Last week my phone told me there was the 1.29 update, I acepted the updated, downloaded it and the phone proceeded to restart etc. But now when I look at Software Information, in Settings, it still says "Software number: 1.29.206.11" Shouldn't this have moved up to 1.29.401.12 or so? Is there a way of getting the update installed again?
is your phone the sim free one or did you get it from your network provider?

Doesn't matter what revision you are on. They should be very similar and people are getting different revisions of 1.29 due to locations and phone versions. You got the update already so thats what you have and that will what be is available to you even if you try again.

Just received mine, it's a performance update...I'll post what was fixed. Read more here http://www.wpcentral.com/t-mo-radar-and-hd7-getting-update-tomorrow
someone needs to capture it as a cab so we can load it without having to go thru the 5.1 OSPL again
One thing it did NOT do was update to 7740.16.. I am still at 7720.68 after the update.
But.. it did bring Visual Voicemail back.
Said it would do Internet Sharing, but this worked for me before the update and thank God after as well so no big difference there..
Just one major question, does new update put the phone to spl 4.xx or 5.xx?
This update doesn't fix my biggest problem, Visual Voice Mail ALWAYS playing through speaker, regardless of what I do... Have any of you run into this and fixed it?

Interesting. Mine is 2250.21.51004.401 after the upgrade.
Oops - forget that, mine is generic, not T-Mobile.
latest update
One thing it has fixed is the lockscreen relock/lock issue. Now, when I lock my phone, it locks and the lockscreen doesnt reappear. Also I havent seen the green flash with timeouts come back either.
My apologies if this question has been posted already, I have however searched/read here as well as the internet and my eyes are ready to pop out!
I am in Canada on the Bell network with an unlocked HTC One phone purchased from pdaplaza.ca, here are the specs:
HTC One 801s
Model: PN0714000
CID: HTC_622
Version: M7_UL_JB_50
Android ver: 4.1.2
Rom/Software ver: 1.29.708.16
Build: htc_asia_hk/m7/m7:4.1.2
I would just like to get confirmation from anyone else with same phone whether or not they have received the OTA update of Android 4.2.2? From what I've read, the updates have rolled out to Asian markets, UK, Europe etc etc and I don't find anyone from Hong Kong *****ing about "no update" yet, which leads me to believe it has. If so then maybe their is something wrong with my phone. I am contemplating S-OFF, change model ID and CID etc, but would prefer to avoid any potential headaches.
While I'm here, has there been any confirmation on this variant having the 700MHz LTE band and if so being able to unlock and activate? Perhaps having LTE speeds may be worth the potential headaches!
Thanks, any clarification would be greatly appreciated!
Same phone model, same CID and still no update yet. Using the phone in China mainly.

OK thanks Mr. Dutchman, I guess I'll keep waiting a bit longer......one of the downsides of owning an HTC, always freakin' waiting waiting for updates!!!
I have just bought the Same version of htc one just like yours 801s from 2 days ago and yes i received the 4.2.2 ota and updated:crying: and it updated my hboot also to 1.54 which doesnt have s-off till now ... So if you want s-off just s-off now on hboot 1.44 than update ota
But i dont know anything about the lte ?!
Mine is exact the same model as OP's phone, no updates yet. Just checked with and without VPN connection, both say no updates yet. I am not too concerned about it yet but it would be nice if we know when we are going to get what. My phone is working just fine as it is right now but not knowing if and when we get what is not really what I expected from HTC but who know, maybe we skip 4.2.2 entirely? patience I guess.....
An update or roll-out plan + schedule who is getting what and when would be the way to go, not knowing what is going on is not but as I said, my phone is working fine - no issues right now after 2 factory resets due to music player not seeing added music files and Wi-Fi connection problems. It's all good now.
Finally HERE!!!
Happy to report that I just pinged server for update and it is FINALLY here (downloading now). As others have stated, small pre-curser update before main update which is software version: 2.24.708.4 (427.18MB). Please note this is with my stock phone (specs at beginning of post), I have not made any CID etc alterations. Will follow up if anything weird happens.
Thanks for input ya'll.
Got it too just now, all OK and no issues at all. If any issues later on I will follow up here.
Should have started this thread way earlier.....LOL
Hello there. I've been trying to do an ota update for my HTC One to android 4.3 for a while now and it hasn't been successful. Everytime I check I get the "Your phone is up to date" message. I'm stuck on 4.2.2. I've tried contacting HTC about my problem, and apparently my device is the O2 version which according to them, hasn't received the update yet, although from my search, that doesn't seem to be the case. I bought my device thinking it was the unlocked, worldwide version of the One; the place I've purchased it from said nothing about it being an O2 device. I think this might have to do with the fact that when I setup my device, I choose my country (Jordan) instead of the UK. How can I update it to 4.3 without having to root it? Is there a way to change the country settings and check for an update? Thank you for your time
I'm using an AT&T Note 3 for T-Mobile. I believe when 4.4 first came out I did not want to update so I froze the AT&T Software Update, however I now want to update OTA from 4.3 to 4.4.4. How do I re-enable the software update OTA? I tried doing a factory reset thinking it would recover it however it didn't. Whenever I go to Settings>General>About Device and tap Software Update nothing happens. I also tried using Samsung Kies 3 to update however it says I'm not the latest firmware, 4.3. Which I believe is not???
Any help is appreciated to update from 4.3 to latest android.
Thank you!
Found the answer to my question.
Use Odin.

Easy.
I have an HTC M7, Running Android 4.1.2, (on AT&T Network). I bought it "unlocked" (used), and have been trying to update it to 4.3 or higher. The Update function inside the settings supposedly downloaded an update (271MB) and informed me the phone was up to date after a lengthy download and install. But I didn't notice a change in anything. It still says 4.1.2 (#1.26.504.12). Someone help me please. The HTC website says this phone is supposed to be updated to lollipop.

at&t phones must be connected to the at&t network to update. The best solution imo, is to S-OFF the phone and convert it to another version.
This phone is connected to AT&T Network... It updated once.
