Or you can try this method. -> Here

Sorry for this stupid question, I did search but I seemed not find any thread regarding my question.
Can someone tell me what is Program Memory is used for, I have a lot of free space in that, and I don't know where is that. All my files and my software seem to be on the Storage, but I only have 60Mb of it, there is another 90Mb free on the program memory.
Thanks.
Programs uses this as RAM when they are running. Just like on PC.
In WM 2003 i can install software on this RAM and run them directly from it. Plus I can store files in it as well as in the Storage. Is there anyway I can make this RAM usable for storing files and installing software? I heard from others that they can adjust this RAM to make it smaller and give some space to the Storage. Here is the source :

Source is in Vietnamese so most of you might not understand, just for reference.
Thanks
As I understand it, 'RAM' and 'Storage' occupy the same bit of hardware. Your PPC increases the space available to each area as you fill it up..
It doesnt seem to quite make sense to have it that way, but thats how it seems to me. Anyone wanna correct me?
It has to do with WM5 persistent storage. The storage memory and program memory has to be seperated.

can some one point me in the right direction for this been look thru multiple thread trying to find it but no luck.

The main drive for what? If you mean the IE cache, then the Registry Wizard found on this forum can do that. If you mean for individual apps, the CAB files will allow you to choose whether to install on the device or on the memory card when you install them. Beyond that, I guess I'm not sure what you'd mean...
I guess he wants the entire OS to run from storage card instead. Its like you want Windows XP running off a DVD-RW disk instead of HDD for your PC.
no i think he probably means when you install some apps to the storage card .. when you go to run them it is looking for the ".EXE" on the device and throws an error... probably how to fix that ..
i just want all apps to run from storage using 2 gig sd card, seem slike everythin i install and choose storage card seems to be on main memory instead of storage even tho i choose storage card i still see in main memory
A lot of apps will still copy some stuff to main memory regardless where you want to install them. Some apps like Today plug ins will even have problem running off storage card especially on old ROMs. Keep this in mind, storage card is slow and not immediately available after wake up from sleep mode. It is best left to be used as storage (as the name implies) rather than program memory.
Hi,
Just an idea,
I read that it is possible to install an other HDD to enlarge the memory on Vista side.
Is there a (not to expensive) solution to enlarge the memoryspace on "Snapvue" side so there will be more memory to install / run etc?
By the way, i do not mean to free memory space by using naked roms etc. but actually replace memory for more MB's or GB's...

it took me a while to get down to the cause of ths nd i found it by pure coincidence. i use cleanram as well. look for two cache folders. 1 for htc album in application data/htc/htc album nd the other is opera mobile which should b in windows/opera/profile. delete their contents nd u should b better. i assigned both folder as custom folders in cleanram. also note tht even if u install stuff on mem card some small files still go to ur main mem but thy shouldnt make that of a diff.
cheers
I suggest using an app like sktools that will allow you to move some of your apps and folders from device memory to internal storage. You could also uninstall some apps and re-install those apps to internal storage.
Dont know if this helps, but inshure to delete your internet files from IE -- while on tha browser click, menu / tools / options / memory / delete files.. on my htc touch it would empty tons of MBs, Near 100MBs at times after afew days of use...
my diamond does not hold anything it apears? i have never seen anything in my history.. I totally feel ripped off with 90MBs And like 30 free out of tha Box! Not one spec listed online shows this...

[Q] "Cannot save photo - not enough free space" + more than 4GB free on SD card
Hey there,
I was taking some pictures with my phone (HTC TD2, original ROM) the other day and out of the blue an error appeared notifying me that the last photo cannot be saved since there is not enough free space. I double checked the amount of free space available on the SD card (this is where photos are set to be stored) and just to be sure also the internal memory, but both were fine (SD: more than 4GB free, internal memory: ca. 170MB free).
What is this? Some kind of a joke M$ is playing on customers? ;o)
In case anyone knows what can be causing this, please, let me know. Thanks.

Have you tried changing your sd card? One of my friends had a similar problem and a faulty sd card proved to be the reason.
Dear chacik,
Thanks for your response. Change of SD card helped, however, when I put back the original SD card (from which nothing has been deleted since the error occurred), Windows happily saved photos to it as well.
Sometimes WM behaves in a strange manner...
