Is someone willing to work on a Sense 5 based MIUI v5 port for the One?
I know that there is one already up on the One X that is working very well, plus we can keep the Camera features, etc.
I am willing to donate!
Here is the link to the thread for the port on the One X:

I love MIUI. When using iPhone I always wanted it. Couldn't wait to use it myself. So all I really want is MIUI on my One. I can't compare sense based vs nonsense based but I think I'd prefer sense based so the camera and other important things worked. Having nonsense based MIUI and sense based would be really great. Love choices. Love the UI and applications on MIUI so as long as I had those like the music app I'd be very happy.

Do want, this would be a blessing I think.
Downloaded and looked at the ROM it's a plain HTC sense ROM KANGED with MIUI apps...
Base OS = Sense
Kernel = Sense
Core apps = Sense
So it's likely a Sense ROM with minor MIUI parts.
Anyways what's so special with that ROM by the way? I think it's easy to remake it with sense 5.

That's it? Would want the full MIUI experience with the benefits of sense. Sounds halfa**ed to me. Better than nothing though. Better than what I could do so that's good. Just love the functionality of MIUI so I hope one of the devs gets a device and we see an official release and maybe an unofficial sense based version.

Nah not really, of course there's going to be a lot of sense stuff (hence the fact it is sense based...). Right now a sense based miui would be better since cm10 is still in early alpha stages. Also it'll take more than just simply porting apps considering other phones are xhdpi, whereas this is xxhdpi lol

True enough. I just want some MIUI goodness. All I know is I want to get rid of the cruddy music app on sense 5. Gets a bunch of my artist pics wrong and overwrites some of my album art with other artists stuff I've never heard of with no option to use your own art from gallery. Also it takes chunk's off artists names randomly. All other music apps ive used like now playing and nex music cause major wake lock and battery drain. So im forced to use the music app. Would want to MIUI music app to hopefully change that.

Now that you mentioned it I almost forgot HTC One is xxhdpi where MIUI base still doesn't have that resource level. So yeah it's more than just porting but also recreating the resource images to be compatible with xxhdpi.

Hey guys I found a really slick theme at MODMYI today. I was wondering if anyone knows how to create a modified version for android or how to port other free IOS themes to Android. I' trying not to go back to iPhone 5 but seems like most of their icons themes are more detailed...higher quality.....more chic. Anyone? Please.....I theme IOS pretty well but I have no idea what I'm doing with Android (S4).

Im certain she means she want to use different iPhone themes not the default one which is in espier etc. I'm totally agree about quality of themes, every best icon themes we have are originally iPhone ones like jaku, suave, boss, elite, dune and more. I would like to know how the get the paid themes from iPhone without buying them from cydia. Any ideas (except warez)?

Exactly... I just feel like my iPhone was always prettier (or more handsome in guy terms). My S4 is so bland looking because i can't seem to theme the entire phone like on iOS. I can get icons but it won't theme the settings menu.... notification center.....keyboard....UI sounds.....lockscreen.....I guess there aren't any "complete" themes on Android which is weird because everyone talks about how "customizable" it is. I'm lost...

Are you guys ans girls actually implying that iOS is more customizable than android?
I mean I understand that ios changes the icons, but that's all you can change... unless you download dreamboard.
The thing with androind is that devolopers are more interested in changing the whole interface rather than just the icons... That been said it should be easy to just add the .png file to the icons on your rooted Android.
I'll look into it...

Yes more customizable in terms of APPEARANCE/AESTHETICS not necessarily FUNCTION. Android can DO more... IOS can LOOK more. hahaha I know that's incorrect grammar.

I don't like this because at some point, I think HTC might find that a lot of people are using AOSP over Sense, and just kill Sense development all together. I still like using it, and Sense 5 is BEAST!
I doubt HTC would leave sense. The option would be wonderful, but then, what would be the point of the nexus if devices can easily run stock?

I would assume that the point of the nexus devices would be to have something unlocked and give a great device to the prepaid market. The nexus 4 was priced very aggressively and from my understanding did really well. Not only with people who could use it on contract as a replacement device but also for people who wanted an inexpensive super phone on a prepaid carrier. Also, people like to purchase on contract for subsidized pricing on handsets. Giving this option of aosp or sense would mean that tech savvy people like us who care about this would have the option. While your average consumer will play with sense in the store and either like it or hate it. At least that's how I feel about it.

Sone parts might, it's because Kingcobra is Full Sense will this is Lite sense. Full sense is harder to theme and the file names are different so some parts might work

No because it uses m10 files instead of the straight res folders. I can't be bothered decompiling this many m10s for a ROM that I don't use so if someone else wants to port they are welcome but at this stage no sorry
Will it replace the sense 5 lock screen?
Edit.. Found the answer....
Anyway to get back the sense 5 lock screen.....?

The ring fit more with the theme btw if you push the lockscreen from another similar rom without the sense 5 look you will get stock lockscreen like in my screenshot. if you want to reflash,
reflash rom, open my zip, go to vrtheme/system/app/Matte/apk/res/drawable-hdpi and delete the lock ring image, then flash my zip
It won't have my lock ring anymore
I flashed it.....
Lock screen didn't change... It's still the same sense 5 lock screen.....

Really nice theme, love it! Thanks mate, keep up the good work!

Hey all, this is a theme I put together for myself and @Epic. told me to release it
Whats done, there is more but here is an overview
-Matte skin has been... skinned
-Statusbar
-Signal icons
-Notification tabs
-Some app icons: what is in my app drawer
-Lockring
-Dock
-Sense clock
I can't be bothered writing much more, I just wanted to get this up
Download:
Serenity_projectX.zip - 1.36 MB
Change theme to matte for full effect (I modified matte in the zip)
*Only for Project X and other Sense 4.1 lite ROMs if there are any. Will not work on Viper etc cause they use different layouts for pngs and locations*
Thanks to my buddies

The themed icons are music, camera, phone, messages, mail cause they are in my dock, and they are stock in the dock for HTC sense ROMs I think
Anything not those icons are not touched

A little suggestion from me...
Can you create some more themes.... I have been using your theme for some days... And I like it...
It's superb and really suits our dhd...
Way to go....
So it would be really interesting if you create more....

Hey guys, so you all probably have heard of the new Android version: 4.4 KitKat (if you haven't check androids official website here: www.android.com
Please leave your comments of what you want out of this version.
It is supposed to be very lightweight and supported on devices with 512 mb RAM
What I want is:
A option for green, red, etc instead of having no choice but the "holo" look.
Resizeable gallery widget
Smoother on low end devices
Post what you want below!

Whats the point? Its not like they're gonna monitor this thread. I think they might have already finished building it but will obviously not release it until later..
Anyways.. back on topic..
1 > Per-app security settings (like pattern lock)
2 > Tighter app-piracy protection
3 > Battery saving tweaks
4 > Ability to manually control app permissions
Will think of more later

Yaa. Let's focus on getting 4.3 for now.. And I don't think there will be any major change in 4.4

and hopefully android kitkat will be as tasty and im willing to build it once we have a fully working cm7, cm9, cm10.1 and cm10.2
now, we dont have even full working 4.1.2, so no matter what funktionally will be in 4.4. when they relase it, many of us will have new device with better support.
That's true next year I'm getting an upgrade

But jerry for anybody who buys later on at least they'd have some roms even if all of us have goneon too new phones

As new phones come out, the lower end phone's prices keep dropping.. I got this for 11k now its dropped to around 7k in india. So by the time kk comes out, a much better phone, like maybe desire x, will fall into this price range.. Then anyone would definitely go for that better phone..
I have choices for L /nexus 4 / ZR
Will either get art end of the month or max by next year:thumbup::thumbup::thumbup::thumbup::beer::beer::beer::beer::beer:
