MIUI has been my favorite since Sony days. can you please work on getting basic things working in it. Thanks

I have flashed this rom to my 4x HD. It has many problems that i hope you will fix it. The UI is the best I have seen so far. But I don't reccomend this rom for daily use. Please fix the bugs.

yes..rom has a lot of bugs 'cause i port it directly from hox..i have only change app and framework folder from avatar on cm10.1 base..
and i want to share with you the result that however runs and i think that it's simple fix bugs..
so if other develpers wants to build and test to fix bugs they are welcome..
i have not a lot of time in my life..
however i want to try miui features on my p880 and in this moment avatar roms it's the only rom that runs almost in alpha stage..
in next days i ' ll try to fix bugs..
and maybe someone can build another version of avatar rom for p880...

For MIUIv4, for phone FC, I had to decompile the framework.jar in /system/framework (for both BASE and PORT) and go to com/internal/android/telephony/cdma and replace all the files with the ones from BASE.
i found this when I tried to fix my Phone.apk FC maybe it helps for you since avatar is more miui like. good luck

I hope you will fix the bugs. I like this rom too much.

but you have a miuiv4 for p880 that runs without phone error?..can you upload for me your rom?i want to test it..i try dexter miui v4 with bootstrap but there are a lot of bugs.

no i tried to port a completely different rom (carbon 1.6)
im sorry that i cant help you
but you may could post this error in the whole xda forum (not only for one device,but for the whole community)
and if you find out whats the reason for the fc's please tell me, maybe its the same as for me

Android JB - 4.2.2
CM10.1
Instructions:
If it's the first time flashing avatarrom or coming from another ROM
Install ClockworkMod Recovery or TWRP or similar..I have remove in script install "getprop("ro.product.device") == "p880" so i think that all recoveries can install this rom
Do a NANDroid backup of your current ROM from backup/restore menu.
Wipe Data/Factory Reset & Wipe cache partition
Flash the downloaded .zip file.
Install Gapps package. If you get Google search crash update Google search from play store.
I have posted this rom because i think that it's time to have a lot of rom for our LG P880..
The rom is a porting from Htc One X Avatar ROM 2.8b
And I remember that this rom is in alpha stage..
I'm not developer,i like android world and i'm learning to compile/porting roms and kernel and other stuff..
I use as base cm10.1 nightly 20130427 and HOX rom as port..
i have changed only app and framework folder from Avatar ROm with cm10.1 rom
There are some Bugs ,phone do not functions..it's crashed when rom start (com.android.phone) so i rename it in /system/app (Nfc.apk.1 Phone.apk.1 and Stk.apk.1..in framework same thing to com.android.nfc.extras) so rom boot and you can use wifi or other..also camera seems stable..
So i hope that some developer can use it to fix phone bugs or other bugs..
i will try to fix this bugs myself but i dont'have a lot of time..
Probably there are problems in frameworks,policy..
This is XDA and in this community there are a lot of Great and Wonderful Developer that can do miracles..as for immortal HTC HD2..
EDT So please help us to build stable rom as avatar,as paranoid,aokp and miui..
If someone want to use this rom to fix bugs or other its' good..no problem..

i think that if SnXo add some features (I hope) to his unofficial rom or different kernel he post new version..

I was think about use this rom but before flashing it I'd like to know if :
the rom is rock stable
battery life is similar or even better compared to stock rom
rom is smooth and has no lag
image and video quality are better than stock rom
...and do you suggest me to flash official rom or ported rom ?

Is ANY rom stable depends of your apps. But CM is stable. For me.
Battery life (for me) on every CM is MUCH better compared to stock JB.
Rom has no lag (for me)
Image and video quality is a bit worse (but again, for me).
And I suggest you to make backup your current rom and TRY any rom you like to check.
Nothing compares to your own expirience.

Yes I know..but some days ago I read about some problems and I also read that some say that port version is better than the official one.
The reason of my question was to understand if the rom it's quite good to be tested or not because maybe there was some problems that I don't want to ave on my phone and I'd like to know before doing backup,flashing the rom and restoring my data..
However,thanks for the answer,I think I'll try this rom when my phone will be fully charged...

Now is the turn of LIGUX developers, a rom cooked very interesting, soon as he came to our little black with gingerbread left us more than impressed. As it turns out have begun testing a further contribution, now based in Ice Cream Sandwich. I have a day with this ROM and ah was the best, even better than the ICS of China, is something that you try it and decide which is the best ROM ICS.

The base it seems. Chen+me. Cause I added "-FOP-ics" in the config to name the kernel. Chen's local version has "Shendu" I think. Anyway that is open source. But they could have atleast changed the local version. Or maybe they didn't to give credits.

I don't have anything to do with this thread or Ligux team, actually I'm trying to help fop but I don't think you can say It is your kernel because as you know it is open-source and ics_kernel_optimus_black it's a chen's fork which is a CyanogenMod lge-kernel-sniper fork. Obviously that you, chen and lot's of other contributors should be credited for your effort and work over the lge-sniper kernel and ICS but don't forget it is public and we need to be prepared for this situations since our work is public and free for use.
Don't take this seriously since I admire the work of every one that in exchange of nothing works for a common cause. I'm doing it since LG Black was released with the second rom released at xda for froyo and actually trying to compile a really stable kernel and I also support you when you say Ligux source isn't available. It should be available because one thing is to download fop ics plus your improved kernel, make it better and release the sources with the deserved credits and another one is plagiarism and publish thing under our name that we'r fully developed by others. And it's sad to see that are people that publishes ROM's at XDA that aren't even booting.

I already said that it is "open source" few posts back. I just wanted to clarify when they say "this is much better than FOP. Cause the adjustments came from FOP. Maybe minus some scripts/tweaks/UI.
And where have you been? You've been idle for so long...

True mate, I've been really focused at the university and I'm going to finish it this year but now I have some free time again and decided to do something here. I think you really should investigate what are the changes they have made and do a complain to xda moderators if it is the case since they say it's much better and It doesn't even boot which at the minimum a ridiculous situation.

Hi everyone,
This week will see the last of V4 support. From next week expect the development team to be focused on V5 of MIUI ROM. The first candidate for release will be the Xiaomi MI-2.
We've already had the benefit of getting our build-bot ready for V5 so we will have MI-2 users covered within about 10 mins of Chinese release.
From that point we do not have any schedule for other devices but rest-assured we will do our best to keep people posted.
To save some stupid questions:
What phones get MIUI v5?
First the Xiaomi MI-2. Then who knows. Stop asking, Kittens DIE!
Samsung SSGSII has JB. When do we get JB MIUI?
We dont have a release date, dont ask! Kittens DIE!
So 3.2.22 is the last MIUI v4 ROM?

Yes, I haven't installed the JB MIUI yet, but I believe it uses h8rift's CM10 as a base. Anyone feel free to correct me if I'm wrong about that.

yes. the ics version is sense based and the jellybean version is cm10 based (sense free). I have to do some work on the jellybean version as some have said it just fc when it boots

Yes, JB 2.12.7 Just FC with com.android.phone. Can't boot into Homescreen with the issue

MIUI doesn't usually include gapps. You just have to download and flash the file separately from Goo.im or somewhere similar. Here's a link to the gapps zip you'll need for ICS.
Not sure if you were looking for that, but there's the link just in case.

Update:about a week or more into the rom,i found it 2 b stable with only 1 ramdom reboot.,a few touch not responding errprs,etc.the advanced security options and thrming are awesome!

-Notification Bar has 4 and a half Icon. [Reason: MIUI changed the resolution on the Stable. We need qHD and stable has HDPI]
-Video Mode is Force Closing. [Reason: Gingerbread Kernel]

-GoogleVoice FC after setting up.
-Ringtone change only works one time after that the Ringtone stays like that even it shows another tone. [Reason: Tegra2 CPU is the Problem..]
-Press & hold Home Button u screen blinks. [Go to settings buttons and change home key to none. Thanks to rempty]

-App Manager shows only 0.00B app size. [Fixed]

Information:
I am not a owner of an Atrix 4G anymore! (Touchscreen broke and i got my money back..)
Santajin and I try to bring a fast stable and bugfree MIUI. Thanks for using this ROM.
Instruction:
1.Wipe System/Data/Cache.
2.Flash ROM.
3.Boot ROM.
4.Flash Gapps.
5.Reboot.
Updates: This ROM Over-The-Air Update. That means u can Update the ROM over a App called "Updater".´
TWRP recovery is needed.
1. Open Updater
2. Press Menu Softkey
3. Click on "Check updates settings"
4. Uncheck "Update to monthly build only" [So u can get the weekly Update ]
If u try the first time OTA and it happens problems like this:
1. OTA is downloading ROM and reboots to TWRP/Recovery but dosnt flash the OTA update.
2. OTA is donwloading ROM and reboots to TWRP/Recovery but failed to flash.
U have to delete the old OTA update in internal sdcard/downloaded_rom/ "the ota file". Because its corrupted. Then use the Updater App again.
U are flashing this on u own risk. If u are afraid because its made by chinese devs then keep u Hands off.Screenshots:

Yes thats right thats the only reason that i am only posting this ROM. The other ones are less stable so I post the best rom i tested and use
If bugs are there write it ! So we can warn the people need who needs that function !

i know i am going maintain this thread till someone has something better or my atrix dies. In the next days i am going to find some extras or themes for MIUI I hope more people are going to give this Rom a chance.

Its fully in english. Oh right no HWA thanks for the info xD Try it like i say i tested it 2days straight and only these bugs are the one i noticed.

i am chinese and i saw miui announced to provide V5 for atrix.
and now let's say it is current supported by a miui offical dev team and being public tested last night.
and i've flashed it found stable for dailyuse.
just waiting for the new 3.1 kernel to complete it!!!

Looks and Sounds Interesting. Couple of things. Light color font in OP is eye killer, please change if its ok. You have mentioned Gapps by SlimRom built-in (including Google Now and Face Unlock) you have also given link for gaps? So need to flash gapps or not

I use a nexus 4 8Gb. I tried miui 3.10.1 and 3.10.3 and 3.10.4 and now 3.10.8.
I used the language pack and modinstallers.
I can download the ota update, but when it reboots i get an error and the phone its updated...
Any ideas?

What you will need to do is, try re flashing the ota in TWRP(if you use TWRP) and when it fails, you will see a House(Home) a square in the middle, and an arrow(back) at the bottom. Select the square and it will say which patch file failed. You will ned to down the file and replace the current one you have and set perrmissions to 644 and then the OTA will work.

do you know if v10 one for 4.2.2 uses ziddey's otg patch? i see in changelog they have it but have to make sure since ziddey's 4.2.2 kernel didnt work with miui before and this is, at least for me, kind of important

do you know if v10 one for 4.2.2 uses ziddey's otg patch? i see in changelog they have it but have to make sure since ziddey's 4.2.2 kernel didnt work with miui before and this is, at least for me, kind of important

Yes, go to settings, press menu and then Wifi Direct

Yes, I know, but it isn't the same... this rom is made by lushengduan from www.miui.com
Anyway, check second post, where I will be uploading d-h.st mirrors, which are super fast in europe (I am from spain)

So what's the difference?
There is the MUIUAndroid rom, MIUI rom and one from Datsun that I'm aware of.
Is one official, the others ports?
