Try to install a data monitor app to see what "os services" is doing.
I think it's just your phone syncing gmail, contacts and calendar. (But i'm not sure).

I keep getting a popup saying Google Services Framework has stopped. Everything still seems to work but it is getting annoying. There were errors with goggle-pictures syncing so I cleared the cache for gallery and stopped sync for that particular item but I still get the popup. Does anyone know how I can pin point the source of the error, or how to stop it?
Doesn't look like any one cares but I removed account and sync settings apk And reinstalled it. It cleared up the problem.
Thanks! This also worked for me, having a similar problem

Could you point me to the account and sync settings apk you use? I have installed the framework, account manager, play, and gmail, but I'm getting this same error and I can't login to gmail.
Thank you.
Same Problem
I am having this same issue also. I have the kindle confirmed rooted with "My Root Checker", and have side-loaded,
- Google Services Framework 4.0.4-338691.apk
- Google Play services_3.2.25 (761454-36).apk
- Google Account Manager_4.0.3-239410.apk
- Gmail_4.6 (836823).apk
It throws up errors "Google Services Framework has stopped" and "process com.google process com.gapps has stopped working". These errors are intermittent and it seems that all apps function properly but the errors themselves are of some inconvenience.
I will post back if I am able to find any solution.

Make sure to set your files to system apps. You can always just run this tool and be done with it http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2351201
Hi,
I have installed an application not from playstore and accidentally click to "allow google to watch this app etc." (don't know the exact translation in english). How to remove this permission ? I'm pretty sure it will use my battery and data.
Thank you by advance
I think it is a quick check to ensure the app isn't malicious.

I think you're speaking of the setting found at Settings>Security>Verify apps. It allows Google to examine the apps you install. I'm not sure what happens when you find one they don't approve of, since I keep this setting disabled and don't want them to keep track of everything I install. They know almost all of it already from their administration of the play store.
I have a problem with my htc one m7. It seems that background data doesn't get turned on. I have the following settings:
mobile data: checked
limit mobile data usage: unchecked
alter me about data usage: unchecked
restrict background data: unchecked
sleep mode is also off
I use the stock rom with bulletproof kernel.
The app i use most is whatsapp. But i only receive messages when i open the app. When i play a online multiplayer game (which obviously needs internet connection) i do get the messages coming in.
I've searched on google and asked on another forum but i can't find any solutions.
Does anyone have a clue?
Help is appreciated!

haha no, thx
wish it was that easy!
I've got heavy wakelocks from google play services and they won't let the device go to sleep when screen is off.
I've tried following fixes regarding this issue.
https://forums.oneplus.net/threads/f...-guard.297792/
None of them worked for me..
Could it be of the Gapps I use?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=53739230&postcount=5031
This worked for me for me...but only til I rebooted the phone.
I've tried different Gapps packages..all the same.
Any suggestions what I am doing wrong or how I can permanently get rid of the wakelocks caused by google play services?
I'm on Mackay 4.4.4 ROM and using Open Gapps 4.4 from 11/22/15
Can someone help me out of this misery please? :crying:
Got a workaround but not quite the root of all evil.
In privacy settings I disabled "keep awake" for Google play services and the battery drain is much better.
But now I am getting "unfortunatly Google play services has stopped" sometimes.
Everything seems to work..
It is OK but anoying somehow.
Anyone here with an actual solution?
DisableService in Google Play, you must have root.

I am not wuite sure what you mean with "DisableService in Google Play".
Can you please be more specific?
Do you mean the app "Disable Service" and if so what to disable exactly?
I've already tried to use the app to enable "SystemUpdateService" as it is disabled, but it went
back to disabled after boot.
Yeah! You must download https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=cn.wq.disableservice&hl=pl
****Go to Google Services>search this:
- "UPDATE" |||| off ALL
- "Sync" III off ALL
- Game III off ALL
And disable almost all proces, in background.
you have to embrace it-yourself
And your GOOGLE SERVICE WILL BE so low
Sorry for my bad english.

Did not read this until now
Fixed it using the first method in this thread.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/google-nexus-5/general/script-google-play-services-battery-t3059585
gps works well and wakelocks are gone.
thanks anyway!
Anyone have any idea why this would be happening?
This notification n shows 24/7 and I think it is killing my battery because Google play services is always using at least 20% of my battery
I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling Facebook to no avail

I guess that's because miui has pre-installed facebook apps (system apps). I had this problem too, but gone with debloater tool (remove/freeze facebook apps).
PS: apologise for my English.
