Hey everybody, I'm quite new in this but I hope I can get help from you. I got a Kindle Fire HD and successfully rooted it. Everything was fine until one day I somehow lost root access. I used supersu and when I open it a messsge pops up saying that there are no su binaries and supersu cannot install them. I already tried to root it again but I get an error. I hope somebody can help me please!

thanks for the answer. I downloaded everything but I can't flash it because I don't have root access
Just get the latest version of Bin4ry's root method. Search it.
You lost root because you didnt disable the ota updates from amazon.

Hi Everyone,
I have been trying to root my Kindle Fire HD for a long time and have tried so many different tools and just tried this one 1st Method http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1886460 but did not root and i lost all my images on the kindle! I have also tried this way 2nd Method http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2096888 but just keep getting errors. So i have not rooted device and images missing from the first method how do i fix this and how do i get this device to root!
Thanks
Rockyuk
Have adb drivers installed as well as latest Java. Then you use binary method and ur kindle will be slow also sluggish that's OK. Then you use qemu root method. You can find I t in the 7 inch kindle fire HD android development. Then run the qemuroot.bat. file in that archive and following the instructions. And after that is done, un plug kindle reboot and you have root! Make sure the app super user is installed after root.

So yesterday I decided to root my HTC one, after the 4.3 update.
After I unlocked the bootloader, I couldn't root using TWRP because the touchscreen wouldn't work when I booted to recovery. I figured out that I was using an old version TWRP, and once I updated TWRP it seemed like everything was going to work. Now I have SuperSU (updated to the newest version via app store) on my phone but when I try to open the app I get the following error
"There is no SU binary installed, and Super SU cannot install it. This is a problem!
If you just upgraded to Android 4.3, you need to manually re-root - consult the relevant forums for your device"
Uhhhh any ideas on how to fix this? This is the first time I have tried to root so I don't have alot of experience with this. I can't post in the Dev page because I previously had been a lurker and never really posted.
same problem
Same problem here.
I have T-Mobile HTC one that I convert to Google play edition.
After the update to 4.3 I lost the root.
Please help.

I'm not sure what you mean. I can boot into recovery and get into twrp, and now that I have the new version of TWRP it the screen will work. I'm not sure if that answers your questions or not.

You can't root your tablet with root and restore. Check the links in my signature.
Edit: There are no custom ROMS for your tablet yet.

I decided to root my kindle fire hd 7" today and I went through the whole process and downloaded the New kindle drive and the rooting software. It said I had finished rooting and when I went in and checked it, it said it was rooted but I can't find the superuser app that everybody who rooted had. Why can't I find it, isn't it supposed to be just in my apps?

Use root checker app to verify that you have SU binary. If it says that you have root, just install SuperSU app. It's way better than the Superuser app.

So I downloaded a root checker and it says it's rooted, how do I get the SuperSu app? I'll try that and if it doesn't work I'll probably try your other idea and reroot it.

You can just download it from the Play Store.

Hi, I'm new to this and I'm just wondering why my kindle fire running on 7.4.8 did not root. I followed all the steps for bin4ry, everything went well (backed up rebooted and all) but at the end, the device did not have the superuser app. So I'm assuming it did not root. So what happened? I hope someone can help me with this. Thanks.
Don't select normal, select old when it asks what method.

Hi, thanks for your reply, I wasn't able to use your suggestion but I was able to root the kindle already (checked via root checker). For some reason, the superuser is just not appearing. I've read about it on other threads and they said that I would just have to install the superuser app via google play store. So I'm currently working on that. Thanks again!

V31 Binary Root works best in my opinion. That's why old works better. Install SU and check for root.
