Hello everyone
so I got my lg optimus 4x hd a couple of weeks ago and I've been experiencing an issue with the lockscreen. Here is the problem: When I press the top button to unlock my phone I get the lockscreen, but in the background the phone already starts up the app that i was running when I locked the phone.
For instance: I was having a conversation on whatsapp and I locked my phone(with the chat open). I get a message so I get a notification sound and of course an icon in the top left corner of the phone. NOW: when I press the top button the notification icon is supposed to stay there until I completely unlock my phone. However the phone starts up whatsapp, opens the chat, reads the message and makes the icon go away BEFORE I fully unlocked my phone by swiping across the screen.
I hope this isn't too much of a bother but can anyone check if this also happens on their 4x hd's?
thanks in advance

You'll have to excuse me if I have posted this in the wrong section, I've only signed up recently in the hope that someone will be able to help me. From what I've seen on this forum it all seems too technical for my little brain to handle but we'll have a go..
I have the MDA Compact IV and up until yesterday I had the pop ups working fine (e.g. when you get a new text, the pop up appears so you can read it on screen without having to go into the inbox, the pop up appears when the alarm goes off to you can either dismiss/snooze, etc). But now the pop ups have suddenly disabled themselves?
It's a right pain because when the alarm goes off I can't turn it off without tapping the alarm symbol in the top menu, tapping it again (which brings up the pop up) and then press snooze or dismiss.. When you're half asleep this isn't really pratical!
Does anyone have any idea why this has happened? Or how to get them back preferably?! T-Mobile have no idea...
Hi all. Got my first ATIV S Neo with Sprint a couple weeks ago, had graphical corruptions, and random reboots, replaced it for another.
This one works much better, but there are some issues I'm seeing (nitpicking?) and I'm not sure if I have another defective handset or if this is just WP8, or if this is common to just this handset. Came from an HTC arrive on WP7.5 and things were pretty stable.
1) Occasional live tile animation stuttering; If I, for instance, go into the messages hub, sometimes the live tile swing animation will lock for half a second and then immediately pop into the message hub. Happens loading other apps too.
2) Occasional lock screen weirdness;
2a) very rare; press power button, screen comes on, screen fades out like the phone lost power but not to backlight, then backlight shuts off, pressing the power button again, everything works fine.
2b) occasional; in a dark room, press the power button to wake to lock screen, press again to turn off. screen/backlight goes out, backlight comes back, then goes out, then quickly comes back and back out.
3) in IE, typing in the address bar, text input freezes as it brings up suggestions from bing. (type "google.com" and get "gole.com"). disabling search suggestions makes it go away.
4) Text notifications stop working; sometimes the text notification sound stops playing (vibrate remains working). Reboot corrects it. Have also had it where the vibrate alert goes away and not the sound.
Anyone else seeing these? Are these known or is this phone also messed up?
Haven't seen those on my (open-market GSM) ATIV S, but there were a handful of glitches when I first got the phone. Those were corrected in the first big fiormware update from Samsung in my case, but I had to wait a few months for it.

Thanks, that makes me feel a little more comfortable. These problems really don't feel like hardware to me, since they're fairly infrequent. I might have to stop by the sprint store and test the display model out a little.
???
About 40% of the time when I open a notification whether it's from the lock screen or the top notification bar, it can take up to 5 seconds to open. I factory reset and the problem is still there. Is it a known issue or do I need to contact tmo for a replacement?
I have a similar issue, except for me sometimes opening notifications just unlocks the phone and doesn't actually take me to the app that sent the notification.
When my phone rings, the only way for me to answer is to pull down from the top of the phone and then click to answer or decline. It no longer shows on full screen.
I've checked all the full screen app settings and pretty much everywhere that I can think of.
The call also shows on my LG Watch Urbane, so I can answer it there...
Any thoughts on where this setting is?
Figured it out. Upon phone call, I could see the pop-up when I slide the screen down from the top. Then slowly swipe to the left or right revealing the setup gear. Tap it.
Phone calls were set to "muted". I changed it to show all notifications and voila! Now it is working again.
Hi everybody, I've been having a hideous issue with my Note 8 ever since it updated to Android Oreo. So, before when I turned my phone on, either by pressing the home button on the screen or by using the button on the side, I could see the notifications and I could view the whole preview by sliding them down, touch them and open them, erase them or leave them where they where. Now as soon as I use either one of this buttons, the phone automatically selects one of those notifications and pops up the screen with the sign password and iris recognize without giving me the chance of seeing the notifications. If I go back without using the password, the notification it wanted to open gets deleted. It basically takes away the possibility to check the notifications. The problem gets worse when I'm at home because I have the smartlock enabled, so (when and if it works) it opens up any notifications by itself. Sometimes, it's actually rare but it happened a few times already, it does everything on its own. It's on my bed far from me, I'm not even looking at it, a notification arrives, it turns on by itself and asks for my password to open the notification. What do you think? I hope someone has an answer and I hope i didn't create a new thread on an issue already discussed about, but I couldn't find anything similar
