Does anybody know how to prevent auto update of Google Play store? This new 4.0 version is not in my style and I would like to stay with older version.
Titanium Backup has "Market Tools". One of these tools is "Market Auto Updates" which presents a list of all your apps with their checkboxes for auto-updates. You can sort the enabled apps to the top, and you can "deselect all" to disable automatic updating for all apps

"Market Auto Updates" tool is available only in TB premium, so this solution is not for me.
Any other ideas?

Future releases may require mandatory updates; reverting to the older version might be temporary at best.

Hello everyone! I have stupid question: Is there any way to update via android market applications that are not installed from the market? I am sure many of you out there have outdated apks that needs to be updated. So you install an apk and if it is outdated, market app should find it and update with the latest version existing in the market
Like i said maybe a stupid question
If an app is on the market then it will update .If its not from the market then it will not update unless updating is built into the app .

You may need to go into Settings -> Applications and find the Market and do a "force close" and then a "clear data".
The next time you open up the market it should rebuild the list of 'installed apps'.

Hello i use aTrackdog for that https://market.android.com/details?id=com.a0soft.gphone.aTrackDog.
you can edit settings to find from market or atrackdog database
THIS IS FOR ANDROID 6.0+ ONLY!!!
This is mod I use on my LG V10.
Package was originally created as an add-on for Eliminater74's Rom.
I just ported it over as a flashable zip for my use but I figured I'd share.
Put zip on your external sd card and flash from twrp.
You will get a few "BlackBerry services not working " in the beginning but they will soon go away after some usage. These apps were on the BlackBerry Priv and are pretty useful especially the Hub. If there are some apps you don't like, just uninstall or freeze with titanium backup.
There is a launcher, contacts, calendar, bbhub, password keeper..... just a bunch of stuff.
Enjoy

Do you use titanium backup? If so, under preferences you can use market doctor to attach app links to play store and that should help. But, j700h is outside the U.S.? That might be the issue but I can't say for sure. Try market doctor and let me know please.
Thanks.

You lost me there. What non- rooted apps?
- Just looked it up. Didn't even know about that page. So did you use the BlackBerry manager as described?

Yes, installed the Blackberry Manager by Colbalt and it lets you install all the apps.
I prefer however downloading the folders from Colbalt (just check one of the previous posts on the thread) and install the apps I like (blackberry hub, calendar and keyboard) -the rest are just average (contacts on MM is way better than that of BB)

I installed both modules from magisk but still get the video ads in YouTube... What am l doing wrong?
You have to uninstall stock YouTube updates, disable auto update in Play Store, flash the module, then open the regular YouTube, it'll show up as Vanced.
And don't use the dark theme.
Thanks, I don't know how to install stock updates... I Uninstalled from the play store and reinstalled with the auto update box unchecked... But how will I know for sure that Vanced is enabled? Will it say that anywhere in the app?
I've used older versions of youtube vanced in the past without issue, but lately I haven't been able to get the magisk and rooted versions working. Now instead - I disable stock youtube (or uninstall using Titanium Backup), uncheck stock Youtube's auto-update, reboot phone, install microg and then install the non-rooted vanced's apk. Then I'll see an app called "Youtube Vanced."

Go to play store, find YouTube, hit the uninstall button. It won't completely uninstall it, then reboot, and vanced should be working :good:

Ah gotchya. Personally, I've never tried that method you mentioned. I don't like any of my apps to auto-update because sometimes it messes with my themed apps until the developer updates the theme. Thanks for the tip though :good:

stopped working for me. So i unchecked the module rebooted. cleared cache both types. Then disabled. Then reached magisk module, then rebooted then went to play store and clicked uninstall then open. Working perfect now.

"Google latest update" - which app, maybe Google app or what?
Go to Settings, Apps, find that app and either Uninstall (if possible) or Uninstall updates
You can go to www.apkmirror.com, search for the same app and find, download and install an older version (they have history with all previous versions)
By the way, what is the problem, are you maybe on some custom ROM, etc

Huh? You can officially install Google Play Store on CN version. Go to Settings > System > Google Play Services - turn on.
Then install Google Play Store apk.

Yes, but they've blocked/firewalled most of the GMS and rendering the Play Store useless within China. All of the cn phones have their own alternatives.

Kinda confusing... are you currently in China? If so, then yes, Play Store is blocked in that country.
If you are outside of China (anywhere in the world) and using CN ROM, there is NO issue with using GMS and Play Store after installing the necessary Google apps. It is not bloked/firewalled whatsoever without the need to convert to Global ROM.

Motorola is generous in including the GMS. Even then there are some services still prohibited/missing from the phone like voice matching and android auto, which cannot be simply solved by installing apks.

The voice matching is not working because Motorola installed their own voice assistant (LeVoice) using the hotword "hello moto".
I can simply install Android Auto apk and it works flawlessly.

Hey there
When you say andorid auto works flawlessly, did you need to root the device? I have the x30 pro cn version and i have android auto install but never worked. I get the error 22 because the android auto is not a system app. Did you do anything for it to work? Or just installed the app?
