I recently updated my Galaxy Note N7000 with the latest Indian firmware... DDLSC.. But after the update, I am facing a lot of battery issues. The battery does not even last for a day. It used to be much better with the older firmware(ICS). Please suggest me anything to get maximum battery out of my phone.
I am willing to install any latest firmware from any other country as well. It is not a problem or any other custom ROM that will solve my battery problem! I really need a lot of battery backup for my phone as I am mostly out of my house.
Please help me!!
Battery is always aproblem wif the note... i suggest take a look at ebay they are offering a double battery bank for 2300 inr.. that will really help u to get battery as they are giving out a batterry of 5300 mah. I personally dnt think a custom rom can help...
P.s. - if i ever meet a nokia official... i wud suggest them to stop making phones and concentrate on making battries and start exporing them to samsung or iphones lolz...

I'm also facing same problem and many other just search ...after Jellybean update it seems like battery is dying rather quickly.I have already tried LT4 version and many roms ( TW based) but more or less same battery life..Only worked around is to disable Wifi and auto sync when not required because it seems it killing battery rather quickly..and i dont use auto brightness ..just change mannually screen is eating up around 50% ...by doing this I manage to hold on for 12 -14 hours...try sweet rom LT4 quite stable and good battery life ...

Very often after flashing a new a battery problem happen, it's necessary to calibrate the battery using appli like Battety Calibration.
That's a problem for a couple of users, unfortunately.
Specially JB rom ! I've tried several tips, like switch off wifi, sync, Google now, multi windows, battery calibration etc, without success.
Still waiting a decent rom in the future? (dreaming is permitted, right? )

Hello everyone,
I'm running some tests to see the battery consumption on my Galaxy S i9000. I'm using the gingerbread version of darkys ROM.
Firstly, what do you think of the battery life? In this specific test I used the phone in a very light way, made some messages/calls and read few mails.
Secondly, is it normal to have depressions in the battery chart that display less battery than it shows later? How is it computed? Isn't just some logic level of the voltage battery?
Lastly, in the case of buying another battery, is it worthless to be genuine?
Thanks a lot
I have same qestion like you, in the another thread....

Sorry! Obviously I didn't searched properly. Hope someone can clarify us
Is it a gingerbread issue?
Even big batteries will "recover" after heavy use so ur graph is quite normal.
Also be aware that if the battery calibration isnt xorrect then that will lead to weird graphs too. E.g. Losing 1% over 8hrs after flashing a new rom is most likely due to inaccurate battery calibration.

When I install a new rom the battery stats are always deleted? Or it depends?
I also having the same prob...batt consumptions are always the main concern when come to flashing a new rom...Darky's can only last me for 1day with heavy usage and recently flashed to MIUI which can only last for <8hours with the same usage...im not sure why this happen but I am trying with different kernels and see which is the best combination...
I just installed a new gingerbread ROM and guess what.. Using push, wi-fi all the time, gps, 1h youtube video, sms, video call... The battery never ends!! As I'm writing the battery is still 15%. It's amazing the gingerbread in terms of battery consumption. Obviously, something in the other ROM was not right! Guess I'll stick to this battery a little more time.
Btw, the battery stats are pretty normal, no depressions..
Hey guys, just thought I'd poll and ask some questions?
So if looking for the best possible battery life (over peformance) which is recommended,
true official stock samsung ROM? or stock ROM e.g. Adrenaline ROM etc
I've tried Stocklite, Adrenaline and am currently using Thunderbolt. However my battery life never goes over a day, even with Juice Defender Ultimate and SetCPU profiles.
Any one else have any experiences with good roms? Battery calbiration tips? charging tips anything?
Thanks

1.The battery life depends more upon your baseband rather than the roms.
Ofcourse the roms do make a difference!
Eg. Earlier i was using Stocklite v7.1 on DDKQ8, and it used to last a day, now on XWKTM it lasts more than that.
2.The battery calliberation is said to be a myth as an official google android developer stated that it does not affect the battery in anyway. (Tried it personally too, no change in battery life!)
3.Underclock when you are not using heavy apps on your phone.
4.The way you use your phone makes a great difference, switch off the bluetooth, gps, data, wifi when not needed! Reduce the brightness, it saves the battery!
Hope all this would help you!
Hello guys as you see i'm new here and i have a problem with my Ace battery. I rooted it like 6 months ago and I changed the rom a couple times thinking the fault of my battery drain was the rom, some roms worked better than others in term of battery duration, I don't have 3G so battery should stand more than most of users...
With stock rom 2.3.6 battery life was like for two days now with the current rom(jelly bean) doesn't go for a full day.
I wiped the battery stats a couple of times to see if that would make a difference but it seems not. Any help?
it is more or less the usual duration of a battery, if it is that the best you've seen screen shots where you see that last a day and a half, but also for hanging if hardly touch the phone, not having caught the g3 is a great battery saving but if you have programs running in the background in order eg facebook several such drums will continue to spend. So whether you use the ace? is what you get for no more battery
I only have installed whatsapp and play music, when I take out right of the charger (example) after 5 secs I lose 4% of battery right of taking out a wire, I will upload screen shots tomorrow when phone is full charged, also charging the phone takes like 10 mins...
By jellybean, do you mean cm10 ?

Yes is cm10 i for this ROM currently http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1874920
Also realized that turning off the phone would continue charging the battery so that is a fix for the moment because I just turned it off and someone called and got mad at me... Lol
So right now I will take some screenshots during the day and will upload it in the night!
Look, you can never expect good battery life from the cm 9 & 10. Atleast for now. Change to stock based roms if you want a good battery life & one more thing, turning off phone doesn't charge it, it just saves a bit more battery

Cm9 and cm10 are in WIP,
Switching to stock or stock based rom will satisfy your needs.
Ok I will still upload the photos if any one want to see them, any stock rom recommended? (I prefer the ones that you can go a flash them not with Odin ones)

Upload the photos, no harm. For stock roms, I recommend The Myth 2 - Go Green & SGS II v10.1. Both are great !

Actually my ACE is holding battery up to 1 day and it's fine. I'm using a lot of WIFI/3g, music player and texting. I don't know if this is some good score or not, but it is enough for me : )

Hi everyone. I am trying to choose one of the new roms based on oficial xxlsz rom.
But for someone that just did it, the battery perfomance is better than in xxlsc? (i have this
right now) and i think that is the most important thing to do with JB in note.
Thanks in advance
in my opinion, lsc drain more battery power than lsz. i noticed after i change my rom from ultimate n7000 lsc into newest ultimate n7000 lsz.
i'm using my note from morning around 6am (100%) and when i had my lunch at 12pm, it still have 66% - 70% which more better than lsc, it will drop until 55%.
but it just my opinion.
The ROM I use is really good in all terms, For instance the battery drain is ~1% / H in idle state ( and comparatively much lesser with heavy use as well though it depends on individual's definition of "heavy use " . I suggest to wait 2-3 days with 2 manual full reboobs/day before doing an assessment.(Like note does wants to protect it's draining habit, but gives up finally to The SUper ROM)
I had Ultimate > Stock > Slim versions before this one , and this is going to stay I guess....(check my note signature for links).
My battery is over 6 months old and really does need replacing, as its life has really deteriorated since new, However after using Ultimate LSZ for about 2 days now, Im getting about 18-20hrs from my battery (with high usage)
ive used Ultimate ROMs for quite some time now, the last was LSC which I was on for several weeks and I did not manage to get close to 18hrs usage, So LSZ is definitely a big improvement.
Thanks for te replay
Ok, then i will try the new xxlsz. You mention Ultimate rom serveral times, is the rom for joosh3?
It´s maybe one of the best roms? what you recommend. I really searching a perfomance rom, not one so much pretty but fast
and battery friendly..
Thanks again!!
Try Sweet Rom !! Trust me ... You won't regret it

Thanks!
Hi guys,
i recently sold my crappy Xperia Tipo (i goddamn hate it) and bought an S3 Mini, i love it, it's my first day with it, but i'm having serious issues with the battery life, it discharges too fast,
When i bought it i drained all the battery, then charged it (turned off) to 100%.... but still its draining too fast.
The phone is brand new... i don't know why it discharges so fast, it's on android 4.1.2:
Should i update to a custom rom? i would like to taste KitKat, that CM11...
Do you suggest it?

The battery is not our great ally here xD
But custom rom have bugs, no matter what ppl say.. they have and will have for a while...
IF you dont care about warranty and want to take the chance to improve your cell, yes, there are some good roms to upgrade Jelly Bean to KitKat or just update to 4.3
Personal, Maclaw have a great work done in his CM and Carbon (Don Like at all Slim or OAKP ) that work with kit kat, still in process; in the case of 4.3 dont know, i just did the jump from 4.1 to 4.4
I'm actually using Mac CM 11.0 and I have to charge it every night, the same as with a Stock ROM / based custom ROM. I'm actually doing around 5 to 6 hours calling and a little bit of Line/Whatsapp during the day.
It's faster, and I like Open Source ROMs the most, because of the design, but it's up to you.

hey guys,
the road so far:
I started rooting and installing TWRP recovery in my phone, then i updated to Maclaw Kitkat 4.4.2 and flashed gapps...
i noted that the phone improved just a little bit, because without the bloatware it's much better, i don't have any bugs actually...
From 5 am to 11.30 am it went down 3% without 3G, i went to sleep and lost 3 % that's a little bit better...
I suggest to do a full rom backup with TWRP and try a new custom rom, 4.4 or 4.3!!
leave this post open for if someone knows something else about the battery life.

Dont know much how long is battery life with the stock rom, bcause i started using the phone directly with the CM11 of maclaw. I am running the 20140120 version, and i am always reading about the news and comments of the last maclaw's release.. (think i will do an update soon..)
I see that battery life increase changing the governor ( abyssplug ) and the I/O scheduler ( sio ). I dont use wifi so much but often 3g data connection (chat, mail pushing, some internet surfing etc..) , listen music, make some photos... airplane mode during night!
after 1,5 day of use.. i should charge!
had an xperiaE before with a stock 4.1.2 jb and the battery life was greater... ( but is completely another device with another hw and os .. )

I'm kindda pissed of with the Xperia line, my friend had the Xperia U and smashed it across the hallway because after hours and hours of flashing new roms it always came down to poor...extreme poor performance haha.
What's the governor ?
governor takes control of which the CPU is used... there are a lot of threads about...or just google the word and you will find a lot of literature..
