PETITION] SwiftKey Theming Feature Request! - Android Themes

Hello fellow themers!
I was wandering around SwiftKey forums and just found a topic about themes request and saw a post of a staff encouraging people to vote in theming features, so i thought: Why not to bring these threads/topic to XDA Themers Community?
We all know that since the update that brought weird security at swiftkey's APK, it is almost impossible to theme it. So, it is their right as devs to restrain us from theming it, why not they give us some theming power?
Here are the sugestion threads:
User Customizable Themes: http://support.swiftkey.net/forums/116689-1-swiftkey-ideas-/suggestions/1876675-add-color-customization-to-the-theme-options
Open Source API to Make Themes: http://support.swiftkey.net/forums/116689-1-swiftkey-ideas-/suggestions/2439506-it-would-be-great-if-you-offered-an-open-source-ap
It would be nice to have a lot of us to flood this sugestion and get their attention!
Regards!

[CM/Metamorph] Android-Look.co.cc [Suggestions and Themers Needed]

Okay, so here is my goal. (MODS, if this is not where you want this posted let me know)
I have setup a site at http://android-look.co.cc/. I love XDA's forums (sometimes..), and wanted a site that had all of the themes for Cyanogen's mods and Metamorph is one place. I have posted numerous themes to the site all organized by theme type.
I have unlimited bandwidth and unlimited space available and would love to utilize it.
I am willing to allow developers to post their own pages and updates too.
Most developer's pages link right back to XDA for screenshots and installation instructions.
If you are a themer and are interested in hosting your themes on my site, please sign up and email me. I will give you moderator access which will allow you to post and edit content.
Site: http://android-look.co.cc/
Mobile: http://android-look.co.cc/
Twitter: http://twitter.com/androidlook
Suggestions and input is always welcome. If this is something the community is not wanting, then I will not continue the project.
I am restaurant manager and have limited time. Until themers get involved, I will only updated 1-3 times a week.

i see you posted the power widget i made i don't care if you post it on your site but i would like it if you added me as the maker
i like the idea of a good, clean, organized website for all your favorite and unknown themes and Morphs. great idea, i hope it gets popular.

Click to collapse
That's fine. Fixed. I am not really interested in maintaining this site. I am hoping that the theme developer's will use this site as free hosting (instead of those terrible file-sharing sites). If you are interested, please let me know.

[REQ] Write up or wiki for theming.

Since I am no help to the dev community at this time(still learning). I thought I would give creating themes a try. It would be great if someone who knows more than us noobs, would make a thread or a wiki listing what files or locations go to what parts of the ui that are able to be modified. I have read the thread on the notification drawer and am currently working on that but what about the stock widgets and other aspects of the ui. I know there are threads that explain how to do this but if it was in one location and maybe stickied maybe we could get more themes rolling for these bada$$ phones. I know it would be easier for me for what that is worth.

Central Themes - A Website Dedicated to Android Themes

About 5 months ago, I had the idea of creating a site strictly for themes for rooted Android phones. Of course, I did my research and there are a few out there, but none of them had the organization or information one needed about any certain theme. So, I went with my idea and now today, here I am with the initial design of my latest project, Central Themes.
The way I see Central Themes is a place where developers can sign up for their own developer profiles where they will be allowed to upload their themes with screenshots, features, descriptions, etc.
Now, while users will not be able to sign-up for their own profiles, they will be able to comment and leave their feedback on themes on the website.
Now, why am I posting this here? Simply put, I need your feedback and who better to ask for feedback than the users of the themes and the developers who create them!
Right now, all I have are the initial designs and that's where you guys come in. Check out http://www.centralthemes.com/feedback and tell me what you think!
What features would you like to see added, what other information needs to be put on the theme pages, would you like forums, etc, etc, etc.
So, please, feel free to send an e-mail to the address on the website or feel free to leave your constructive criticism in this thread.
Thanks,
Travis James

Aspiring Dev

Hello! I'm new to this forum. I apologize if this is the wrong place for this.
I am an experienced graphic designer and illustrator and I'm overflowing with ideas. I believe my design skills could be useful for a dev team. While I am yet to learn how to develop themes (not including Zoo per etc.), I think it would be awesome to partner up with a dev or dev team contributing my design skills and ideas, while learning how to build official apps and themes.
If there are any Dave out there who think they could me for me and/or benefit from skills I already have... PLEASE contact me and I can show you some of my work!
Here is an example of my design skills in theming using Zooper. I shared this in the screenshots thread also.
Thanks in advance for your feedback and/or constructive critique!

Open Source Dark CMTE theme project

Hey, I am really new to making themes. I wanted to start with a dark theme for CM13.
I want to know if anyone here would be interested in such a project (if any such project already exsist, please redirect me).
Here is a link to what I have started. I know it's hardly anything .
https://github.com/SubhrajyotiSen/Vanta
Also, if anyone here knows the original creators of assets used in my project, please mention their name.
There are plenty of CMTE dark themes (Swift Dark, Euphoria Dark, Dark MTRL) but if you would like to learn how, I'd recommend reading and posting in this existing thread rather than starting a new one.
Thread closed.
