Root gingerbread 2.3.6

Hi,
I recently updated my galaxy tab wifi GT-P1010 from froyo to gingerbread 2.3.6 thru kies.
Alas, i lost my root and till now am unable to root it. Can anyone please help?

z4root has a temporary option, as well as a permanent one. I guess it shoul disappear on next restart. Also, get the superuser app to manage your app permissions

why temp root is needed
just root your phone permanently and then unroot it when you don't need root with the help of supersu app
and gb can also be rooted with the help of superoneclick

I know minimum requirements for Chainfire to be able to add support is a dump-file for this device from mobile odin, pit-file, and an image of original recovery. Take a look at the official Mobile Odin thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1347899
