Hi guys. Little bit time ago i have a big big important question. First of all i'm noob, if you remember 1-2 yw ago, was on 2x gingerbread, 2.3.4, 2.3.3 etc. When was gingerbread, the front camera and the back camera was wonderful, front camera was incredible beautiful, when i updated 4.0 the things changed. Front camera is ugly, to sharpness images ( even on paranoid custom rom ) and the back camera is changed to a little bit low quality in darkness or somth like this. I flashed on paranoid the ics lg camera but is like on paranoid camera. Is a way to become to gingerbread's camera quality? Or i need to downgrade to gingerbread...?

Roms won't have any effect on the quality of the camera. Maybe it was poor lighting or something. Did you wipe before loading the rom?
There are only two types of camera software that could possibly affect picture quality.
TheDude uses the HTC camera (which imo takes better photos) and then theres the stock camera. If you want the stock camera, you probably will have to use JF's ROM. Most of the other ROM's have the HTC Camera app
ah ok thanks because i took sum photos in the house with stock camera the pics we're looking crisp but i haven't gone outside with the HTC camera app for lighting i will check it out it will most likely stay due to the features included
I use the HTC camera . I think it's better, zoom FTW!
Lol i found the problem the stupid back cover was dirty i used windex cleaned it out its better now. Does any recommend cutting that plastic off
I wouldnt recomend doing that. It will expose the camera to more dust and the elements
Hello guys. I just flashed Virtuous Quattro's ICS ROM and after playing around with it I realized that the camera has a bit of a problem ( tho I knew it did from the forums ) and I was just wondering which camera apps which are out on the market is the best for taking good pictures. I've tried Camera360, FxCamera but it's not really satisfying. ( Could be because I came from a sense ROM although I prefer AOSP builds but sense cameras are just really good )
If possible can anyone name me a few camera apps I could try out? One that can focus manually if there is an app that does that. THANKS IN ADVANCE GUYS!
Here are a few I have tried - Ucam, lgCamera, CameraMX and Pudding Camera.. They are all pretty decent.
amaze camera is greate
camerazoomfx and vignette(good post processing)
Hi All,
I have a Note N-7000. I got it just a few weeks before ICS roll out. The Camera behaves weird and now its not the same as it was in 2.3.
daylight photos are okay but low light photos are really thumbs down and a lot of Red-Eye.
I still have photos before and after update and I can see quality of photos degrading after that!!!
Is Every1 having similar opinions or do I need any other settings to better the quality of photos??
Need you opinion...
Camera on ICS AND JellyBean is Better than on GingerbREAD
I still feel that camera quality has degraded in ICS..is your note also a GT N-7000??
Everyones note there is a GT-N7000....would be really weird if the folks who use the american Note were hanging out here.....
But no, I've not noticed it and the camera in the JellyCore ROM (JellyBean rom) is better than the GB one

We'll my brother has the I717 and comparing my N7000 to his, I'd say the cam resolution is much more cleaner and sharp as compared to mine.. Though I can't say if this is ROM related or so.... he has CM10 installed and I have the (self modified) LRQ one. Not that it matters though.
exactly the same thing I observed that the indian note camera's quality's degraded than thew others..I see a lot of red-eye too when i use flash..is there any setting for removing that or any update or something that would better the quality..??
Hi there,
I really would like to take one of this amazing photosphere-pictures with my 2x (and its terrible camera, too bad!).
Hi tried this one: http://d-h.st/aIy
on the topogigi 30a, but it crash after 2-3 shots..
Since a good & stable cm 10.1 seems far in time, is it possible to get camera app from android 4.2 working on some ICS rom?
Thanks!
MJ
Hey !
So I've been using slim bean on my p880 for a while (I like it, it's clean, simple, and doesnt eat much battery/hour). There's only one thing I dislike about it : The front facing camera is dark as hell - it really sucks in environments with low light levels and with movement. But I remember that when I used the stock rom, in the beginning , the camera used to have much better performance in places with low light levels, even though there was still some trouble dealing with pictures requiring focusing moving objects.
Anyway, I wanted to know if this problem was only with this rom or with all major cm roms out there for p880 , and if there's some sort of fix for this. I love this rom and my gf likes playing on it and taking pictures with it, and they sometimes totally suck due to this. Help ?

front camera is green with that one i think
if you're talking about: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2288917
Slim is on grouper blobs then? If so, afaik mowt camera apps will also give green screen on frontal cam preview. Google camera and aosp camera are the only ones that will give normal preview on frontal as well
