I know this has been an issue with other phones, but so far haven't seen anyone post about this issue for this phone. First time really using bluetooth with my Voyager Pro HD, and the audio was so horrible that I had to shut off my headset and use the phone itself. The popping and cracking made it almost impossible to understand anything. I've had this headset for a while so I know the issue isn't with it. I've tried rebooting and enabling/disabling bluetooth and restarting the headset. Anyone else with this issue?
I'm using a Jawbone ICON HD and haven't noticed any unusual noises.
Wondering if it's hardware related then. I have the raised glass and gaps so if it continues with the bluetooth that may be my excuse to exchange it.

During calls there comes a moment that people are complaining that they cannot hear me. When i move the jog dial upwards (hence increasing volume) they say that they can hear me ok. I have not experienced this using the bluetooth headset. Maybe a hardware problem??
By the way i used 5 different radios and upgraded also to 6.1.
Anyone experiencing this?
Any solution?
Thanks

did you send it for this reason?
well my mic was buggered
people would say one min they can here me next they cant
and it would like fade in and out
orange where usless and said they wanted to test it but in the end i went back told them i wanted a new one
and since then i have had no problems
If you can't hear me it means I'm in Parentheses. ))
i guess i have to sent it back then, s*** i have to to revert to original rom now.
anyone else with the problem?
ok you say it is a hardware problem. I did the following: i was speaking continuously for 2 minutes on the mic and i was recording it. When i tried to listen to the recording everything seemed to work excellent. So i guess is not a mic - hardware problem. S*** i am going crazy........
Did you flash with the appropriate radio?
i've had the same problem with my speaker phone; i can hear the calling party; but they cannot hear me; it does not happen all the time; but more often than not (more than 50% of the time).
A person in another forum suggested turning the volume down to half when using the speaker phone so it will work (though it is difficult to hear the calling party when volume is that low).
I know this is unrelated to blue tooth issue; but there seems to be some sort of audio glitch that is similar in both the blue tooth and speaker phone so one has to wonder if there is some type of related root cause to both problems???

when i use bt the problem disappears so i think it has to do with the functionality of the mic?
Well finally after 1.5 month i got back my phone from ACE HELLAS. The problem remains the same although i was told that the microphone and earphone were replaced by new ones. If they are telling the truth and they did change it it means that we are facing a kind of software problem.........
I had the problem, too. I tried dozends of radio roms but problems continued.
After 5 months of trying I repace my VPA Compact V (aka v1615) and now the problem has dissapeared...
So it seems to me that it is a hardware problem of one production run.

I had the same issue with other Win mobiles too. Maybe some issue with the windows to bluetooth?
I suspect so, but no one else has mentioned it in other posts
can anyone shed some light?
I don't have this issue at all, I am using Sony Stereo headsets right now.
The biggest issue for me right now is...after I finished using bluetooth, the phone will be muted until I soft reset. And this is relaly annoying!

No problems here pairing it with my car. Maybe a soft-reset can help?
Yea I'm having this issue with the Motorola i710 headset....only mine disconnects after about 4 minutes into a call....same other issues
I'm having problems too with Bluetooth headset/hands free... I'm using Dell BH200 headset which does stero wireless and hand free calling... When I dial numbers I can hear throught the headset, music plays fine through the headset, however it seems as soon as the phone connects/it goes into sleep it drops the headset and the small ear speaker in the handset works... Its annoying... I'm going to test with platronics hands free tomorrow...
Also, when I make a call, like a few seconds after it connects the phone's screen turns off... I thought it was only supposed to do this when you bring it up to your ear i.e. when light sensor in the ear speaker detects little light..?

I think I solved the problem with muting the phone after using bluetooth: using TF3d configuration tool I disabled the music tab. Now i use wm player for music and, during 1 day ,I had no problem - my phone is not going to mute anymore. Please try this method and post here the result. A lot of Diamond users have this problem and is few topics o the forum related to this.
I'm of course talking about the stock headset that came shipped with the Galaxy S. The earphones work like a charm when plugged to the phone, but if I want to use them with my laptop, the sound I get is very distorted (it sounds like all the bass is minimized and speech is garbled).
The strange thing is that the sound output goes back to normal as long as I am holding the button on the headset. I want to know whether anyone else has had this problem and can help fix this problem.
I know this problem isn't exactly related to the phone, but I couldn't find anywhere else to seek a solution.
It is a known issue. Headsets for Galaxy have swapped ground and mic lines (in relevance to most common headsets), so this is the reason...
Yeh. Same layout as nokia n97 headsets. Annoying

Hi all, Someone have this problem?
I'm facing this 'no sound in call, only speaker call/earphone works' issue.
Even for media playback there is no sound in loudspeaker mode(Mx player, Youtube app,radio..) but earphones work.
So I'm trying to factory reset it won't work.
Thanks in advance for any help / advice you can off!

Wow, l am Nexus 5 owner and I have exactly the same fault. No fix as yet on the nexus. Was thinking about the moto x and came to check what issues the phone has. I suspect this is a universal android bug. I have done some googling and found at least half a dozen phones with this issue. It's like a virus.
Sometimes this can be caused by a defective headphone plug, tricking the phone into thinking something is plugged in when it's not.
Hey! So I have a really weird problem with this phone... Which i originally thought was a hardware problem, but I think I just confirmed that it's not. I will try to explain it:
Noteworthy Items:
1. Long phone calls
2. Wired headsets (I've tried at least 6 different earbuds)
3. This happened to me with the base MIUI, and a custom rom
I spend a good part of my phone time on phone calls, and from time to time, the person on the other line will tell me that they're not hearing audio from my earphone's mic anymore, but rather from the microphone on the phone (particularly like a speaker phone call). If I plug my earphones out and back in again, this fixes it. During this time, if I run my hand over the proximity sensor, my screen will go dark as if I was on call without headphones but all sound is still processing through my earbuds (I hear my caller fine). I installed a custom rom less than a week ago, and I'm still having the same issue so I thought it was hardware-related.
However, today I decided to do something different... I ended the call, and called back without touching any of the hardware (I didn't plug out my earphones or touch the connection in any way) and this fixed the audio issue. I did this three times already to make sure it wasn't a fluke. I'm very confused as to what could be causing this issue. Any ideas?
To confirm, I've used different earbuds but I've never tried to replicate this using wireless earphones (because I don't have any). The issue also happens more commonly if I'm moving too much (this is originally why I thought it was hardware related). If I keep still, or my phone doesn't move, I have this issue less frequently. If any other info is needed, I'm happy to provide, and happier for any help I receive. Thanks!
yea, I also have the same issue. I tried many solutions but still problem persist. has anyone got any solution?
