Battery Mods for ParanoidAndroid 3.X.X - Nook Color General

I saw this on the Nexus Forums. Simple, and it works.
02ranger said:
This thread was originally posted over on the Galaxy Nexus and Nexus 4 forums (links in my sig), and after a good deal of success on both devices, I decided (with a lot of nudging lol) to post this here in the Nexus 7 forums too. I own a Nexus 7 with PA 3.0 installed, and so I can test everything and so far have had no issues. Also, because of the different screen size of the Nexus 7, I think the icons are a little small. Others who've tried these on their N7 don't seem to mind, so please let me know what you think. If they're too small for your liking, I'll work on making them bigger. I'm ""trying" to keep one APK for each theme to work across all devices.
Many of you are like me and have been looking for 1% battery increments on the amazing Paranoid Android ROM. The devs have been working so hard on making the rest of the ROM great for us that they just haven't had a chance to add battery %. So I've made several themes for just that purpose! I know you can install one of thousands of themes out there that add battery %, but I have always been partial to the stock look of ICS and JB, so my themes will only add battery percent icons, nothing more. They apply via the built-in theme manager, so no flashing required! Just download the theme(s) you want from the attachments below and install/apply like always. Also, please swing by this thread and hit the thanks button on the OP, ATTACK. It's his icon pack that has made most of these (maybe all) possible, given my rather limited photoshop skills. He OK'd the use of the icons, but I'd like to give him "something" back.
I've got 14 themes now.

Each theme of icons can be installed side by side on the same device. This way, if you want to change between different icons, you have the ability to do just that, without uninstalling or reinstalling anything. Also, the battery icons in the screenshot are a little bigger than they are now. I had an issue where the icons were slightly larger than the surrounding icons, but that's fixed. I just need new screenshots..........
Disclaimers/Warnings:
*This is my first attempt at theming, but they have been running perfectly fine on myriad Paranoid Galaxy Nexus', Nexus 4's, and my own Nexus 7 (as well as some other N7's people have installed on) and I have had no actual problems in performance or function reported by anybody in either forum, besides the normal bumps in the road any mod/theme will encounter. However, if for some reason you run into problems (themes won't apply, tablet dies, ROM borked, dragons flying out of the charging port, etc... ), I am not responsible. I will help you however I can, though. I honestly can't think of anything this theme could do to your phone anyway, but you never know.
*MAKE A BACKUP! I know that sounds silly for a theme, but since this is my first try, I suggest you have a backup just in case. So far I've had a good bit of downloads and comments in the Galaxy Nexus and Nexus 4 threads, and I think it's safe to say its stable. Still, make a backup just in case.
*The theme works in all standard UI modes, (phone, phablet, various tablet) but I can't test every configuration out there. If you have issues let me know and I'll see if I can fix it.
*You will most likely get the "This theme is missing assets for your screen size" message, but hit apply anyway. Almost every theme I've ever seen throws this message, but it doesn't affect anything in these themes.
*It should work on each version of PA that comes out, but there is a chance something will change to break it. I'm really not sure. I'll test when each version comes out, until there's no more demand for this theme.
*These are designed for the Galaxy Nexus, Nexus 4, and now Nexus 7, each running Paranoid Android 3.0. However, I've had several reports that they work on other devices and other ROMs, so you're welcome to try it. PA is the only ROM it is being tested on, however.
Thanks for looking, and if anybody has any issues or requests, feel free to let me know!! Any and all feedback is welcomed and encouraged! Enjoy!

[MetaMorph Theme] Dark Metal for Sense v1.0

So after all that this community has given me, I figured I'd give a little back. I originally planned to release a ROM, but after numerous failed attempts at a good kernel and 2 bricked phones, I figured it was safer to play in Photoshop.
This was planned to be in the aforementioned ROM, but instead I'll just release it as a metamorph for everyone to enjoy. As stated, it is for Sense-based ROMs. I built it with the framework from xtrROM 3.03, but it's been tested on Evil Eris as well as a couple others.
Right now, it's pretty basic. Just the status bar and related icons and a couple checkboxes are finished. I'm working on everything else as I have time, but work is pretty busy and the girl and her devil children keep me tied up (not literally) at home.
Basically, I didn't want a white bar, and the black bar is wearing on me, so I went in-between. I'm not a fan of the super-flashy icons, so I kept it simple. The background is a nice brushed metal look and the icons, although tiny, are black and red marble. I considered blue, but I think there's already 216 blue themes floating around. I'm not so sure about the battery icon, but I've changed it 6 times and settled on this one. Feedback is welcome.
Anyway, on to the theme...

I know that the pulldown bar and the "Verizon Wireless" area are 2 pixels too short. Stupid .9 files. I'll fix that later. Also, I'd like the status bar text to be black, which I know how to do with hex editing, but if someone has a quick and dirty method, let me know!
Let me know what you think and lay out any suggestions you may have. Enjoy!

P.S. I had a couple of PMs about the background. I used the Mabilo Wallpaper App. It was in the 3D/Abstract section I think. The clock is the Simple Date/Time Widget from gz? $1.99 in the market I think.
Change Log
v1.0 Initial release.
love the look of this! great work.
sadly, im not on a sense rom.
Erishasnobattery,
Great work! Im on xtrROM 3.0.3 and i have been looking to theme it. My first try was with a kevlar and needless to say it did not go so well. 2/3 of the theme worked.... Once you refine this one a bit more and work on the icons some more, i will definitely try it. I know the blue has been done to death, but a cobalt blue would be cool.
looks good! definately will be trying this later. loving the brushed metal look. =D
i'm currently using kevlar, more like a mixture of the various versions of kevlar mash and and some elements of froyo kevlar, and a modification of another theme. (it sounds messy doesn't it? =P) some of the stuff doesn't apply, or i haven't figured out what the file needs to be named, or found the file itself, so some some of the stock htc status bar icons still show up with the stock status bar background in the box around it. makes the status bar look a little funny/incoherant sometimes.
as for the blue.....
BLUE IS SOOOOOOOO AWESOME THOUGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! j/k. a touch here an there doesn't hurt. just don't go overboard, and its pleasant. but it's your theme, do whatever you want with it. even if you make it neon green (please don't....)
Don't know if anyone cares but I just tried this on white widow 4.4 and its running fine.

Yeah, the framework for the status bar doesn't change much between HTC and AOSP/Cyanogen in 2.1. This part of it should work ok.
I will most likely make a non-sense version as well in that spare time that I don't really have. I flashed it over a Froyo ROM earlier just to see and most of it took, but some of the status bar stuff still shows up with a black background which annoys me greatly.
I thought all the black icons was odd, that explains it.

I'm using it with xtrROM 3.0.3 and its working just find is there any other place I can find sense based themes.
Sent from my Eris using Tapatalk
Installed on my phone. Looks great. Definitely gonna keep this for a while. I like the animated charge icon in the battery meter. I'm gonna have to change other aspects of my phone to match the notification bar but thats easy. If this is your first ever theme, you did a awesome job. Keep up the outstanding work.
If I can make one suggestion for your post of the theme. That is to put the "disclaimer" up about not being responsible if it bricks your phone and whatnot. Common sense says that any modifications can damage the device but sometimes there can be lack of it.
Great look
Great work erishasnobattery!!!! I am currently running xtrSense4.0.6.1 and really need to give Zach.xtr his props for that rom, but I have been searching for 2 weeks for a MetaMorph theme or add on for my Droid Eris and have not been very successful. This Dark Metal theme is very simple and the color scheme is Verizon all the way. I really like the pull down notification w/frosted glass look with the Verizon Wireless in burgundy Marble at the top. CLASSY! I too would like the letters to be in black so I await an update as for any other additions my suggestion is to keep it as simple as possible. I do not like when a theme takes over completely as I feel HTC knew what they were doing originally at least aesthetically. I also have the Fresh Espresso Launcher and love that your theme is not overpowering to this look.
I enclosed some screenies so how you like me now.

[THEME] Epic Black Class v0.2 (4 Launchers to choose from)

This DOES NOT include themed icons YET. Will be implemented before v1.0.
NOTE: MAKE SURE YOU HAVE ADW UNINSTALLED BEFORE APPLYING THIS THEME.
Changelog:
v0.1
*Released
v0.1.2
*Does not de-odex
*updated because it was replacing Launcher.apk, now ADW is it's own separate file. If you flashed v0.1 this will correct my previous mistake by bringing Launcher.apk back to stock.
v0.1.4
*Updated quite a few images, mostly icons.
*All notifications are visible in pull down now, whether black or white, I choose half 45% gray, and half 55% gray seeing as this would provide best visibility.
v0.1.5
*De-odexed and zipaligned using Aridon's .img as base. Thanks Aridon!
*Updated install instructions.
v0.1.6
*Updated ADW version to 1.1.5(fixes landscape mode appearing weird for a second when changing orientation)
*Updated a few icons here and there.
*Made Transparent pull down background a bit darker, looks much better IMO.
v0.1.7
*Modified to work with noobnl's Andromeda Rom. Thanks Noob! You're the man, but you probably already knew that.
v0.1.8
*Changed launcher icon. Feedback wanted.
v0.1.9
*Changed status bar.
*Changed launcher icon back to square, v0.2 will have a brand new icon.
v0.2
*Added 2 new launcher options. Total of 4 launcher options.
*Battery as percent now moves in 5% intervals i.e. 100,95,90,85....(Will be moving to 1% intervals in future releases)
*Charging battery icon is a bit weird sometimes, but looks fine, and will be fixed later.

v0.2 (Pics with Launcher 1)
Looks like a nice start!
Not really digging the square launcher button though. The large dark black square in the middle offsets the smaller round/transparent bubble icons.
Can't wait to see where this goes!
Nice start. Same here not digging the black sqaure. Round smoke black... lol
Keep up the nice work. Dont forget the icons in the taskbar
Updated. Check first post for pics. Will be released after a few things are ironed out.
Quite classy indeed.
You wouldn't happen to be releasing the battery % mod as a stand alone like you did with the Moment's theme you made, would you?
As usual, awesome work...still getting used to seeing xda and sdx combining forces on a phone, though.
double post?
I actually am not responsible for the original battery as percentage release but I wil port it over when I am finished with this. I assume you are referring to stock theme with battery as percentage correct?
Awesome this looks great!

Right..Khanning's mod. The one (here's a link to crake's work on the Moment) that you included in your post here: http://forum.sdx-developers.com/theme-files/blackclass-rev-2-(adw-1-0-1)/
Edit: Hey! I can post links now. It's the little things in life that make me happy these days. heh.
I am having a problem right now with market crashing. Anyone know of a reason, besides of a messed up image inside of framework, why this would be happening, such as system app isn't deodexed or something similar?
Look good !!
one feedback, should keep the text font the same as the title bar, uniform font would make it better
keep us posted!
Fixed market problem expect a preliminary release in the next 12 to 24.

Awesome news. If you need a beta tester let me know I love bricking phones !!!!! lol
This right here shows the beginning of full support in the Epic. I am still with my Evo, since I can't get my Epic until Tomorrow. I saw the video quality capture and it stunned me vs the Evo in playback. Either on screen or on the TV. It's amazing to be honest. So.. this is another addition that makes me want this more.
When does it release? I'd be willing to test.. if it helps.

Yes you will like the epic although it doesn't compare well in the build quality department if you ask me but hey its still truly an awesome phone. I mess with my evo and epic side by side sorta like non identical twins as far as performance much the same with their own key personalitys lol

nice work on the theme
Ok, I am not familiar with T-Mobile "themer" so probably a stupid question, but...

Yes... If you're running CM7.
I'm a rom-whore, and I'm damn proud of it.
If your device is running CM7 nightlies then yes you can. @ hazmatic the only things I notice on the Droid Incredible is the signal 0 and signal null don't match your theme they revert back to the GB theme. Also the music progress bar is just a fuzz off. But this is a beautiful start I will definitely be keeping an eye on this thread. Thanks for sharing.

Very nice theme and finally we're starting to see themes made for the new tmobile theme engine. The only thing I will change in this theme is the wi-fi icon that is very similar with the signal icon, but besides that, everything is fine.
Keep up the good work.
Mike
Yuuup, on the DInc it doesn't change anything in the status bar. Everything else seems to be fine, except for that and the music progress bar.
Everything else looks really sleek and sexy though. I will DEFINITELY be keeping my eyes on this one.

JAMT-(Just Another Minimal Theme)-CM7 Theme [H/MDPI]

JAMT
Just Another Minimal Theme
T-Mobile Theme Chooser [HDPI][MDPI]
JAMT has evolved! As the icons for the original theme were the first icons I'd ever made I didn't really know how to go about creating a unified look. So I used the current ones as a base and worked them into something far better (IMO).
There are 2 versions of each theme, Free and Donate. The donate versions have more extensive theming and have themed battery percentage (through cyanogenmod settings).
Here are the results

If you really like a feature let me know in market feedback so I will keep it in, people complaining about the look of something can ruin it for the people who love it.
If you have an issue PM or e-mail me, don't rate the app low if it's something that can be easily fixed.
If you do choose to buy a white version I recommend the donate, not the percentage one. The percentage version was created before I knew how to theme the built in mini-battery icon. Although the animation is less smooth, it does pick up changed fonts.
If there is a program you use and you want the notification icon themed let me know and I'll have a look.
Zipthemer Additions
Hinted Black Lockscreen
Hinted White Lockscreen
Gradient White Lockscreen (Experimental due to xml edits)
Please give feedback and rate the app if you like it!

Beautiful. I am usually not one for light themes but this is theme is so pristine that I will be using it for a long time. Keep up the great work.
Loving it, its a great start
This theme looks amazing! Great job on this...can't wait for updates!

Would it be possible that you compile it for mdpi devices ? Would be really great !
Thanks
I am so surprised this theme hasn't gotten more attention. It is a great job and I haven't found any issues with it as of yet - unlike others I have tried that are constantly updating.

I would like to. Haven't had much success with mdpi themes in the past though, the images tend to lack sharpness. But I can always have another crack.

Thanks for the praise! It does need some tweaking, but I'm glad the overall feeling is positive!

Yeah I'll have a go. Can someone with a mdpi phone please post a screenshot of their CM7 phone with the notification draw down? I need to get some pixel dimensions.

[THEME] SlateSense for MIUI (v1.3)

I've wanted a sense theme for MIUI pretty badly since I started using it again about a month ago, and since the only one was for froyo, I decided to make my own.

THIS THEME INCLUDES:
Boot Animation found [here]
Signa icons found [here]
Themed SystemUI (Notification Bar)
Themed Sense 3.0 Lockscreen
------------------------------------------------------------
THINGS THIS THEME DOES NOT INCLUDE (download separately):
HTC Live Wallpaper found [here]
Slate clock and apps found [here]
Dock found [here]
Blank png to use as icons on the dock is attached to this post
------------------------------------------------------------
My setup uses all included and not included on LauncherPro Plus. You need LPP to use the widgets, which is the main reason I'm using it. The clock still works on any launcher.
Please keep in mind that this theme is a work in progress. I'll try to release an update as often as signa gets updated (usually every monday and friday), so there should be an update ~once a week.
The most important part...

really like the status bar icon, hope it can also replicate the pull down bar like sense in future, thanks
This looks amazing!!! Nice work!
Thanks everyone
I've already spent a few hours on it today. I ran into a few issues with the .9 pngs, but I think I've fixed everything. I'll see if I can get a version with modded framework out tomorrow.

Small update
I'm still running into issues with the .9 pngs. I'm sure I can figure out what I'm doing wrong pretty quickly (I've made a lot of progress today) but my computer is also giving me some problems. I have a 500 gb partition I'm not even using so I'm just going to reinstall win7. This'll probably take all night, so I'm done for the day. I'll get what I can get done in the morning, and hopefully have an update out by noon with the updated signa icons (if I'm not too busy playing tf2 ).
sorry for the noob question, how can i apply background icon for the dock ?
I've seen a lot of bad MIUI themes in the past, but this does actually look good! Thumbs up!
This theme is just beautiful. Great job!

I'm looking forward to the update!
thanks for share it!!!
Thank you everyone for your kind words
Flasher8 has brought to my attention that I have forgotten to include the blank icon for the dock icons. It is now attached to the OP.
Also, my comp is now installing all of HP's bloat and I think it'll take a few hours. I should be back up and running by noon, but if not you guys can expect to see an update by later tonight. If signa gets updated, then I'll throw that in, too.
For the dock can you make one that has messaging instead of the music?

Sure, but it'll take me a while. My comp is still at it, and it seems like it might take all night. I always run into problems with these recovery discs...
new dock will be up later if my comp is back up because it only takes a minute. The update might take until tomorrow, sorry guys
I'll also take requests for other replacements of the third icon of the dock if you guys want it to be the browser or something.
Are you thinking of removing all the orange and replacing it with blue, or another color? Or are you leaving everything white and orange? Just curious
hey theme's a nice port of Sense!!
But i am not gettin the lockscreen ring and all the icons :-?

I was originally going to make most of the orange green, but I'm starting to think blue might look better. Some things like the toggle icons I'd rather have get darker upon pressing, instead of becoming orange. I've seen green overscroll, and it doesn't look too nice. I'm gravitating to blue for overall unity of the theme though.
