Hello,
I just received my HTC One that is 100% original this time with Orange Rom: CID ORANG202
I'd like to know how to dump the original firmware for the unroot, but also the original recovery.img my phone before making any changes.
With fastboot? adb?
Thank you in advance for your response.
I'm new on the forum so Hi All!
I'm completely in the same shoes so someone point as to the right direction please.
Cheers

There are two ways. Stock RUU as you said. For that you need to have your phone locked (it will say relocked) and it will wipe everything I believe your SD card too. Other option would be to see if you can locate a Clockwork or TeamWin backup for your phone and then restore that which wouldn't touch your SDcard. Here is a thread with RUU and Nandroid backups http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2207874
Hello to all,
Sorry if this post has already been covered a gazillion times previously!!
I have a HTC ONE, which has been rooted for a few months to v4.2.2 from v4.1.2, but I want to go back to v4.1.2 so I can receive OTA's; I can't figure out which version of a RUU I need to download and I don't want to flash something that might brick my phone!
I have checked what software version is currently on my phone and it shows 1.29.161.11; I presume this is not the correct version hence I have the Revloution HD Rom installed!?
I would appreciate some help as I keep reading that I need something called "S-OFF" in order to flash a new rom, but I have no idea what this is?!?
Thanks in advance.
Rick.

Hi guys
Here's my guide to return to stock for carrier based Rom. I know it seems long winded - but it's the only way I successfully returned to stock 02 without having my ***TAMPERED*** message return and botching the whole thing up again
Here's the guide - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2519259
Obviously you will need a nandroid backup rather than an 02 backup which I used in the guide, but the guide remains the same
Any questions or help needed I'll be here for a while and good luck
Click thanks if I helped
Hi thanks alot bud i will most likely need your help! so i may be in touch.

ok i need help my brother was trying to mod this phone and he installed a wrong firmware on my phone it's there anyway to fix this because i'm stuck on bootloop and i'm a newbie

I could be wrong but I would try to push the ruu with firmware to it from omj's thread...
Are you able to get into recovery? Assuming you did a backup at some point you can flash that. If not RUU it is...
Hi all,
Hope you can help please.
I have been using a custom rom for a while and decided to flash back to stock rom, I used an RUU file which matched my CID etc, the phone rebooted and was working great, I then installed the OTA update and after the phone is in a constant boot loop, I flashed another RUU which also matched my CID etc but same result, also same result with GURU reset files.
Can anyone help with the above please, have I missed something?
Thank you,
Dean.

post your fastboot getvar all without imei and serial number please, sounds to me like you flashed an old guru reset file not an original RUU.
