Notification issue - T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S6

About 40% of the time when I open a notification whether it's from the lock screen or the top notification bar, it can take up to 5 seconds to open. I factory reset and the problem is still there. Is it a known issue or do I need to contact tmo for a replacement?

I have a similar issue, except for me sometimes opening notifications just unlocks the phone and doesn't actually take me to the app that sent the notification.

Receiving calls

Has anyone else had issue when receiving call notification will pop-up and can't click on it. Have to Swipe notification. Then pull drop down notification panel then click on answer or dismiss. Tried changing interruptions in notification settings still won't work having [emoji36]
I haven't found that specifically, but I have found that the new nexus devices (both 6 and 9) seem to be a bit odd in processing touches. Like when you unlock it, it takes a moment before it will actually respond to a touch. As an experiment, make a point of ensuring that there is no part of *anything* in contact with the screen glass while you are pressing that answer button. Not a case, not any part of your hand.

Lollipop "black screen" (but nav and status bars are clickable)

I've ran into what has been a lingering issue with Lollipop ROMs I've used. Randomly I would be shown a black screen. I can click on the navigation buttons and they'll highlight but nothing happens. I can swipe down from the status bar but whatever I click, nothing happens. If a call rings through, the black screen will show the contact ringing in, but I can't interact with anything. I've also experienced this on lollipop ROMs for my OnePlus One as well. Same exact issue.
I've done a Google search and some people mentioned maybe having Smart Lock settings enabled, Tasker installed or Light flow installed could be causes, but even after uninstalling and turning those settings off will not fix the issue.
Has anyone else ran into this?

Notification sound cut off, now screen won't turn on

Since updating to marshmallow, my longer notification sounds, especially Calendar Snooze, are cut off.
I read somewhere about an app setting to allow it to turn the screen on as a fix. I did that but now I can't remember what app I made the change in or where I read that suggestion. I thought it might have been Light Flow, but I can't find it in there.
Now my power button fails to wake up the screen the majority of the time. Sometimes the lock screen will flash for a fraction of a second and go black again. Usually it takes 6-10 tries before the screen finally stays on so I can use my phone.
Since the wake up problem started when I tried to fix the notification sound, I'm pretty sure they're related. Any ideas?

if youre using lightflow id suggest wiping the data in it and resetting your notification settings. it does tend to override the system so i can see that screwing with the duration of the notification, and starting fresh usually solves most problems
i have mine set to wake the screen for SMS but not MMS. it creates similar problems with the screen
Thanks for the info. I tried just toggling the screen on settings on and back off for all of the Light Flow apps, and it seems to have fixed my screen turn on problem, at least for now.

I'm having the same notification sound cut short problem, I have a nexus 7 wifi 2013 model running Mohamed rom v2.1
Whenever anyone calls me on google hangouts, the ring only lasts for a second before its cut off, this doesn't happen if the front cover is open, it happens only when its closed.
I didn't have this problem on kitkat, but on MM this problem started from day 1.
I don't see any light flow option anywhere.
Any suggestions to fix this will be very appreciated.
Thanks.

LightFlow fixed my screen problems, but it was just a coincidence that I installed Marshmallow and my sounds got cut off around the same time. I'm still looking for a solution to that issue. Similar to you, if my screen is on, the notification sounds work correctly. If the screen is off, they get cut off.

Lock screen opens notifications on it own

Hi everybody, I've been having a hideous issue with my Note 8 ever since it updated to Android Oreo. So, before when I turned my phone on, either by pressing the home button on the screen or by using the button on the side, I could see the notifications and I could view the whole preview by sliding them down, touch them and open them, erase them or leave them where they where. Now as soon as I use either one of this buttons, the phone automatically selects one of those notifications and pops up the screen with the sign password and iris recognize without giving me the chance of seeing the notifications. If I go back without using the password, the notification it wanted to open gets deleted. It basically takes away the possibility to check the notifications. The problem gets worse when I'm at home because I have the smartlock enabled, so (when and if it works) it opens up any notifications by itself. Sometimes, it's actually rare but it happened a few times already, it does everything on its own. It's on my bed far from me, I'm not even looking at it, a notification arrives, it turns on by itself and asks for my password to open the notification. What do you think? I hope someone has an answer and I hope i didn't create a new thread on an issue already discussed about, but I couldn't find anything similar

Calls not showing

I've noticed that my Note 9 will not sure an incoming call on the screen. If one comes in, it will show in the notification bar, but will not wake up screen and show on main screen. Same thing with text message notifications, does not wake screen or give a notification in pull down. I have to go to messages app to check those.
Anyone with similar issues? Anyone know where to look for any setting changes?

Nevermind. Figured it out. Somehow the Do Not Disturb was turned on to a "Until I turn it off" setting. I had it on a schedule to turn on at night and off in the morning so, it did not even cross my mind to check it until recently. So, if anyone has this, make sure to check that out.
