftKey. However, the sms is received as a series of question marks. I guess it is a lack of character support, probably somewhere between typing the text in Hebrew, and the phone transmitting it across the networks.
I could install a firmware from an Israeli network as they have Hebrew input on their firmware versions. However, these are not very up-to-date and I would rather use a newer firmware (I have JPX with Darky's Gingerbread 6.0 mod, which is very up-to-date ).
I want to take it step by step, so I think I should start with the Keyboard input.
AnySoftKeboard works well for Hebrew input, and the text it makes works in all apps except the Messaging app (although it looks just fine on my side). But Perhaps the Samsung Keyboard would work?
I have looked at this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=796854
It describes methods of porting Keyboards from one firmware version to another. This is specific to porting the Eclair keyboard to Froyo.
So I tried to apply this logic to my needs. But I have difficulties knowing which firmwares have Hebrew language input support, yet alone a keyboard that is compatible with JPX. I tried with the keyboard from firmware I9000JHJP8 (only one I am sure has Hebrew support), but the porting following the instructions in the thread did not work. I am sure with some trial an error (and probably lots and lots of error ) I would eventually be able to get it to work.
So before I start trying to get it to work, I would like to know if you think that changing the keyboard would make any difference, or, if the problem lays somewhere else?
Thanks in advance for the help.
Hey. I hate to bump this but its gone to many pages from the first.
I wont bump again as I guess there may be no answer for this question.
Still Should I bother trying to convert the keyboard as i suggested above?

Hi All,
I am getting tired with Window Mobile because it's so slow on respond and I am not sure is everyone feel the same or just me so I seek for other alliterative option which I can find on internet and I come across this site and after month of investing time into this website, I have manage to download xdandroid FRX04 complete and boot up without any hassle But that rise another issue. I can not type any Chinese when using XDandroid. Reply sms to all my friend live in South Africa is no problem. But with all the friend who live in Taiwan and China.....such a mission because I need to restart my phone and let it boot into window mobile so I can type Chinese for all my asia friend.....
Does anyone know how to fix this or is there a solution?
One more thing. Since I am new therefore I can not post in the Xdsandroid section so I hope this doesn't cause too much problem. If does. Please let me know any I will remove this thread.
Thanks.

I found out how to fix the problem. After boot up into Android go into market and search IME and you can find all sort of input.
Hope whoever has the same problem and didn't know how to fix can help you.
Problem on Chinesi "pinyin input" program
Hi All,
I use HTC topaz device(HTC Diamond 2 - T5353),I followed author's advice and successfully flashed XDAndroid (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1178546),which took some time and effort.
To my disappointment, when I reboot XDAndroid and set input method, the "google pinyin input" program is denied, which means I can only use "android keyboard"!!! But I am a Chinese! The "android keyboard" provides many western style keyboard for input except for Chinese.:crying: Even though I select "google pinyin input" by pressing the input box for a while, there's no keyboard showing up for inputting!!! I also tried to install other input applications, but just as "google pinyin input",neither of them can work properly. So, by now I can only input non-Chinese word through "android keyboard"
Can anyone explorer the reason and provide a solution? I appreciate your great help very much!!!
PS: Since my level is not high enough in the forum,I have to pose my problem in "Q&A".
I've wondering if there's anyway or mod or guide available that I can embed Japanese IME into HTC One's Stock keyboard?
As I prefer the stock keyboard over the keyboard available in the play store, however, HTC's stock keyboard has never add Japanese language IME into it.
So, anybody could lead me to somewhere there?
Were you able to find anything out? I just bought a used HTC One, changed the system language to Japanese no problem but saddened to see the lack of Japanese in the keyboard list There are so many others... I really like the stock keyboard and would like to stay with it instead of going back to the Google IME.
Anyone know a way?
