Specifically a kernel that allows us to use the HTC logo as a capacative button. Similar to something like this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2244620
Nice would like the logo as menu part

Kernel source hasn't been released yet. And only the very top portion of the HTC logo can be used as button

Ah I didn't know the Kernel for the sprint phone hadn't been released yet. I thought I saw that one of the custom roms had an altered kernel so I just thought it was released. I still think I would prefer to have the top of the HTC "button" working as a menu button than the onscreen menu button.
Yeah. He explained it to me. Apparently it's not like a legit custom kernel, but one portion of the kernel package is edited.

The issue is the international will get it first. And while sprint will most likely recieve it before any other US carrier, we will still be raging jealous of the international guys.
Sent from my HTCONE using xda app-developers app
Yeah I wonder if it's going to be released to Sprint, and then they will take their sweet ass time loading their crapon on it.
Sent from my HTCONE using xda app-developers app
It doesn't matter who gets it first. The international One is so close to the Sprint One that we can have it running in a matter of minutes.

Semi correct. If it changes too much it will actually break features, and 4.2 is a large change so itll definitely be a minute

Not with the project I've been working on. The port should be fairly simple. A minute was an exaggeration, but you get the idea.

I love Blinkfeed. I literally catch myself using 4-5 times a day
D3rped out Beastmode! HTC ONE!
At first I felt like it was too cluttered and too random and unimportant a bit of info. But now I find myself checking it when I'm on the can for my morning constitutional. Not bad, I suppose.
I want to like it, but I wish they would shrink the font so headlines aren't cut off so often. It's like a bad version of Flipboard
Try only picking one source under the highlights tab...there is a lot of content from every source ..blinkfeed just shows you the highlight stories..aka the sources top story
Sent from my HTCONE using xda app-developers app
i know i def tend to check it when i'm bored but for me alot of the same stories show up from different sources
I also like Blinkfeed a lot and find myself using it 3-4 times a day, especially during my commute. There was that one incident involving a picture of my girlfriend that I wish never happened, but I've since learned to be much more careful..
I guess I'm just too "Old School." I don't like Blinkfeed at all. I prefer to simply go to the individual sources for my info.
I like it myself . Just wish it had more feeds.

i would have loved it...if it was removable...and not tied on to the homescreen!

My only gripe is that I wish you press the back button or have some option to quickly get back to the top of the feed once you're at the bottom.

Jmz, now that we have the kernel from HTC, does this open the door to ROM ports like CM and others, or are we still waiting on other required bits?

Very true. But then again the so-called "carrier testing" seems to make up for all the speedy initial builds.

I know that this is an older thread, and that I'm kind of dragging up the dead, but... Was there ever any progress on getting this ROM ported over to the m7spr (or something comparable?) Last I heard, someone was working on it, but then it kind of died down... I really liked the look of this one.
