There is No black rose kernel. Change to 4ext recovery, wiping all partition and than flashing will resolve that. If not re download the ROM and check md5 checksum.

Blackrose is actually not a kernel but a hboot. You should be able to have both Blackrose and tesco kernel installed. You can check your kernel version under system properties in the settings.
The problem probably comes from somewhere else. What message does it give when you install the kernel? Do you flash it via fastboot?
Have you tried wiping camera data? If you updated the camera it is likely to force close if you don't wipe it's data. ( settings > apps > camera )

Cheers!
ps#1 I found this radio but im not sure or it be good for me because i dont know enything about important md5 sum and dont want brick my phone

For Ice Cold, best kernel IMO is Kaijura's v4. Its the kernel with best performance and most things working
Radio is not as straight forward, generally I flash the latest for my region/country/network and leave it. But, lately I have been on the new ICS radios from europe and they work fine. GB and ICS radios are cross compatible, DO NOT flash a froyo radio as it will brick your phone.

Yep, download and check that the MD5sum of the downloaded zip is the same as the one on the download page.
You need s-off do to this
Put it on the root of your SD card and boot to bootloader, it will ask to appy the zip

This project is the result of the work done by me, Lexmazter and helped by anders3408.
More credits for this project go to:
-Lloir - helping me build the device tree for CM9 which i used to build the recovery.
-TeamWin and especially Dees_Troy - for making this awesome recovery and for making our work official.
If you are grateful for this work, thank both of us, and the people mentioned there, just for the sake of it.
If you want to contribute or look over the sources we worked on, check here.
FAQ:Q:Is this recovery a touch version of CWM?
No, it is not a touch version of CWM, but it has touch and some other nice stuff.
Q:I have this hboot or that hboot, will this work for me?
Yes, this recovery supports all the hboots available for this device.
Q:Can i flash this or that ROM/MOD/Kernel with this recovery?
Yes, if it doesn't work, it's probably not for our device and the mounting points are not compatible.
Q:Is this better than CWM?
This is a matter of taste, but you could say it's better because it has more features.
Q:From where can i download themes for it?
Check the web if you find themes for the resolution 480x800, if not, recommend them here and maybe we will port them
Q:Why does the pictures above show a different version than the thread title?
The pictures are generic and will be updated only when major changes occur to the recovery.

There is another easy alternative, you unlock bootloader >> install goo manager from Google Play (market), and in goo manager hit settings and install openScriptRecovery, something should appear, hit next, next, ok, ok, apply, apply and there you are

No, CWM-made backups are not compatible with TWRP and TWRP-made backups are not compatible with CWM.
also what i did think backup files is also a diffrent format in twrp than cwm and remeber guys backup can be sized down like if you put something in a zip file only thing is it take a little bit longer but i tested and a normal that filled 700 mb was only arround 350 mb big when using that

sometimes its best to say you dont know mate...............makes you gain respect! lex knew and i know but you shouldnt give answers based n assumptions! i have actually tried this to test a while back and it is not possible. cwm backups and twrp are done differently hence the reason why

I also tested this , as i had multiple backups from CWM 5/6 and TWRP, and stock CWM 6 are not compatible with CWM 5 and others, but CWM 5 are compatible with CWM 6.
Hope this helps
Well that's not a big problem. I'm going to restore previous backups with CWM and then backup again with TWRP. It takes a bit longer, as I have to switch through different recoveries, but then I will have all my backups ported
I have rooted my Incredible S and running it on stock ROM. I rooted it only to achieve 2 way call recording. I searched this forum to do that and as close as I came, I found this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1647303
and it sends to this thread to use a Kernel:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1130350
But it leaves many questions unanswered.
1) I have used CWM recovery. According to this thread I should use 4ext. Is it must ?
2) I am S-ON, will I have to S-Off (I am not sure what it is, I guess its downgrading something) ?
3) Any custom ROM that can be used to gain 2 way call recording without S-Off ?
you can try this app-

yes, poondog is correct, kernel support is needed, i assumed that stock kernel will support it hence said you can try it.
I always used that app with poondog's kangaroo kernel for sense ROMs or Tesco by szezso for CM ROMs (as I understand poondog also added few things in Tesco)

Hello everybody,
I recently bought an HTC ONE and first thing i've done was to unlock the bootloader and install a custom recovery and a custom ROM.
I chose to install CM11 latest nightly but unfortunately after installing it, I discovered that the Camera didn't work and every time I launched the app it displayed a message stating "can't connect to camera". I tried a lot of different camera app and none of them worked.
I then tried CM10.2 stable and OneDroid but the same problem occurred. I also tried different custom recovery like TWRP, CWM and Philz. Of course each time I did a clean install by clearing everything
But when I flash the stock ROM the camera works perfectly.
Do i need to S-OFF to make the camera work? Do i need to modify some thing in the camera's files ?
Please could somebody help me, I hate the stock ROM.

Team7 is the best for that
I just flashed the teaMSeven kernel and rebooted into OneDroid but unfortunately the camera still didn't work.
I then reflashed OneDroid and cleared all caches. After rebooting, the camera still didn't work.
Any idea guys ?
I just put my HTC ONE into S-OFF and tried a bunch of custom ROMs.
CM10.2, CM11, OneDroid have still issues with the camera...
But with "Android Revolution HD 6.0 Google Edition" a custom rom that requires S-OFF, the camera works perfectly.
Unfortunately the KitKat update of the GPE HTC One has not the nice UI tweaks of the nexus editions so i'm still looking for a solution.
Hey is your camera working perfectly, like showing any tint **pink blue purple** ???

No the camera doesn't show any tint.
I found out that another ROM allows me to use the camera without displaying an error and it is "HTC ONE NEXUS EDITION 2".
It has all the UI tweaks that i wanted so i'm very happy even if it lacks the nice features found in CM11.
This ROM requires S-OFF. So i'm starting to believe that if i want to make the camera work with a custom ROM, i need a ROM that requires S-OFF.
If someone knows a version of CM11 requiring S-OFF...

I'd be interested to see if any solutions come up on this. I am having the exact same issue and have been looking for a few days now for a solution.
Just warrantied my HTC One (M7-UL) due to blacks-tinting-purple camera issue. They replaced the camera, and I received it back Jan 04. Camera worked perfectly.
Unlocked, rooted, and installed various custom ROMs (CM11 - snapshot & nightlies -, CM10.2 stable, AOKP - 4.4 and 4.3 -, SlimBean) using first TWRP then CWM but each time received "Camera Error: Camera Can't Connect".
Camera only works when I recover or install the stock ROM (which is Android 4.3, but so is CM10.2).
S-Off didn't help. Even unrooting & locking the phone and redoing the root/unlock process didn't. Have tried a different kernel (teaMseven) but same issue. Instagram & Focal both can't access camera either.
Could HTC be installing new camera hardware or fw that hasn't yet been taken into account by custom ROMs?
If anyone has any further thoughts on this...or better if they've found a solution ?
Thanks!!!!

Yeah, me too i'm going to try again this week end to pu CM11 latest nightly hoping that they solved the issue because i've seen lot of camera related commits.
So i just installed the latest CM11 nightly and unfortunately the same problem occurs with the camera.
I hope that someday a Cyanogenmod dev finds out the difference between the HTC ONE NEXUS EDITION rom and CM11 that allows it to make the camera work.
I hope that this commit might fix the camera issue with cyanogenmod : http://review.cyanogenmod.org/#/c/54676/
When it will be merged i will give CM11 another try.

Ooooh that's good to know. Thanks for sharing.
Same here. Mine One was on repair and now the purple tint is gone.
The camera module was replaced.
All HTC based ROMS (Sense or GPE) works but no AOSP.
Tried CM11 Nightly, CM10.2, Omni Nigthly, TripnDroid ....
The problem is for sure a new camera module which isnt implemented in AOSP Source based Roms.
Hoping for a fix soon.

Thanks for your answer, this kernel is compatible with my Android version. Regarding installing it, is it possible to install the .zip file using TWRP Custom Recovery ? I'm asking this because i have TWRP installed (latest version). And after the installation process, how will i be able to activate these options (sleep2wake, logo2menu) ?
I've no idea on how you install it,you'll have to check bulletproof kernel thread
sent from my s-off 801n M7_UL
...or Elemental X. You'll get into Aroma Installer and be able to choose your kernel settings, there are also several checkboxes, which en-/disable your desired configuration concerning htc button. Just be sure about the version, so check the changelog or description of those different versions for compatibility to install the correct one. But i'd advise you to upgrade to Sense 5.5 and KitKat, for example Elegancia; running one of the newest roms plus newest kernels ensure highest performance! Check it out!

I have htc sense 5.5 on my android 4.3 version. Regarding custom roms, i'm not sure the kernels are compatible with them, so i prefer using the stock os. I hope i won't have trouble installing it.
EDIT: I've installed the bulletproof kernel using TWRP. It took 30 secs, no errors. Now i have the ability to use the logo as a button. Thanks again for your support !
